Local pizza place. Was in town on business and was in the mood for some good New York style pizza. Found Mondo's which was a short drive from the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We just got a simple pepperoni and sausage pizza. Pizza was piping hot, gooey cheese, a nice crispy crust. Very pleasantly surprised. Tried out mondo's due to the great reviews. We got a cheese pizza for takeout and it was perfectly fine, but nothing special. The crust was still undercooked, like most places in Colorado I find. The sauce does have good flavor. It's priced appropriately though and I would still go back. read more

New pizza place...yum! I ordered an 18" pepperoni and added some veggies to it, add on veggies are $0.50 per veggie. This was a big pizza, it had plenty of pepperoni and they didn't skimp on the veggies, the crust was good. I would have liked more sauce and more cheese and on the pizza and for the pizza to have been delivered when it was still hot. With all of that said, the pizza was good value for the size and delivery and other fees were not unreasonable, pizza was tasty and I will give Mondo's another try! read more

I am a truck driver from Wisconsin. My new dedicated run now takes me to Aurora CO once a week. Being on the road a lot, I am always looking for a good place to eat. Most of the time, it does not work in my favor. Most restaurants don't take PRIDE in making good (delicious) food. It's like NO ONE CARES ANYMORE. Then one day I stumble on Mondo's, (WOW) what a game changer. As soon as I stepped into the front door, I was greeted by one of the owners (Angel). Not just Angel, but all the staff are kind. Great customer server every time I come in (which is now once a week). I have tried almost every pizza (delicious). Which is exciting for me, because every week I have something different. Definitely one of the better pizza places in the GVR area. AND they delivered to my new address, so that's a plus too! I'm a picky pizza person and this was good pizza. Crust had the right amount of "squish" to it (not overcooked...I don't like it crunchy) and the pizza had a good ratio of sauce and cheese. Keep up the good work! read more

My family of 4 (me, wife, and two teenage boys) dined in and ordered the large 18" spicy italian pizza (I requested no jalapeños) and it was so DELICIOUS! This review is not about Mondo's Pizza. If you are seeing this on Yelp, do not order through them! Order directly from Mondo's or another food delivery service. We were in from out of town and ordered a bunch of food for several families using the yelp link. The order was then handled by grubhub. We received confirmation of the order and it was going to take awhile, which we understood with it being a Friday night. The time came and went for when the order was to be delivered. We called Mondos and they said the order had been picked up a half hour earlier. We called grubhub 4-5 times and think we were hung up on at least twice. So we never received our dinner!!! Again do not order using the order button on Yelp!!! read more

I tried this place earlier in the week and it was SO GOOD I had to go back. There is nothing better than the Butcher calzone or pizza. The sauce is perfect and the crust on both was cooked just right. The pizza had perfect thin crust and it was just what I was looking for. Came here after not receiving any service at the Gaylord. What incredible pizza! We ordered La Romana and the fresh ingredients were so delicious. Our 5 and 3 yr olds are up their whole slice! Staff was friendly and restaurant, although simple, was clean. You order at the counter and then find a table. We ordered a Greek salad and Brooklyn Pizza. The salad was fresh with plenty of trimmings. Very refreshing. The pizza is new york style thin crust. Toppings were generous and plentiful. Would recommend trying during any stay near airport. Got a calzone. It was packed with stuff and well-cooked all the way through - no doughy raw center. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars was the sauce had a distinctive jar spaghetti sauce taste. It was a little too sweet and runny for my tastes. Yours may vary, of course.
