We gave Mon Chéri a second chance for my daughter's 11th birthday. That was huge a mistake. We came last February for her golden 10th birthday and had a terrible experience. After leaving a review, someone messaged saying an owner would call. No one ever did. Despite that, my daughter wanted to try again this year because she loves the pink, floral aesthetic. We truly wanted this place to redeem itself. We made a 6:30pm patio reservation for four. When we arrived, there were only a few tables inside. The bartender never acknowledged us. We stood at the front for about 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. The patio we were seated on was completely empty. After being seated it took another 10 minutes to be greeted and another 10 minutes for Shirley Temples which were flat, like the CO was out. We politely asked if the CO could be changed and were told by the server she wasn't sure if anyone would be able to do that. The kids switched to water. Our cocktails arrived about 20 minutes after being seated. The Shirley Temples didn't have the advertised glitter dust. The cosmopolitan tasted like fruit punch instead of cranberry. The espresso martini tasted like old coffee. We didn't complain. The pink hummus tasted like refried beans. Again, we let it go. After another long wait, our food arrived. The pesto pasta had barely any pesto. The "Girl Dinner" salad was brown, wilted romaine with minimal dressing, a few cubes of chicken and what looked like a black plastic bread tie mixed into it. That's when we finally said something. The person who came out identified herself as the owner. Instead of apologizing for a foreign object in our food, she became defensive and condescending. She asked if we knew what it was like to run a kitchen and suggested we come see hers. When I explained we were returning customers who had a bad experience last year but wanted to give the restaurant another chance for my daughter's birthday, she continued deflecting and talking about how she's from a women's village in Turkey. When I calmly asked for the salad to be removed and requested the birthday dessert with a candle so we could end the evening, she continued arguing. When I mentioned the bread tie in the salad, her response was essentially that "things happen." A contaminated salad is not "just something that happens." A defensive owner arguing with guests in front of their children is also not something that just happens. My children were visibly uncomfortable. We got up and left. And to add for a place that markets itself as aesthetic and upscale, the floors looked filthy. Sticky, visibly dirty, and not something you expect when you're paying those prices. This restaurant is aesthetically cute. That's it. Beyond the décor: flat drinks, poorly executed food, inattentive service despite low volume, visible cleanliness issues, and ownership that refuses accountability. Two birthdays. Two chances. Zero reason to ever return.
Three of us girls had a Friday off together, and that means brunch is in order! Like everyone else, we've all seen the Instagram posts about this trendy spot and decided it was time to try it. To be honest, I was hesitant and had low expectations. Most of the "trendy" places are good for Instagram photos but not for food. We were pleasantly surprised! We're girls, so we ordered a bunch and shared it. Starting with the Baklava latte...wow. It was dessert in a glass...delicious. next to we ordered all five of the "cherable toasts." Each one was better than the last! We did not expect the lobster on avocado to be so fresh...mouthwatering. We also had to try the pasta, as that is one of their specialty. I don't know about you, but Beetroot Alfredo does not sound exciting... and yet it was, especially with the juicy, perfectly seasoned, grilled chicken on top. The loaded turkish fries were the least exciting, probably because we were full, but still very tasty. The restaurant was cute, and the cool glassware was even cuter. Our server was friendly and attentive. The three of us walked out full, extremely happy, and talking about who else we need to bring to try these wonderful flavors.
The restaurant is beautiful and spacious - it's very rosy and apt for hosting a bachelorette dinner. I ordered the strawberry salad and green pasta - it was filling and tasty but nothing extraordinary. We also ordered the shakshuka and I liked it more than any other dish - the beans and pepper were very well balanced and we wanted to reorder it but they ran out of stock.
My girlfriends and I came here for dinner tonight and all I can say is yikes. I wish I had more nice things to say, as I hate to leave a bad review, but hopefully this is useful feedback. First of all, this place is aesthetic. That's what you'd come for. We took amazing pictures and luckily got seated in the back rose room which was beautiful. The interior is stunning. They have gender neutral bathrooms with sinks in each bathroom so that was unique. When we got there, the server let us know they were out of seafood, which was fine since none of us wanted to order it but weird considering it was 6:45. Now, I can't talk about other items on the menu but let me go off about these $10 truffle fries. They come with pink ranch: the ranch isn't great, but I'm also a ranch girly. I think it has beetroot in it since that's what was listed for the pink pasta (assuming what makes it pink) and maybe that's why I didn't like it? I'm not sure. The fries alone were great HOWEVER the fact we got there at 6:45 and didn't get our fries until 7:45, NOT GREAT. One girl ordered steak and that came out a while before our fries did which was weird. We all ordered a drink: coke, mocktail, or cocktail. The pink drink cocktail was tasty but I wouldn't pay $20 to have it again. Our host was the highlight of the night: total guy that was for the girls, offering to take our pictures and everything. The server didn't let us know once what was going on or why it took so long. The lady he had helping him brought out our food and dipping sauce when I asked for the alternative sauce for the table as most of us did not like the ranch. He also never acknowledged how long we waited or anything, so I'm assuming this is normal service. I really wish I could say better things, but hopefully this is taken as useful feedback to improve the service or be more communicative with guests if service is going to take long. I only recommend this place if you're visiting purely for the photo opp AND have plenty of time to spare.
So so cute! Obviously has great hair photo ops. Stopped here for a small bite to eat and a cute drink for a bachelorette party. They offered the bride a complimentary shot and rang a bell. Service was amazing. She had gave suggestions and was very helpful. Caesar salad was made to perfection and hit the spot.
Amazing i'm at a loss for words. Our experience was so awesome. The service was just welcoming and warm and genuine. We appreciate it the atmosphere and the amount of effort they put into it to make it look so great. I've worked in the industry so I understand what it takes to make an atmosphere awesome and they took every step to ensure that the customer had the ultimate experience. The pink pasta was great. I had the ribeye steak, which was awesome. We also had the flaming appetizer which was very good and the Mediterranean salad delicious with the best tomatoes and cheese. I don't usually do reviews but I appreciate the effort that they spent and therefore I will go ahead and reciprocate that and they say thank you thank you thank you thank you I look forward to another great event in the near future. It was absolutely fun. Everything perfect. Thank you.
You can never go wrong with a little Pink...or A LOT works too!!! Wow, what a beautiful PINK restaurant! We went for a girls night. We had a table in the main dining room, next time would love a table in the "rose tunnel," but it was fun being able to see all the action from where we were sitting. The back patio is cute and even the restroom is darling! We had fun with the rose floral photo back drop out front, lots of laughs with the digital pictures. All the drinks look so girly and fun! Gotta have the Pink Drink and the Pink Pasta! Both were fantastic! The whole place is a total vibe! It definitely gets busy with lots of bachelorette parties coming and going. Seems like it's the place to be. Can't wait to check out their brunch!!!
Review for Mon Cheri -- Scottsdale Visited January 11 I visited Mon Cheri on January 11 to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday. She's bright, bubbly, and fun, and the restaurant's pink, pretty, feminine aesthetic felt like the perfect match -- which is exactly why we chose this spot. Before arriving, I looked over the menu and everything appeared absolutely stunning -- the kind of food that makes your mouth water just from the photos and descriptions. I went in fully intending to order the lobster toast and Turkish loaded fries. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our server, Hannah, who was very sweet, kind, and pleasant. She was semi-knowledgeable about the menu and overall friendly throughout the experience. Unfortunately, the food itself was a big disappointment. The lobster toast, in particular, was extremely misleading compared to the menu description and photos. What was shown as large chunks of lobster and bright, fresh avocado came out looking completely different -- minimal avocado that appeared old, different bread than described, and lobster chopped so finely it was unappetizing. Had I known it would look like that, I never would have ordered it. I asked if I could return the dish and have it removed from the bill, which the server did accommodate. When asked why, I explained that the menu presentation was very misleading and that the dish did not match what was advertised. On top of that, the restaurant was out of soda from the soda gun, with 2-liter bottles sitting on top of the bar, which looked tacky and unprofessional. The patio was also cluttered with what felt like dozens of fans, adding to the overall feeling that things were disorganized and not well thought out. I wasn't the only one at the table who felt this way -- multiple dishes ordered by our group looked nothing like what was presented on the menu. Overall, the drinks were good & the night was still enjoyable because of the people I was with, but the food and overall execution did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, I can confidently say that most of us would not return, especially given the disconnect between the menu and what's actually served. This was my first time at Mon Chéri. The lighting was very bright where we were seated (room with a wall of roses), so it sort of ruined the ambiance for me. I hope they work on making the lighting a more suitable one for a night out, as it definitely affects the dining experience as a whole. Nonetheless, the food was great. I enjoyed the Green Pasta and side dishes served (Pink Hummus, Mediterranean Shakshuka).
Such a cute restaurant. They have a photo spot outside. The flower booths are technically outside. It was pretty warm. The restroom is cute but kinda of outside too. We got the pink swan mocktail and it was delicious. Also for appetizers we got the spinach Mediterranean dip, it was good and it came with variety of breads/crackers. Also got the arancini and it was good. Pretty big you can definitely share. For food we tried the chicken finger and it was delicious. I got the steak frites and they didn't cook my steak the way I liked it and they were able to fix it. As well as my friends steak. They brought out our new steaks and it was delicious. My friend also got the chicken pita and she loved it. The Alfredo tasted good too. It was my friends birthday and they brought out a complementary birthday cake. Our waiter was super great! Also they do charge gratuity after a party of 6 or more. Also they don't split checks.
Mon Chéri appeared on my instagram multiple times so we were excited to try it. I was able to reserve a table for three on the patio two days ahead of our gathering. I was meeting up for brunch with my two besties on Saturday. The first thing that you notice about this place is how "girly" it is. It is packed with roses and beautiful pink decor everywhere. There were multiple birthday parties and bridal shower parties around us. We got seated as soon as we arrived and offered the menus and water. The menu had a variety of dishes to choose from. Although it's a French restaurant, the menu items appeared to have a bit of a Mediterranean twist with options such as muhammara, hummus and food spiced with sumac and coffees with baklava flavor. They also had alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a kids menu and shareables. All three of us ordered the MC breakfast board without the crispy prosciutto. Two of us ordered the tropical fauxjito and one of us ordered a side of chocolate croissant. Even though the restaurant was pretty full, especially outside, our drinks and food were served pretty quickly. If I was to score everything separately, I would give the main dish: 8/10, drink: 9.5/10, croissant 8/10. The main dish had eggs, potatoes, muhammara, roasted tomatoes, arugula and one slice of sour dough cut in half. The taste was great and the presentation was pretty however, it was a little hard to eat without making a mess. Drinks were so pretty and tasted fantastic. Croissant was flaky and buttery, just as you would expect a croissant to be. Overall, a pretty restaurant with unique decor and good tasting food. Girlies, you should all try it at least once!
Probably closer to a 3.5. I just had higher hopes and expectations for this place. My friend and I came on a Tuesday evening. We did have a reservation, but it didn't seem very busy. We sat the room with the flower wall/ceiling and it was beautiful and fun. But the rest of the place seemed old, run down, sticky. The floors were old and scratched up. The restrooms were located outside and while I did enjoy the decor inside them, they seemed old and not well cleaned. The outside area also had a sewage smell to it. I did like that they offered a decent list of mocktails and I decided to try the tropical fauxjito. It was pretty good. They offer daily deals and Tuesdays deal was half off cocktails. My friend enjoyed what she ordered. We were both excited to try the infamous pink pasta which you could order with a house salad. I decided to add chicken to the pasta. The salad was ok. The pink pasta was fun, and pretty good! The chicken I added to it was also just ok. Portions here are definitely on the smaller side. Overall, it was just an ok, overpriced experience. I might come back for brunch, and they did have a baklava latte on the menu that sounded delicious. read more

I've had several chances to visit this place but never quite made it. Finally, after all the hype settled a bit, I decided to try it on a Saturday afternoon. It was a warm day, and parking was definitely a challenge. There isn't much dedicated parking, so you'll likely have to circle around or park along the road. At the entrance, the flowers looked toasted and faded, having lost much of their freshness and charm. That said, there are plenty of beautiful photo-op spots inside. Full credit for the unique concept the ambiance is thoughtfully done, service is excellent, and I truly appreciate that it's women-owned. That's something to celebrate! Everything feels perfect until the food arrives. The menu is surprisingly small, yet the prices are quite high. The French fries looked poorly prepared, and the salad was underwhelming more like a handful of greens tossed together than a thoughtfully crafted dish. The drinks and other items unfortunately didn't make up for it either. This place has so much potential. Clearly, people come for the ambiance, service, and celebration vibes birthdays, Galentine's Day, baby showers, you name it. It's a great backdrop for pictures and special moments. But good ambiance alone isn't enough for repeat customers. Food doesn't need to be pink it needs to be flavorful and satisfying. I genuinely hope management revisits the menu because with better food, this place could truly thrive. Overall: a great spot for pictures and celebrations, but the food needs serious improvement. read more

This is just the sweetest place. For a fun meal and drinks without having to deal with annoying loud sports, tvs, drunks dudes and bad food. Here for a behind the scenes taping of one of my friend's pageant journey. I am sure on film this place looks amazing as the pictures I got on my phone looked great! As did the food ordered: truffle fries, peach burrata, flaming gruyere cheese, pink hummus & flirty cocktails in the most fun glasses. Very tasty! I will be coming back here when family comes in town because you can't miss this atmosphere! It is adorable anywhere you sit. The patio is huge and also has a great vibe. We tried the all 6 mondiments dipping sauces which was fun to try all the flavors they offered. The Pink ranch being one of my favorites. As for food, it is pricey which is to be expected for a place as pretty as this in the heart of Scottsdale. Everything we ordered was good but nothing I would die for unfortunately. Next time I will try whatever the waiter suggests. As for service, we had a great experience. The waiter that served us was very kind and knowledgeable. read more

I would only come here for the aesthetic photo ops. Food and drinks were okay, nothing crazy. Small portions. I was very disappointed in the service here because we had a reservation for 1pm on Sunday and when we got there (on time) we were told that they had already put other people at our booked table in the rose room. So they sat us outside until the table was ready and placed us right in front of the DJ booth that was blaring loud. By the time we sat in our reserved table/room, an hour had already gone by at this point. Food and drinks took another 45 mins to come out. Our group of 7 spent roughly 3 hrs here and we were all ready to get out by the time we got our plates. Will not be returning. Cutesy place for views but not food read more

Horrible experience. 1 star because it is a cute vibe inside. 1st issue, we ordered champagne and both glasses were room temperature. Which okay, maybe because it was just opened but why was the bottle not refrigerated? But then our server never even came over to check on us or the drinks to be able to order a cold glass or a cup of ice to chill the champagne. We had to go up to the bar ourselves to get that. Then it took roughly an hour or more to receive our food, which was shocking! We felt like we were completely catfished by the photos online and the descriptions. It was baffling. The looks of it matched the taste... disappointing! Then on top of it all - our server never even came over to check on us. Literally came to our table 3 times: 1) take drink order 2) take food order 3) give us our check. Honestly couldn't tell you her name or what she looked like because the lack of her visibility. The atmosphere is cute but don't waste your time or money. The service staff seem like they have no idea what they're doing. We had a big party of 7, and reserved several weeks in advance they sat us at a table with chairs missing. We had to cram onto the booth side and ask about extra chairs for our party 4 times before they brought us some. I paid $15 for a bruschetta thinking it would be pretty decent size, no. It was an incredibly small portion. Drinks for all of us took about 20 mins. Food took about 30 more mins to come out and they brought the side salads out after everyone was already finished eating their entree. The strawberry cold brew was terrible. Didn't taste like coffee, tasted tart, no hint of strawberry. It's a place to go to if you're just curious and open to exploring or in for an aesthetic experience/ light lunch but not for if you're wanting a good coffee and good meal. read more

We made a reservation ahead of time. Upon arrival, I checked in at the host stand early and was told our table wasn't quite ready, but we'd be contacted when it was. No problem- they had a photo booth and we killed some time. 15-20 minutes elapse and we noticed groups that JUST arrived got seated ahead of us. I became concerned and I followed up with the host about our table, and she asked if I was sure I hadn't already been seated because I was marked accordingly........ Obviously, this is not something you want to hear as a guest. Feeling forgotten/overlooked while standing in front of a CLEAR GLASS wall felt comical/puzzling (read: mildly infuriating) and started the interaction off on the wrong foot. We got seated immediately after following up. Our saving grace was our fabulous server who took great care of us. (I'm sorry, I can't remember her name but she was a kind brunette who assisted us inside, directly in front of the bar.) I did inquire with our server though about our charcuterie board that came out missing 3 items that were listed on the menu. I inquired if there was an outage. After our server checked with the kitchen, she brought out the missing items. Everything was delicious. I understand that it's a very busy/popular place, but this felt disorganized and like there wasn't enough care or attention to detail at different points in our visit. While it's minor, it all adds up on the guest experience side. I def would suggest asking if guests who are standing outside have been assisted, or figure out a process to make sure no one gets missed (especially when you can seat guests immediately). I'm not sure if all items on the charcuterie board would have arrived had we not followed up. (I only realized because we had been wanting to try the fig jam and noticed other things were missing too.) Overall, the drinks are dreamy and Mon Cheri presents them well. The interior is cutesy and Instagrammable- they've got all the faux flowers your heart desires. Perfect for groups and celebrations. Crowd trends young. Def popular with college aged women or those celebrating a bridal shower. Rose tunnel area is very cute too! Oh! I did love the wide selection of mocktails and the clever item names. We ended up having a nice time. I do want to say, hands down, it was truly on account of our wonderful server. She really made all the difference. Without her, I'd easily be reciting the iconic line of Tyra Banks on ANTM! (IYKYK.) read more

The only redeeming quality of this place is the aesthetic (and even the decor was looking a little crusty.) I can see how influencers online make it look cool and trendy, but we were severely disappointed. There was a solid list of cocktail and mocktail options, which initially impressed us. Unfortunately, the cocktails we received looked nothing like the photos and tasted overly sweet and juice-heavy. The avocado crepe was especially disappointing. It tasted like straight-up store-bought guacamole, and not a good one. Overall, the food was subpar and the flavors were minimal at best. We left hungry. They did seem very understaffed, but our waiter handled it as well as he could and did a nice job given the circumstances. read more
The ultimate girl experience first off, you MUST visit during Pink Hour (happy hour). Drinks and select food are discounted and delicious and all pink! Pink pasta, pink RANCH? They were very generous portions for the price and so tasty. While you eat or when you're done, you are surrounded by the most instagrammable decor. This is a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant! So quaint and beautiful! I came here with my 3 daughters and we had the best time! The service was very good. The mocktail menu was impressive. The food was creative and we shared 4 different plates so we could try different things. We tried 2 toasts...Fig Honey & Ricotta and Smoked Salmon & Caviar Pink Pasta with grilled chicken and the Truffle Fries. It was all very good to look at but was somewhat bland to taste. The pasta was pretty good but could have used more seasoning. The truffle fries were good and the pink ranch was quite tasty. Heavy on dill and I really liked it! The toasts were just okay. The Espresso Mocktini was okay...super sweet. Overall, I would definitely go back to enjoy with girlfriends and I would try some different dishes. read more
While in a work trip I saw a video about this all pink restaurant in Scottsdale and I was super excited (I love pink). Now, this restaurant nailed the cute feminine decor! Everything was pretty, ceiling, chairs, murals! For sure Instagram worthy look. Also the service was good, very friendly waitress. We went down hill from there. It was a slight indication that at 5:30 pm we were the only ones there. We were sat right away and ordered drinks. There were a few things that stopped us from ordering any food... 1. There was a very odd smell (possibly from the bathroom near where we were sat) 2. Splatters of food or something around where we were sitting making us realize cleaning wasn't a top priority - also food was on the pricier side so we didn't want to risk paying a lot when we already didn't feel good about the place. 3. The drinks were not good. The pink drink tasted very bad almost like a crushed medicine pill (but they nailed the look of it) So, we didn't end up ordering any food because the other things concerned us. I feel like the drink quality was sacrificed to achieve the pretty look. Now, I am all about a pretty atmosphere and pretty drink but I also need the flavor to be there! read more

We came here for a brunch on a bachelorette trip. This is a cute spot, if you want really nice instagram photos. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food was mediocre, you just come here for the pics. I tried their pink pasta with grilled chicken. It was literally pink! I just tasted like chicken Alfredo. They put pink or glitter in anything they can!! Their crispy prosciutto was my favorite thing! I didn't try any of their drinks, but my friends said they were delicious. Service was very slow. I cannot stress this enough, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We came here for our last dinner during my bachelorette weekend and it could not have gone any worse than it did. This restaurant does a good job of click bait and trying to draw in customers by their cute floral decor but do NOT be fooled. Aside from their "cute" decor you will be met with extremely overpriced ($$$$) entrees and $20+ drinks that you could truly make yourself. There is a cute floral tunnel wall and I asked if we could move into that section since there were 3 open tables and the waiter went to ask the hostess and I could see and hear this conversation. The hostess immediately goes "No, no, no!" The waiter comes back and lets us know that unfortunately the AC doesn't work in there and claimed that it was 90 degrees. My girls and I went into that tunnel room and it felt fine. They simply did not want to be accommodating and were giving heavy mean girl vibes. When we begin to give our orders to our poor waitress, who is clearly on edge, she proceeds to tell us that the restaurant is practically out of 80% of their menu items! Kebabs, ran out. Chicken, ran out. Prawns and shrimp, ran out. Turkish kofte, would you look at that... RAN OUT. All our first, second, and third options on the menu were all no longer an option. I unfortunately ordered the branzino and the server who brought it out said "I'm going to debone this for you, where should I do it?" (I should've said on my head because what kind of question is that). She proceeds to debone the branzino with a BUTTER KNIFE and fork. She starts struggling and it looks like she's trying to saw off the fish head with the knife and says "Sorry, it's stuck." By the time this lady is done deboning the fish, as she would call it, it looks completely butchered and there are literal chunks of fish meat that was scattered across our table from her trying to debone with a butter knife. They gave me a celebratory shot since I was the bride but unfortunately it smelled like bath water and tasted awful. Y'all I cannot make this up. It truly baffles me that this restaurant and service simply exists. Please do yourself a favor and save yourself the trouble and money. read more

We had a horrible experience for my best friend's bachelorette dinner. First we arrived at 2030 and when we sat down to order, we immediately were told that 75% of the menu is unavailable. Our waitress was nice however and we wanted to sit at the table where the ceilings were flowers for the nice pics and she said it was ok but then the hostess said no and then proceeded to tell us lies that the room was 94 degrees but we ended up going there anyways and it wasn't 94 degrees. We ordered the branzino and they "de-boned" it but the other waitress who brought the dish out tried to take out the fish head with a BREAD knife...so you can imagine how well that worked...she had a difficult time and said "it's stuck" like mind you I'm used to having a branzino deboned properly at RH Restaurant or even in Europe so this was comical to watch. The end result was fish that had sooooo many hard fish bones and the fish was overcooked. A $40 branzino should fall off the bone and be so moist and this was not it. This was as dry as the Arizona Desert. I'm willing to pay good money but just make it worth it. If you want a cute instagram place with horrible, bland, overcooked food with upscale restaurant pricing ($$$$) then this is the spot for you! Book at your own risk. read more
Enjoyed an afternoon cocktail hour at the bar this weekend after finding Mon Cheri suggested on multiple lists. We had AMAZING cocktails and mocktails, and enjoyed some appetizers as well. The bartender was fantastic and crafted delicious drinks. The food was okay - we had a bread and oil board and the spinach dip board, both of which were way larger than expected so I wish we would have known before ordering as we could barely make a dent and had to leave them when heading to the airport. The spinach dip was mostly cheese and was not as good as we desired, but the pita was great. The restaurant is quite pricy so it hurt our wallets to get more than one drink, but they were so good we did it anyways. It was quite busy with multiple bachelorette parties in attendance for drinks and lunch. The restaurant was adorable with indoor and outdoor seating focused on pink and flowers. Would definitely come back for the amazing cocktails! read more

I feel like I was catfished. The food was either bland, undercooked, or overcooked. When we got there, they were out of 90% of the menu..although I'm not sure how great any of the other food would have been. Very very underwhelming!!! My group could not believe how horrible everything was. My sister's free celebration shot was disgusting--she didn't even take the whole thing. The cute pictures you might get here is not worth the quality of food for their price point. Actually, I'm not even sure any price point would be appropriate for the way the food tasted. Just gross. I felt bad because our waitress was sweet and apologetic of the fact that there was practically nothing available on the menu. She tried to be accommodating but even then, the service was lacking. Highly disappointed. Would not wish this on anyone. Go somewhere else, like we should have! read more
