You cannot teach enthusiasm. Or, kindness. You have to hire people who are enthusiastic and kind. I am new to this part of Jacksonville and, while the people at the Town Center store were great people, the team at Oakleaf in Orange Park (Jacksonville, your site insists, but NOT the Country Road unit) is exceptional. I am not sure of titles or positions, but I am guessing Troy is in management. If he is responsible for the hiring, he has done a great job! In my few visits to this store, I have always been treated like they are actually happy I showed up. This is so rare in the restaurant business these days. On my first visit, I met JJ, an energetic and enthusiastic bundle of energy. On my subsequent visits, she introduced me to Vanessa and Alexis, who were just as effervescent. I really like going to this store! Troy, while a bit more reserved, demonstrated confident professionalism. It is also clear that the team that works with him respects his leadership. This is a happy (clean!) place, and it will be a regular stop for Patsy (my wife) and me now that we live close by. read more

I have lived in oakleaf for so long and never tried Moe's location but I have been missing out! I was craving a burrito and it was HUGE, way more than I could eat by myself and they had a $10 value meal that came with a drink, quest, and chips which was a great deal. The servers were friendly and very helpful, and smiled at all the customers. read more

Lackluster visit - showcasing sloppy serving area, messy burrito, and flavorless food. Not sure what happened with Moes lately but this visit was a bummer. Really grossed out by the messy serving area, dried out food in the trays and globs of food across the serving area. I saw a few other customers eyeballing the mess as well. My stack really had no flavor, it was weird. I didn't finish my food because it just wasn't great. My husband's burrito was rolled terribly, both ends were not tucked so food just fell out into the bag. On a good note, he said his food was fine tasting. My only compliment I can share about the visit is the staff is friendly and dining area is mostly clean. Definitely not a regular spot for me and I personally would choose another option for a quick Tex Mex type meal. read more

Awesome experience at Moe's! I went with a very large group of people (~20-25 if I had to guess) for work lunch on a Thursday, and they totally killed it. The staff was enthusiastic, upbeat, and did not seem stressed at all with the number of people (shoutout to Lexi, Shea, and Jason!!!!). I love Moe's and this was probably the best location I've been to because of the service. The food was great (we all got meals), and I was so impressed that they did not run out of any meat, toppings, or queso at all! The line was clean, as were the tables and soda station. The line moved surprisingly fast considering how many of us there were as well. I highly highly recommend this location to anyone wanting a delicious meal with the best staff! read more

There was a time when I loved Moe's. Fresh hot food, your choices of toppings/meats/cheeses/etc., but I'm not sure what has happened. First it seems that the employees are more concerned about to-go orders. Now I get it, you have people coming in to get their food, but you also left a line of people waiting on their food as well. Why not have one person dedicated to to-go orders and another to in-person orders? That was not the case today. Second, the meats all seemed very dry and they certainly weren't as generous with the serving as typical either. The rest is good - guac is good, chips are fresh and crispy, queso is served hot (but tiny for the amount you pay to get an combo). My biggest complaint today was the charges. The menu board said Homewreckers Bowls were 9.29 plus $1.10 upcharge for pork, chicken, etc. (what meat that leaves I guess is ground beef only - why not just charge the same?). A sign on the glass in front of the food line said Homewrecker Bowls were $10.39, but did not specify which meat (although the picture said white chicken), and that a combo was $3.29. While eating I happened to glance at my receipt and we were charged $10.79 for the bowls and $3.49 for the combo. When we questioned this the response was "oh, all the signs are wrong". Huh? How is this even legal, much less ethical? A shrug and a "oh signs are wrong" did not leave me feeling very happy. Especially when the quality and quantity seemed to have diminished, and for a fast food place, spending $30 for two quick meals is a bit much. Think it's time to move on from Moe's. read more

My burrito shell was terrible. One side was soft and the other was hard. I even had a hard time cutting the shell, in places, with a steak knife. Only reason I gave three stars was, because the rest of the burrito was good. I ended up removing the shell and throwing it out. This was the first time I've eaten at Moe's in over a year. We grabbed some food to-go here at this location the this past weekend. There was hardly anyone in there and the place smelled great. We were greeted and our orders were taken. I got the steak nachos and loaded them up while my wife got the chicken stacker [ its like a crunchwrap but loaded your way]. We got a side of queso cheese and a TON of chips on in a bag. The inside was clean and the trashbins weren't not piled with empties. We could of eaten inside but we had a place to be at later that day. read more

I used to actually like Moes better than chipotle however this has put a very nasty taste in my mouth. I took my husband and son for lunch thinking this will be great because Moes for the first time in my life didn't have a line. (I see why now) I walked in and started to order my food as I'm standing there I can't help but notice the monstrosity of a mess happening right where my food is being prepped. She already started making my food so I let her proceed, I will say she was a very sweet girl. I walk down the line (now ordering toppings) and I just can't get over the way she was throwing things in my bowl not even paying attention to food falling all in other toppings. Which is a hazard for people allergic to those things. As I'm paying for all of this I can't help but notice the putrid smell coming from the container that holds I guess drinks? Because there was water on the bottom with a smell like it had been sitting there. ALL of the grills were filthy. The soda machine was so nasty, looks like it's never been cleaned ever. There was not a single table without food all over it, no napkins at the tables. The trash was so overflowed it was falling out of the trash container. The catering bags were on the floor in the back and they WERE FILTHY mold everywhere. An employee was walking around having LOUD conversation on her phone and she was covered in animal hair....... IM ALLERGIC To the fur. Literally a nice lunch turned into a nightmare. I will never. EVER go back to Moes. Someone in corporate needs to pay a visit because it seems the store is being neglected. read more

This Moe's used to be an awesome place to come in for meal, but sadly over the last 3-4 years it's become a joke! Good help is truly hard to find. Three young ladies were manning the store, they were understaffed and lacking the skills needed to serve a number of customer, several people walked out why I was waiting on my order. No one said "welcome to Moe's!" when I walked in, and they were busy with online orders, as I waited patiently to be served. My wife had a home wrecker bowl and I had nachos, both lacked flavor and the queso was watered down and tasteless. I hadn't been to this Moe's in a year or so, and I'm sure it'll be another year or so before I go back and try them again. Don't waste your time or your money! read more

I first went to the Fleming Island location since I was already close to it. The place was VERY dirty and the one girl was rude. So I left and came to the Oakleaf location since it's by my house and it was on the way home. Everything seemed fine at first but, when it was time for us to order and I saw the food line. I didn't want anything after I saw how dry everything was but, my daughter insisted that she still wanted to try it so I let her order. While the girl was making the steak taco, the steak was so dry it was stuck and she was scraping it off the bottom of the pan. I can't believe she thought it was okay to serve that!! So, we got the chicken and a ground beef taco instead. Wanted to add beans but the beans were so dry. Seriously, a lot of their stuff looked old and dry like it had been sitting there all day. The food line with the toppings was very messy. Got the two tacos and headed to the salsa bar. At this point I really don't think anyone is keeping anything clean and wiped down in this place. It wasn't even busy so there's no excuse as to why no one is cleaning the mess. 2 bad experiences at 2 different locations in 1 day is enough for me to never come back. read more

I went to the Moe's in Argyle Forest today, ordered two chicken quesadillas. It was nothing but high schoolers working. One work didn't have a uniform, hat or gloves on fixing food, Very disturbing. I asked for the manager, she came up, I brought it to her attention, she asked if I wanted my food remade I said no I want that working from behind the line...she did nothing!! Once I got home with my food, it was gross...chicken was dry, chips were old and stale (as seen on the picture above). If I could give this place a ZERO star I would. Store is supposed to open at 10. I went at 10:20 in crutches with my broken foot. The door kinda open but was locked together. There were employees inside setting up. The manager came and told me despite what it says online they don't open until 11. Why lie? This location is usually decent but today when we walked in, it was the most horrible customer service the three of us have ever seen. No greeting at all, five people are just standing doing absolutely nothing, joking with each other, just not paying attention to customers. When they did make our orders, the girl doing the toppings was rude. What seemed to be the manager was sitting in the corner not doing anything. When we sat down, the food was good, no issues. However, the napkin container was completely empty so I switched it out with another table. Then when we went to the throw our trash away, the trash can was completely full and plates were piling on top of the can. This was my first visit to this location. They welcome you with a loud "Welcome to Moe's" . They were super busy! The food was yummy and fresh. I always get the Billy Barou nachos with steak, black beans, guac, tomato, lettuce, cheese (my fave food in the world) and sour cream. It's almost more food than I can handle. They also have Coke Freestyle which I am a huge fan of and would like to be rich so I can get one in my house.
