Pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese, and banana pudding
    Lori W.

As someone from Alabama that enjoys Moe's BBQ all the time, I love this place! I got a pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and banana pudding and it was all delicious. I just wish the prices were a little better and the portions were bigger. The service was friendly and quick. It was relatively busy, but we went on a Friday night so that's probably why.

Great pulled pork sandwiches, Choice of about 10 different sides with a drink for $12. Kids meals are $7 and are very large ( large enough for adult) and come with a side and drink. Banana pudding is a winner with the kiddos. Sides are in a small Styrofoam bowl. Buns on the sandwiches are fresh and have a great taste. Relaxed atmosphere, plenty of seating, staff is very attentive and knowledgeable.

Visited this place during a business trip to Avon, Colorado. The owners are from Alabama and have grown to more locations since they opened this one a few years back. The BBQ is truly one of the best I have had in recent years. Not sure when I'll be in Colorado but I'll def check their locations in Alabama next time I'm there.

Had the turkey plate with 2 sides and 2 ribs added. Only thing i didn't love was the side cornbread dressing, I'd try something different for a side next time. Cornbread itself was fantastic.

Such a feast after a day of ski at Vail! Our hotel was in Eagle so we came here for BBQ, starving and exhausted. Both the brisket and pulled pork were extremely flavor and with the right level of lean and fat meat. My favorite side was the marinated claws which was a perfect match for the meat. A lot of local came here and ordered takeout as well.

The ribs were overcooked and the sauce smelled bad. I would probably stick to another dish.

Not that there are other dining options in this town of 70-80 year round residents :) We were in Marble on the weekend of their "Marble Fest", a multi-day music festival. Friday night we were so so hungry after a Jeep tour up to the Crystal Mill. The tour guides highly recommended Slow Groovin', and even told us what things to order. They did not lead us astray. The restaurant was SLAMMED. Hundreds of people were there for dinner and live music (a kick off to the festival). We had a large group of 9, but they got us seated inside within a few minutes. The food was ridiculous and priced super fairly. Good beer and full-bar menu as well. Fried okra was great. Mac-n-cheese was delicious and "yuge". Fries were house made and topnotch. The Manic Mayor Sandwich, had burnt ends and potato salad on Texas toast... DANG! Only thing that could have been better: the inside of the restaurant was ungodly hot. If they had roll up doors or windows that opened it would have been perfect. Don't miss out! Make Slow Groovin' BBQ a destination.

The perfect place to kick back with some good food and fresh mountain air. I ordered the brisket platter, and it did not disappoint. The brisket was tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. Everything is smoked in house and served with house made sides--I had the tangy coleslaw and hearty baked beans, both solid. I started with the fried okra, which came out in a massive portion, piping hot and incredibly crispy. Totally addictive, especially dipped in their delicious homemade ranch. To drink, I had a spicy Paloma and enjoyed everything out on their patio. Between the food, the setting, and the vibe, this place is well worth the drive. Highly recommend if you're anywhere near Marble.

Service was excellent again. 1st visit: I've been in Colorado for nearly two weeks and this has probably been the best meal I've had so far, even after dining in Aspen (Clark's, Aspen Public House) and Boulder (Flagstaff, the Kitchen American Bistro). I love chorizo tacos and the ones here served with potatoes and fried egg with a side of chips and salsa was one of the best I've ever had and I think that's says a lot after living a lifetime in Texas. The hot dog was flavorful and probably a foot long. It was served with lightly salted french fries that reminded me if the ones my mom used to make me. The Bloody Mary was also very good and slightly spicy although it was only garnished with a lime and no olives. From the friendly charm of the staff to rustic "dining" area to the delicious bbq this is a must go to place when in town or passing through. They did an excellent job explaining the options and providing recommendations. Took a while to pack up my carryout order but they did an excellent job packing it up and took pride in doing a great job. So there is some indoor dining but the outdoor dining is fun. I really like the layout and feel of Moes. Value (A) Seems like a good value - expect to pay between $16-$20 per person. I paid a bit more than that but added ribs. I didn't finish but if super hungry I would have. Quality (A-) The food is really good bbq. Like if I lived close by I would come all the time. And I will visit Everytime I am near by. The cornbread is really really good. The coleslaw was vinegary based. The baked beans are just okay. Was expecting a bit of a stronger flavor. The Bama pulled pork was good as were the ribs. Note the meats were all really good but nothing great. Suggestion - have a sampler platter with all your cuts of meat and two sides. Price it at $24.99 or $29.99. If my math is correct it should drive revenue and profit and introduce customers to different options. If you are in town - I would recommend stopping by and getting some Moes - next time I visit I'm going to try something different.

The first time we were disappointed upon arrival when they were out of burnt ends. We're from KCMO and we judge a town's BBQ by their burnt ends. Nonetheless, the brisket, sauces and sides were enough to warrant a second visit. Oh, and that house margarita...chef's kiss! Just what a tired ass mom needs after a long day of "hey moms." On the second visit, I went early at 4PM and ordered carryout. AND a margarita while I waited! The margarita is simple, the perfect size and made with all fresh ingredients. It rivals more notable ones around town. This time, they had ALL the burnt ends and boy, were they worth the wait! I got a one meat platter with burnt ends, collards and Mac n cheese. My husband got a two meat platter with burnt ends, brisket, beans and slaw. We got KC and Texas sauces (they have 5 or 6 to choose from, all inspired by different BBQ regions in the US). Both platters came with cornbread which is the only thing that needs some work IMHO. It's small, dry and not worthy of the calories. But EVERYTHING else was soooo good! Fatty, juicy, flavorful meats. Balanced sauces. And delicious sides! The Mac, collards and beans get an A+, the slaw is a solid B. Service was great on both visits. Friendly, efficient and fast! One thing to note is they have an adorable patio. I've not eaten out there yet but it's well maintained with lots of flowers and good coverage from the sun. Might have to check it out on our third visit!
