This is such a small cute cafe! Went here for brunch on Monday for a party of four without any wait! Definitely recommend the short rib loco moco and the banana Chantilly pancake. The short ribs were a bit dry but the flavor of the fried rice mixed with the gravy is so good. Add the creamy yolk of a over east egg will send your taste buds into a nice surprise. The pancake is huge! It's about 14 inches in diameter, we made the mistake of ordering two. Went for breakfast with the family at 8:30, there was already a line of about 6 people ahead of us. It didn't take too long before we were seated as they also have seating at a bar counter. For such a cozy place it was a full house. Service was pretty quick as right after we were seated, water and the menus were brought to us. Found this local place on Yelp and decided to give it a try as I was looking for pancakes. I thought because it was a Wednesday that it wouldn't be bad but we got there around 11am and waited about an hour to be seated. It seemed like a good sign that there were locals waiting patiently to eat there. I ordered the Kalua pork benedict which was delicious- the thick slice of bread was really good and toasted well, there was a lot of pork and the eggs cooked perfectly. Potatoes were just ok - pieces a little too small and some sides were burned. I also ordered a single chantilly banana pancake to share; it was so large I couldn't believe it! It was so yummy though - package edges had a nice crispness, good amount of banana in the pancake and the sauce and toasted coconut complemented it well and not too sweet. I ordered the coconut syrup, which they put on the side, but I didn't even need it. Hubby ordered the MC breakfast plate which he said was good. The fried rice was good but there was something off - I thought maybe the rice needed to be cooked a little longer but hubby said it was just too cold. He ordered the Portuguese sausage, and while he said he liked it, he said it tasted like they gave him the pineapple sausage by mistake. My daughter wanted just regular pancakes, so we ordered the keike pancakes. Had I known my banana pancake was going to be so huge I wouldn't have ordered this one. Food was delicious. Short rib Sandwich and Moco Loco was ordered and liked. Service was slow with the server but quick with the food. We did not receive all we ordered and the bill had all that we ordered so the server for got to deliver but didn't forget to wanna charge. The setting is quaint and lovely. Usually a wait to be seated but food is worth it. To many local trash talking the tourist but that's not the restaurants fault but perhaps location of non likening touts in the area is prominent. Need a hearty breakfast? This is the place! It's located in the Koko marina shopping center. Plenty of parking. There is a sign in sheet outside and chairs to sit while waiting. We didn't have to wait too long which was perfect. The food was so delicious. My husband got the shortrib loco moco. He did mention it tasted good but wish there was more meat. I had the spinach forentine with potatoes. The potatoes were tasty and crunchy. The best part was the chantilly banana pancake. One was enough to share because it's huge? After ten minutes, a waiter came out and seated us next to the kitchen at a two-seat table next to a wall and a table with two people even though there were lots of open four-seat tables. I had heard remarkable feedback on their short rib loco moco, and anyone who knows me, knows that I'll scope out any restaurant who serves a decent one. Yet, on this particular visit, the mochi waffles won over. First of all, anything with fruity pebbles will catch my attention. It's my favorite cereal of all time. Throw in the words "mochi waffles" and there's no way I'm leaving that place without trying it! Fortunately, they were as delicious as they appeared to be. They weren't as sweet as I thought they'd be, which was a good thing. I ate the whole thing in one sitting. It's a rather small hole-in-the-wall, but it's very clean inside and the service is friendly and attentive. We came for lunch on a weekday around 12:30 and there was no wait. Cute, bright interior but pretty small space. Breakfast items are offered all day, so my daughter was able to get the waffle that she wanted (MC fruity waffle - with fruit and cream). Waffle was okay, wish it was a bit crispier to stand up to all the toppings! Lunch options start at 11am, so the rest of us opted for sandwiches. Our friends ordered and enjoyed the fish sandwich and veggie sandwich! You get to choose salad or chips for a side and have an option for either ciabatta or brioche roll for your sandwich. We checked with our server and she recommended brioche for fish sandwich and ciabatta for veggie sandwich. I ordered the short rib sandwich on a brioche roll which was small but delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the salad dressing which was thick and sticky. For the amount of people dining in the restaurant post-brunch rush (not many), service was a little slow. We had to keep getting the attention of the servers to order and get the check. Prices for the sandwiches seem a bit high for what you get, but overall food was decent. Situated in a shopping plaza, there is sufficient parking. We arrived for breakfast, signed in at the door, and waited to be seated. First impressions were that the restaurant is freezing so take a jacket if you get cold easily. They also don't have bathrooms and you have to walk outside down a few businesses, and up some stairs. Something was wrong with their payment system during our visit and the sign on the door indicated "cash only" so be prepared. I ordered the Denver Omelet ($14) which came with toast and was delicious. Coffee seemed freshly made and good as well. The food came out and everyone was like, "wow" for each plate. They decorate them nicely with color and shape to where it's not just a plate of food coming out but a creation. My sister-in-law ordered hot chocolate and it came out piled high with whipped topping and chocolate. Any kid would be in paradise with their hot chocolate. Stoked we slid in with no line or wait today (Tuesday at noon). Whenever I come here I remember the delicious crab Benedict I had before. Today however, my desire to be healthy outweighed my desire for crab Benedict so I went for a savory veggie crepe instead. It had sun dried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, onions and I asked them to go light on the provolone. It was pretty good but the veggies were a little too blackened for my taste. My friend devoured hers. Our other friend who is a pancake fanatic ordered the strawberry milk pancake with fresh strawberries and pistachios. The short stack with 1 pancake may have been short, but it was very wide with about a 13" diameter. The light strawberry cream on top was good and according to the pancake expert, the pancake had a good consistency- not too soft but still soft. I also had a pomegranate iced tea which was good and not too sweet. There are a variety of flavors to choose from. Friends had coffee which comes with 1 free refill. I would have given this place 5 stars on my last visit with crab Benedict. The menu has a nice variety of breakfast food with something for everyone. They use fresh, quality Ingredients. Service is friendly, efficient, young and local. But today i wasn't thrilled and we were bothered by the chemical smell of cleaner makes it hard to enjoy a meal. read more

My family came out here from Honolulu to go jet skiing, but we had to find something yummy to eat. I stumbled upon this spot on yelp and i will have to say yelp never disappoints!! The loco mock short rib however was out of this world! You get the option of brown or white rice which a health nut like myself greatly appreciates.
