I've walked by Momen Tea several times and always assumed it was just a bubble tea shop before seeing their Poke bowl come up on MealPal. I ordered the tofu shiitake poke bowl and it was HUGE. A very hefty portion filled to the brim with rice and super fresh toppings. I really liked it, everything was flavorful and even the avocado was ripe (which can be rare). Only part I didn't love was the tofu. It was a little soggy and cold, with a sort of weird un-tofu like taste. Would recommend for a grab and go lunch! Not must seating inside, but no line at prime lunch time on a Wednesday. Service was fast and the man checking me out was courteous and helpful.

Momentea Kitchen has been open since 2018, and I'm so happy to have them for all my teenagers. I'm also very glad they were able to reopen after the old building collapse. They've now moved to 206 W 14th St, and we're excited to keep supporting them!

I've been eating at MomenTea since 2018 at their first location, right by the subway corner. I've always loved their food and friendly service. I'm so happy and proud to see them reopen after the old building collapsed. I will continue to support them forever!

TLDR - this place is great for the area which is lacking asian fare, and is ambitious with its large menu of authentic asian items, but you can probably find better versions of each of their items elsewhere. If you work in the area this is a great spot to check out. YUZU CITRUS SALMON POKE BOWL Not bad - I'm not sure they use sushi rice for this but it was nice, citrusy, sweet from the mango and the fish quality they use isn't bad at all. Pretty good flavors for a quick poke but nothing super authentic or dedicated to poke. GALAXY YOGURT DRINK This I actually really liked, their bubble tea is pretty on par for other bubble tea spots and they have cool interesting flavor combos so take advantage of that. The butterfly pea was nice and subtle and the yakult was that nice sweet tangy flavor that you know and love. TAIWANESE FRIED CHICKEN - a little dry, not super basily tasting and kinda small pieces (frittery) but enjoyable. Comes with spicy mayo. CHILI OIL WONTONS They do kind of a solid job with this, nicely decorated, the heat doesn't pack too big of a punch (get extra if you need) and it's definitely from a bag of frozen wontons but it comes out kind tasty especially with the chili oil and the filling amount isn't bad. Black sesame seeds on top are a nice touch. I'm really glad this area is providing a much needed asian food presence in Greenwich Village.

Came here for late night boba, and it didn't disappoint! The boba balls weren't the chewiest, but the drinks were very yummy. You can order ahead using the kiosk, and the drinks came out quickly. They also have many other options like poke bowls! Overall, pretty good boba and a cute restaurant with plenty of indoor seating!

Visiting from California. Came here cuz it was recommended on Yelp. Ordered large Thai tea for $7 and there was barely any drink in there. I couldn't even punch my straw in because there was so much ice from top to bottom. I went back to complain but they said to ask for less ice next time and wouldn't make me a new one. The thing is I never asked for large ice cubes and how was I suppose to know they were going to do this to me. The amount of drink in there was not even a large or regular. Probably not even a small either. Other than that the drink tasted good. So one extra star for that.

This is definitely my daily restaurant. Great value and friendly staff. The sushi is always fresh made. I came frequently in summer for bobas too

Love the cute concept that MomenTea is going for here! Nestled right by the 14th street 1 train subway entrance, Momentea serves both boba, sushi, sushiritto, poke bowls, and a ton of different fruity flavored drinks. Was thinking for a casual spot for date night, and boy Momentea was right smack on my radar. Came here at 630pm on a Thursday night, restaurant wasn't too packed and we had prior reservations for the night. We ordered the following: Hawaiian special, moment special, a large matcha latte cheese foam, and I got the galaxy yogurt drink. AMBIANCE: As I mentioned previously, Momentea is a casual shop that happens to sell an assortment of fruity drinks, boba, and pokes. Store front isn't too big, but there are a few tables for one to sit down and eat. PROS: Love how fresh the food came out! For the moment special, I got mine on a bed of salad - salad was fresh, zesty, tangy, and the toppings that go on top really compliment the overall texture of the bowl. I really liked the spicy mayo that it came with, and the house vinegarette and soy sauce pairs really well with the fish in the bowl. She enjoyed her Hawaiian special and complimented how refreshing it is to eat. The drinks were spectacularly made. The matcha cheese foam tea was fantastic. Matcha flavor wasn't too overpowering, the milk and foam wasn't too chalky. I do wish though next time they don't mix in the foam, since some people would prefer drinking the tea and the cheese foam separately, but that's just a minor issue. The galaxy yogurt drink I got was spectacular as well! I loved how it sat on a bed of mango jelly, and the colors really give off a warm and welcoming vibe. You can also do full customization of the drinks in terms of sugar and sweetness level, as expected for any major boba player here. Last but not least the owner Katrina swung by and introduced the concept of the restaurant to us. She's such a sweet person, and shout outs to you for making our experience last night incredible! Looking forward to great things with your new restaurant businesses! OVERALL: Loved the concept, food, and drinks at Momentea. Its a pity that we didn't get to try everything else on the menu, but hey that's what a visit in the future is necessary for!

Let me tell you all about a place that's FRIENDLY So much so that if I was on facebook they'd FRIEND ME If I got attacked on Yelp Talk they'd DEFEND ME That's why I love getting Boba at MOMENTEA Before I tried boba here my life felt EMPTY So did my tummy even though I'd eaten PLENTY Hated Starbucks, even their Mocha Frappe VENTI But then my life changed when I came and tried MOMENTEA Got a job as a guard, official title SENTRY Rubbed shoulders with the rich, Baronesses and the GENTRY Stopped letting men do me for $ ("my butt's NO ENTRY!") All of this because I got Boba at MOMENTEA Now I'm gonna open all the fan mail that you SENT ME And throw out all the hate mail from the haters who RESENT ME Ignore all the gross requests from men who used to RENT ME Instead I will go and get more boba from MOMENTEA WHAT My notes said: Momentea.. Boo fruit, yay milk yum changed 50, very friendly both times, poke and honey lemon black next time. I'm as in the dark as you are about these notes, but I think it meant I hated the fruit green tea they persuaded me to get (but I hate most green teas), but loved the milk tea and that they changed a $50 for me and were very friendly. They sell Poke, which I haven't tried, and I did go back twice after this and got more great milk teas and amazing Lemon Black tea. Definitely one of my favourite bubble tea shops in New York City and I can't wait to come back to try some other fruity black teas. The first time they insisted that I try their fresh fruit drink and it's made with green tea and I didn't like it at all. Luckily I gave them another chance and I picked what I actually wanted which was to try their regular black milk tea which is absolutely spectacular and creamy and perfect and up there with the best boba in town such as Yi Fang, Moge, Mi Tea and Boba Guys. So I will definitely be back and I'm looking forward to it. A special mention to them because they are so incredibly friendly and they also changed a $50 bill for me which most people in lower Manhattan will absolutely not do. Parking is a nightmare here but I love it and will be bringing Barbie here at her earliest convenience. And she is pretty convenient in terms of, she's a nympho and I'm, well, you know. And my cats love it here too. Oh wait that's Meowmentea.

Although this place has Tea in the name and has a lot of great drinks, it's probably also the best Poke place in the neighborhood. They're very generous with the poke, the fish tastes fresh, and the prices are reasonable. There's not much seating, but if you don't mind eating outside, you can walk two short blocks down to the park at 12 St. and 7th Ave. or one short block down and one long block west to Jackson Square.

Drink: 5/5 I would highly recommend the boba / tea beverages here if you are just stopping by!! I got the matcha with red bean and it's perfect if you don't like your drink too sweet. The menu just has so many interesting East Asian beverage inspired drinks so it really feels unique from another bubble tea place. I really want to try the yacult drinks next time I visit and there will definitely be a next time! Food: 4/5 I am a big fan of poke and it's always my go to food to eat when it's warmer out. The Hawaiian poke bowl had a great mix of tropical fruit and poke. The fish and fruit were both fresh. I give it a 4/5 because while it was a very solid poke, nothing particularly stood out or made me go wow. That being said, this is a perfect lunch or dinner for days you want to be health conscious and still have something yummy! read more

In a nutshell: Really thought I would love this place, but I am very bummed I did not. I came in earlier this morning to grab what I thought would be a delicious bubble tea. I ordered the matcha cheese foam tea and I could not have been more disappointed...so much so that I came back and asked for a whole new drink. The matcha looked practically brown, it tasted gritty and bitter and barely any flavor of matcha itself. Also, IT WAS OVER $6 for a medium. After one sip, I just had to come back and get something else...so I exchanged it for a black cheese foam tea. It was actually almost worse than the matcha believe it or not. So watered down it just tasted like ice water with cheese foam and a liiiitle bit of boba. Gross. I will not be wasting another $6 on an extremely disappointing tea here; however, I will stop in and give their Poke a try. We'll see if that is worth a better rating than 2/5 stars. read more

First time here and I came in because I saw on their sign that they sold boba, smoothies, poke bowls, sushi, and ramen. What? It's like they looked at all the current food trends and decided to just sell all of them. Anyway, I was here for boba since I already had dinner. Went with the grapefruit green tea, half sweet, with boba. Tasted pretty good. It wasn't too sweet and the taste of the tea came through even with all the grapefruit that was there. It looks like they use some pulpy grapefruit juice to mix into the tea. The grapefruit slices that came with my drink were a nice touch. The boba was nicely cooked. I'm not quite sure I'd get ramen from here. I'm not even sure I'd get poke bowls from here. But their boba is decent. read more

Tuna Burrito: This was your classic spicy tuna / California roll in burrito form. The tuna, cucumber, and avocado went perfectly and the spicy miso was the perfect sauce. I've come here a few times to try the bubble tea. I really enjoy their lavender milk tea but for some reason, when I tried the rose milk tea, it was a little diluted in terms of the flavor profile. I think another issue for me is the boba needed to be more sweet somehow. There was a flavor lacking in the boba... like maybe it should be infused with honey or brown sugar to give it that vibe that boba typically has. I think I would recommend the milk tea if someone preferred their bubble tea to be less sweet. read more

This morning I was craving for pho but I was running out of time so I came to momen tea. Unfortunately it wasn't the greatest experience with them and will not return because all the drinks I have ordered was not that great along with poke bowl. The drink area there's two workers but actually only one is working and the other one no idea what was he doing. The girl was busy running around to make the drinks but the guy was just standing and smiling. When it got busier he started to help out. I dont know how this place has really good reviews but "Everyone please dont trust the reviews because I regret it a lot today for making my trip to there. I ordered two super fruit oolong tea, cheese dragonfruit tea, mango yakult, passionfruit party. The drinks I had today was cheese dragonfruit tea with rainbow jelly. All the drinks I had ordered was terrible. Some of the drinks were watered down and no flavour to it. I prefer just go to mogee tea instead. Their drinks are freshly made unlike this one use powder and syrup to their drinks. There poke bowl station there is two guys working there. One of them has a smile but the other one was giving angry faces which really was turn off. And their dessert on the menu I highly dont recommend. It's not worth that price & just too sweet. Their spicy tuna bowl comes with chunk of tuna and poured spicy mayo on top. Other places their spicy tuna are chopped up and looks delicious but my friend who at the spicy tuna bowl had said to me it should be better than this. Overall it wasn't the best experience I had with them. read more

Review is for tea only. I love that there's a great new place for teas and green juices in the Chelsea area. It was definitely in need! I ordered a grapefruit green tea and a peach green tea. Both of them were to die for, but I'd highly recommend the grapefruit green tea. Though one drink will run you ~$5, it's a decent portion and really refreshing. I personally would have liked my tea just a bit more tart, but I think most will like it as it comes. I'll definitely be back to try more teas, poke, and a green smoothie. read more

~ drink review ~ I was super skeptical about cheese foam, i haven't had it any other place so I don't have anything to compare this to. But based on reviews, i decided to get the cheese foam strawberry green tea and it was surprisingly good! there wasn't much in terms of service, the cashier didn't say much but drinks came out fairly quick. love the tall skinny cups, but the cheese strawberry green tea (and mango/matcha) only come in L sizes. same with all the fruit teas and they are a bit pricey ~$5-6 read more

I've had a poke bowl here, and it was decent if morning too special. I recently had an almond strawberry smoothie as well; I thought it was a bit milky but otherwise good. Nice that there is a Yelp discount on drinks and service is friendly. 3.5 stars. read more

Cute place. Just didn't enjoy the food. Haven't tried the drinks yet so this is a review solely based on my poke experience I ordered a spicy salmon poke and given that I've had plenty of poke before, I expected the usual spicy salmon sauce. The one they had was a vibrant, almost pepto bismol like pink that covered the fish. The flavor was not appetizing and the color especially threw me off. The rest of the bowl was standard, seaweed salad, some corn and other toppings. I may come back to try the other fish and drinks but beware of the spicy salmon. read more

Delicious bubble tea drinks! Came in on a weekday night hoping to get my tea time on after hours... Momentea is open late and near the 1/2/3 trains. Very convenient! I came in and was greeted immediately. They have a lot of different selections of teas, although my favorite combination isn't one of them. Instead I ordered the lavender milk tea which was interesting flavor-wise. It, at first, did not particularly hit my palette, but I love trying more out-of-the-ordinary flavors. After several sips more, I actually remember and crave the lavender tea. It's worth the $4. Luckily the milk teas can be made into either medium or large sizes. Regular green/black tea flavors are only made in a size large cup which I'm not exactly sure why. There are different flavors to try out and I'm sure they all taste delicious. I love the cups. On the right side of the store is their juice and food area which serves healthy greens. There are several seating tables in Momentea to chill and relax. Accepts card. No bathroom!!! ;( Preferably, a to-go spot. Open late night. Bon appetit! read more

Solely got a HK Milk Tea with Black Boba (30%, less as usual) as I had eaten dinner. The tea flavor was strong. The black boba was unique. It was lightly sweet and it almost reminded me of coffee candies. Prices are too high for 5 but the bubble tea was solid. 4.1 read more

If I could I would give this place a ZERO star. First of all, this is my favorite poke place in the Chelsea area. I would recommend my friends and families to come by grab some thing to eat. Second, this is why I would give a zero star to this place now. Preparing the ready-to-eat food with no gloves on. Can not believe that! No wonder how their healthy score from score A to score B now. I don't know if his hand is clean or did he wash the hand before start to mix the crab salad. But this is disgusting and how ruin is to their customers. read more

Staff is a bit quirky. The boba Is top notch, not overly soggy, perfectly sweet and toothy. I really liked the Taiwanese dessert bowl, they didn't have all the ingredients but I got it with glutinous rice balls which I thought we're going to be white but they were actually orange but had a neutral taste with the chew of that like boba and the mango juice it was in was perfect sweet. The noodles were tasty but the use of plastic bowls to contain hot soup is just downright dangerous to one's health. Everyone knows plastics release cancerous elements when exposed to high heat. Also, the scallion pancakes were so thin and oily. It's like eating hardened oil. The lady who made the tea doesn't exercise cleanliness. They toss blenders, mixers in a sink and do not bother washing them properly before/after each use. The lady was lazy and couldn't even finish the job of blending the ice cubes to a complete finish. They wash their hands on the sink where they toss the blenders and mixers, and then they use these to create the next order. I pointed this out to the lady and asked if she washed it and she outright lied and said yes. I want so much to give this place a good rating but the staff and personnel esp the ladies are just unclean in their ways. read more

Picked my MealPal here today! This place is clean, modern and cozy. Plus they have an open kitchen! I love my beef noodle soup, especially in this winter season. Solid four stars! I almost always crave boba after having sushi, so it's awesome that you can get both here. After reading the reviews, I'm a little disappointed I didn't try the poke and instead went for a hand roll (wasn't super hungry). While the spicy shrimp hand roll was delicious, it was pretty small, and for double the price, you probably could've gotten quadruple or quintuple the amount of food. Again, not super hungry, so not bad for a light dinner. The four stars comes from the decent food and the delicious pearls. Every boba review I write I say I'm a boba fanatic, and one of the first ways I judge a boba place by how good their pearls are. Momentea has slightly sweet and chewy pearls, and while they aren't the best I've had in New York, I can't find any real fault with them. Plus, they have a wide and solid array of choices, and even have some dessert options (so you could get a three course meal here :p) Definitely would stop by here again - maybe for a poke bowl next time! read more

I order delivery from here almost every week! I've tried the jasmine, rose, and lavender milk teas, grapefruit green tea, strawberry cheese green tea, and the galaxy drink. The drinks are all high quality. The boba is just OK but not bad although usually I go for grass jelly. Poke bowls are great for the price and sushi is also decent. Not super fancy but the fish is fresh. I'm interested in trying their ramen next time. Main criticisms are sometimes slow service the couple times I've ordered in the store and boba could be more flavorful. Overall this place is a step above the common chains like vivi's/kung fu tea/coco in terms of quality. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood. read more

stopped by on a weekday morning for a quick bakery treat. i decided to try the chocolate croissant…read more& there was only one left in the case. the croissant had a wonderful flaky, crispy texture that paired really well with the warm dark chocolate inside. compared to other chocolate croissants i've had, this one probably had a little less chocolate filling, but the taste was still great. the contrast between the flaky layers and the soft, warm center was superb. the staff was kind, and it took about 10 minutes to get my croissant warmed up. i would say it may take a little more time than expected to get your food, especially if you're in a rush like i was. otherwise, the space is really nice. they don't have many prepared grab-and-go items, but they do have a good selection of baked goods and the option to sit down and eat. i also noticed later that they had some lunch meals available to go, which is something i'd definitely look into trying next time.

I ordered Salmon hand roll which comes WITH avocado or cucumber originally but the cashier never asked me so I ate it not knowing and later on I found out the fact, then I asked her why's that and she just said if customers don't say anything it's served without anything. Wah??? then why did you guys put with options? no asking things to customers? Seems so shady!I don't get it. She didn't even say sorry or explain enough. I felt bad even though this is not a big of deal it's just their attitude and about work-ethic. It's a small thing but such neglectful! Won't go back there. I absolutely love MomenTea! It's conveniently located right out of 14th st subway station. The moment I walked in, I felt fresh and relax. Great environment and great service. And they got great selection of drinks (bubble tea, smoothies, fruit tea, etc), Poke, rolls, and even Hong Kong Style desserts! I tried their poke today and it's soooooo good! The salmon tastes so fresh. The whole bowl is super well-balanced. I will definitely come back for more! Highly recommended! read more

Some quality teas! You're really able to customize *everything* here: the amount of sugar, ice, toppings...and they have some pretty funky ones: foam caps, pudding, herbal jelly, ai-yu jelly, combining toppings. And their regular tea is just so good, never more than 4 hours old. Other notes: this is a cozy shop and able to hang out with your family and friends. read more
