Moke's just isn't what it used to be. Maybe the old employees don't work there anymore, or I just haven't gone on the days they're there, but both coffee and food used to be much better. My vanilla latte was just okay, and came in the wrong size. I added more sugar when I got home. I went home because I also ordered an Obi Wan sandwich, which used to be fantastic, but today I was handed the sandwich with untoasted bread and unmelted cheese. I grilled it myself since a bit of a rush had built up, and I felt bad asking. This is the second time I've gone in a few months, and I used to be a more regular customer. I don't really see myself coming back. There is definitely better food and coffee in the area! read more

It was one of those Sunday hangover days where you need a solid breakfast to recover and recharge. We couldn't stand the wait for Brail's so what to do? A quick Yelp search identified Moke's and it hit the spot. We all ordered omelets and without exception they were very good. The mocha I ordered was also very tasty and well-prepared. They lose a star because they only offered waffles (good but no pancakes?) and there were no pastries available. Service was friendly and food came out fast. And there was no wait for a table! Definitely a good alternative to more popular breakfast spots. read more

I really wanted to love this place. The food was great and the staff was super nice/hard working. My gripe is not with that but the actual business - obviously super understaffed to no fault of the workers and wait times for food on Mother's Day were abysmal (30 minutes for tacos!!!) This is a fine place to pick up a quick latte on your way to work, but not the place to sit down with a laptop or book, or even a friend. No public restroom, no public WiFi, and the high volume of their music makes it difficult to focus or have a conversation. They might as well just be a drive-thru. read more

The price of tacos used to be 2 for like 8 bucks and now it's one taco for eight dollar. They've switched to home fries instead of hash browns. It was a decent taste but it had about half an egg and like a couple pieces of potato. After a twenty minute wait for a couple of very simple tacos and listening to the kids behind the counter complaining about having to work the food was way over priced and underwhelming. Disappointed this place used to be bomb now it sucks. read more

OMG this place is the cutest. The outdoor seating is also comfy and very earthy. The food is delicious!! I recommend the tacos and their coffee is also perfect. Great for getting breakfast before class and if you crave time to just relax and talk with friends. They don't have wifi available so you might not want to bring a laptop unless you use your hotspot. read more

We were there on leisurely Saturday morning. As we were the only ones who chose to sit inside to dine, I began to look around. Every houseplant in there was in such drastic need of water, I had to restrain myself from watering them. Eventually, it felt like having breakfast on the set of a houseplant snuff film. If the proprietors are reading this, here is what you do: Tuesdays, is plant watering day. Put it on a to do list and mark it off. I would also consider adding some muffins to the menu. Went there today and had a horrible experience where a stranger harassed me for the better part of an hour. This was not the fault of anyone at Moke's and they couldn't have possibly known it was happening. But the sandwich I had was rather good, which is saying something, because it's hard to feel like you have an appetite while being menaced by some random guy. Delicious sandwich.
