My son spotted this place a couple weeks ago when we went to St. Charles mall. So I decided we would try it out when we were leaving the mall around lunchtime recently. I'm not huge on Mediterranean food but there is certain things that I do love, however for my son this is all the things he likes lol. This is like a Chipotle, Kava style restaurant, order your meal and then go down the line with the things you want added. Not sure how long they have been open but most of the people who came in while we were there were first timers also. I ordered the Shawarma, which on the menu says beef and lamb but the guy at the register said they only had chicken. You can either get light meat with veggies, dark with veggies, or Just the meat ( can't remember if he said light or dark). It comes either like wrap/ sandwich or a platter. I ordered the platter only the chicken, with rice, tomato cucumber salad and a yogurt cucumber dressing, I also tried the least spicy of the hot sauces which was jalapeño. It was good, my only issue was that is it wasn't very hot. I assume from the cold toppings but not a huge issue. It was filling. My son ordered from the "kabob fare" section and tried lamb. He got rice, curry chickpeas, tomato cucumber salad and the yogurt dressing. The man making the plates told me this was a good order and something he'd order every time. He loved it, says the lamb was a little spicy. My daughter, who eats nothing, had the chicken tenders and fries. They didn't seem to be breaded tenders and both the fries and tenders were "spicy" to her. She's 4 btw lol. Also tried the baklava, which were like little rolls, I personally didn't like them, they weren't bad just not great . Oh the menu says the some items are served with pita but if you don't ask you may not receive it. The gentleman at the register let me know that they used to give it but now you have to ask for it, perhaps people were wasting it. ‍ Overall it was good, I would come back. read more

Absolutely delicious! The food is fresh and beautifully flavored. We ordered two Shawarma platters with chicken, rice, veggies, chickpeas, fresh parsley, yogurt dressing, tahini sauce and the hottest chili oil. We also ordered two servings of Falafel balls and Baklava for dessert. The service was great, the people working there were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a clean and tidy atmosphere. This new eatery is off to a great start. Although they are a bit slow, the restaurant is very clean and everything looks super fresh. The people are very kind and courteous. The food is delicious. I wanted the beef/lamb shawarma, but unfortunately, they were out of it. Regardless of the type of meat ordered, I'd ask for the meat on the side the next time bc the cold salads cool off the meat. I think the portion size is fair value for the price. The falafel is super fresh, hot, and crispy on the outside--just as it should be. The flavor is pretty authentic and the ingredients are fresh, appealing and tasty. I will definitely come to Momi's again and highly recommend it to others. Meats are tasty, marinated, and tender. Different deal than what we're accustomed to with sides. You get a choice of up to 5 sides that are pretty much all good. One unusual thing is that the hummus side is thinner in texture, and is poured over the meat. More like tahini, but tahini is a separate side. Restrooms are clean. I've been here 4 times and can confidently say the food and customer service is top notch. Some items (kabobs) are cooked to order so be prepared to wait a bit. However, you'll be satisfied once your order is ready. The chicken kabobs in particular were amazing. I've had kabobs from other places, but none come close to Momi's. Tender, flavorful, and juicy are some things that come to mind to describe the kabobs, truly unbelievable work. The sides and toppings were all fresh and flavorful. I've also had the shawarma and that was great. My younger son loves the chicken tenders and fries (I know..smh) however, I will admit these fries and tenders had a great seasoning and a great unique taste. Lastly, the customer service is always great they explain the menu and the various options. When we first walked in I could tell that the restaurant was on the newer side and that employees cared a lot for their restaurant. When we came up to the register, the gentleman offered to answer any questions that we might have with ordering if needed. The employee that made my food, he was very very kind. He really went into depth about what certain dishes/toppings were. Even the man at the register was really kind, they were also big advocates of their restaurant asking us to stay and eat there which was pretty cool to see. They even gave us complementary falafels which were wonderful. I got the beef kurta kabob, and honestly, I couldn't tell you what half of what I got was called but it was all delicious! My family also said that their dishes were good as well. I would definitely definitely recommend that you go and support their restaurant!
