The nachos had no queso so I guess making soggy nachos without using queso is an accomplishment. No "Welcome to Moe's" when I arrived. No apology when I left. Took my kids here for dinner. We spent 60 dollars, which isn't typically an issue except for the staff being extremely impatient and the food being beyond bland. The rice was so mushy, and basically had no distinct shape lol, it was like mashed potatoes. And the steak that i paid extra for was dried out? like it was like it had been left out overnight and also it had zero flavor. I do wish their steak had a little more sear on the outside, but I do like having two different kinds of chicken to choose from. If you're a fan of made to order Tex-mex food in a welcoming environment at a fair price, try Moe's at Wards Corner in Norfolk, especially on Sunday when kids eat free (1 free kid option for every 1 regular entree purchased). Feeding 6 people for under $25 is winning!!! Parking spaces are narrow and can be scarce at times because of Harris Teeter, Subway and Starbucks. Approaching the entrance, you'll notice outdoor seating. Once inside, this location is fairly spacious compared to other Moe's we've visited. Moveable tables and chairs plus several booths offer great flexibility for small and large parties. 2 HDTVs make for great sports viewing. Moe's gives free chips with every purchase along with self-serve salsa, both with unlimited refills. Like most entry level food service jobs, employee turnover seems to be a challenge here. Aside from that, I've always received generous serving portions no matter who services my order. My older daughters and I prefer the burrito (Joey) with chicken, mine sans wrap. Wifey likes the carnitas and switches between the nachos or the earmuffs (salad bowl) while my older boys order kid burritos, one steak, one ground beef. We ALL LOVE the praise worthy Queso and other limitless toppings. At peak times, the dining area can be in need of cleaning and restocking. This spot also has the new'ish Coke variety soda dispenser with touch screen; while trendy and neat looking, it's annoying that drinks and ice can only be dispensed into 1 cup at a time. Lunchtime is busy, loud but full of energy from the Moe's team. "WELCOME TO MOE'S!" All hands were on deck on our visit. The team were in good spirits and there was a free cup of queso going - so naturally, it was a good day to have a good day for that reason alone. I ordered the Ear Muffs food bowl with chicken, which is such great value for the amount of food you get given. Always ask for a lid, I'd be impressed if you can eat all the chips and queso, plus the whole bowl (message me, you sound like my kind of friend!) This is genuinely the best Moe's I've ever eaten. I love Moe's, but this location is something special.

It's been quite a while since I visited Moe's (Pre-covid, to be honest). The quality of the food seems to have decreased, the friendliness of the employees is missing (no more "Welcome to Moe's!" upon entering), and the taste and texture of my burrito were ... sub par. Maybe the ingredients had been on the steam table too long, but it ended up the consistency of oatmeal, instead of rice, beans and chicken. I hope this was a one off bad day. read more

I usually go for a bowl served up with chicken, cilantro rice, pico de gallo, corn, black beans, lettuce, and 2 dollops of sour cream. Every time, the chicken is well seasoned, and like I said before the food is always fresh. One thing that really grinds my gears is being served not so fresh lettuce, and never have I ever experienced that with Moe's. Parking isn't so bad at this particular location. Most people are usually in and out of stores so there's always parking. Plus there's a huge parking lot shared with the other stores. The only problem I had was that because of the way the food is set up, all of the food gets cross-contaminated. One of my dining companions ordered the tofu but it had chunks of steak in it. Late post here, I did actually see that someone else posted a review for this last Sunday. (Leaving two stars because while the experience was bad, the girls making my food were obviously very stressed and trying very hard despite the chaos.)I've been to this Moe's location before and I love the food and the staff is friendly. My experience on Sunday night, however wasn't very good. They seemed very understaffed for a dinner rush and there was a very long line. To be fair, I was willing to wait in the long line for the food, and the food (when I got it) was pretty good. While in the store though, the grill caught on fire! It was a clamshell type grill and I watched, who I assume to have been the person in charge, put food on the grill and leave it for about 20 or more minutes! Two of the workers stood there not knowing what to do, luckily the one who was making my food ran and got the fire extinguisher so main crisis was averted. But, I feel that the person in charge was being negligent to even let it happen in the first place! Afterwards, service halted for a few minutes as one person was cleaning the grill and someone else was on the phone and then the other worker went to the back. But then, the woman on the register served the food that was on the other grill! I was shocked!! The other two girls working were working very hard to keep up with all the people in line and the doordash orders that they had and were very friendly despite the chaos while as I felt the woman on the register (who I think was in charge) wasn't. (But to be fair everything was chaotic.) I respect service workers and understand that they were understaffed during a dinner rush, but I feel that there should have been better management that night. I normally go to Moe's for lunch and the staff is great, maybe it's just the night shift that is chaotic, but I won't be going there for dinner anytime soon. read more

This place is ass. Waited over a hour to get our food. While we waited the grill caught on fire because the employees set to turtle mode had 0 sense of anything going on. They used a fire extinguisher on the grill then proceeded to serve the food that was sitting right next to the grill to customers. Went to the Moes located at 7550 Granby St norfolk va. I have never ever been treated so rudely by restaurant employees in my life. I walked up to the counter to place my order, and the black guy with the waxed eyebrows ear ring on his nose said WHAT. I thought he was talking to the female next to him but I now think he was talking to me. Then the female with red and blonde dreads was even more rude. She raised her voice at me then I guess 6 seconds was too long to place my order then she moved her neck banged her hand on the counter when she thought I wasn't looking so I walked out. Moe's is one of the few fast food restaurants I am willing to eat on a regular basis. This place is no exception. The staff on the food line are always friendly. The restaurant is clean. This restaurant gets SUPER busy around lunch time during the week due to the nearby military base, so avoid that time of day if you are REALLY hungry. Otherwise they make my food accurately. My office did a large order once and the online ordering didn't go through after spending 30 minutes spent entering everyone's choices. I got on the phone with the manager who was great and was very patient as I went through a dozen orders/customizations. Would recommend if you are looking for some fresh-mex on the go! read more

I'm here usually once a week on Mondays but have since switched to Sundays bc Paul, Tae, Dee, and Mike always go above and beyond for their customers. All my Polar Bear friends rave about this place and how they love their uncooked, raw meat.
