Philadelphia roll

Decided to give this place another try. On a Friday night for happy hour we were seated right away outside. The service here has improved a lot since my last visit. Our server grace was very attentive and nice. The coconut shrimp were delicious! We also got the senna roll, Las Vegas rol and a spicy yellowtail roll. All tasted fresh and a good price on happy hour. However I am confused to how 3 happy hour rolls, sodas and an appetizer came out to $76. I should've checked the receipt before leaving but was with a large party. I would give this place another shot but will definitely take an itemized receipt with me.

I had a great experience. I went late one Saturday night. The staff was very lively. The meal did take a while to get to my table. I actually think they forgot about us. Because the waiter came and asked, if I ever get my rolt? And I said, no, and she apologized profusely, and within 7 minutes or so I was eating. There is outside patio, which is very nice in November. There is accessible parking near the front and accessible entrance.

Is this a joke ?

Positive : Moira was opened and we were seated outside on a lovely evening. The rest.... We had the poke nachos, senna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and Kara (chicken bites). We ordered the gold rush cocktail, but they were out of Lavendar so it was a no go. Instead, we just ordered two Tito's and soda. She asked if we wanted any garnishments and I said , "sure....lime.". She said they didn't have lime and asked if a lemon would be OK. We both agreed it was fine. No biggie. It would have been nice to disclose that the 2 tiny slices of lemon would cost us two dollars! Who charges for this on a cocktail as an up charged ? Ridiculous! Nachos were more like won tons on top of some diced tuna and avocado in a deep bowl. Odd to eat - tasted fine. It was just disjointed and weird. Sushi : no no no NO flavor, no tuna, no shrimp, nothing! It was all blah, mushy rice. I'd prefer my local grocery store sushi over this. So disappointing! The Kara was fine, but the description said it came with seaweed. When I inquired with our server after the fish arrived, she said there was seaweed "in the batter" and we would "taste the seaweed flavor there.". Still waiting It was prepared in a blonde batter with no flavor of nori, no green, no umami, no sign of it. Sorry - a huge miss there. It was served in a bowl over some raw cabbage. The atmosphere was not appealing but not off putting aesthetically. We were just happy to sit outside and grab a bite, even if the bit wasn't great. Paying $2.00 for two slices of lemon earned the 1 star, in tandem with the food that just didn't meet the mark. Sorry, Moira. It's a hard no for us.

don't get the karaage it's bad ... looks like popcorn chicken. and they serve it with honey mustard?? drinks are good though. happy hour has good prices.

This place is a downtown gem. They have a really great happy hour and it's reverse on the weekends. They have a better cocktail list than a lot of nearby sushi places. They even allow dogs on the patio which I really appreciate! I like to sit at the bar and watch the chefs make sushi and food since it's an open kitchen.

Came across Moira Sushi Bar & Kitchen while strolling the downtown area and gave it a go. It was busy inside but I was able to get a seat at the bar top. The staff was all great and friendly. Had a few role and it was ok. My favorite was the coconut shrimp with their spicy mayo on top. Those are a must try if you give Moira a go.

mehhhhh... super expensive for what we got honestly. love that this spot is open late but $20 for this roll and $16 for what's basically a large green tea shot was definitely a lot. but the sushi tasted alright and the drink was pretty good! my friends got appetizers but couldnt justify the drink prices for a cocktail. definitely conveniently located for a late night sushi dinner, but not worth the price. good service i would say! and we were seated relatively quickly for a first friday night. good ambiance and strong AC.

Everything. Service was superb. And loved the rolls. Lobster and something and crab something. Highly recommend it

The atmosphere at Moira is very artsy cool. The mural on the wall really sets the mood, as do the red lights. We sat on the patio which was a little quieter. We ordered a few different things, but I especially liked the crispy rice and the ahi poke nachos. Both were absolutely delicious! Cocktails were delicious, too. This is a great place of your looking to eat a little late. They are opened until 2 am on weekends.

No…read morereservations available, I did check their website where you can be adding to a waitlist, but it stated currently no waitlist and invited us to just arrive at restaurant. We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!

The service was lovely, the atmosphere felt intimate and genuine, and the food...My god the food! I have to recommend their creamy miso, the pork was cooked to perfection! If you do end up going, there is one thing on the menu you absolutely must try: The matcha tiramisu!! I am speechless to how good this is, its not super tiramisu-esq in flavor, yet their own rendition is impeccable, flavor and texture alike! I hope you guys try this little local shop, and I hope they have a fruitful future. Thanks again to the owners for a wonderful dinner :)

There's plenty of seating available, including a long communal table. We chose a table near the entrance a friendly server came by shortly after. I ordered the creamy veggie ramen ($14.25) which comes with sesame paste, vegetable, green onion, and corn. I added a soft boiled egg for $2. The ramen was tasty and definitely on the creamy side. I enjoyed the flavor. I appreciate that they have a vegetarian option, I just wish the veggie came with tofu. Even though there's an option to add an egg, it's just not enough protein for me. My friend ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it. When we saw homemade matcha tiramisu, we couldn't resist, so my friend and I shared an order. It was light and delicious and the matcha flavor was subtle. Highly recommend. We had a great experience and would recommend Ramen Kagawa to others.

The miso soup, however, was noticeably salty (something another reviewer mentioned as well, so it's not just me). This is a counter-service spot: you order at the front, and they bring the food to your table. The staff were friendly and doing their best despite being short-handed (only three people working during my visit). The place has an open layout, which makes cleanliness and organization very visible--unfortunately, things felt a bit disorganized at times. Tables were sticky when I arrived (though staff eventually wiped them down after I'd finished eating), and there was an odd, unpleasant odor coming from the floor drain near the soda machine. That said, the sushi quality was solid enough that I'd definitely return for the food. With a little attention to upkeep and organization, this spot could easily become a go-to for quick, tasty sushi. (Overall impression: Worth it for the sushi alone, but the ambiance and minor issues hold it back slightly.)

I would have loved to go back to try more food there honestly if the prices were what they had been in the online photos I'd found. I tried the bulgogi ramen which was just more or less just not what I expected because the meat was very thickly cut and much more salty than traditional korean bulgogi - otherwise I would've loved this ramen. No shortage of service out there either.
