First time here. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very chill with music playing. It was a clean and well-kept area. The food was delicious: I had the classic tonkotsu. I felt the broth was delicious. The way the pork was cooked was so nice: tender and a nice sear on it. What stopped me in my tracks was the hardboiled egg; I felt like it was infused with flavor or something. I loved it. It was different. I didn't picture it, but the spicy tuna on crispy rice threw me off. I thought the rice would be fried (I didn't read, obviously lol). Kinda bummed but nonetheless a nice idea. Over all, really good. Second chance!! We went again on a Sunday evening, almost five months after our first visit on Moneykey's soft opening. We noticed many open tables, but we were seated right away. Then soon after, more customers came in and they were seated. We noticed that MoneyKey tweaked their menu, but we only ordered a Shoyu ramen, chicken karaage, and cucumber salad. Everything came out with minimal wait The cucumbers was tasty...we wished it chunks were more smaller and even ( I looked like the cucumbers were torn maybe mashed but looks aren't everything, right? The chicken was a bit dry but it was alright. The ramen was garlicky, but it was decent. The service was great, and the servers were friendly and cordial. My hubby did not like the taste of the food, but I think I'd go back on my own to try their Katsu Curry and Spam Musubi, even do a take out order. read more

My boyfriend loves ramen, so he was excited when we saw that MoneyKey was going to be opening soon. We had been here once and I hadn't gotten around to posting my review, but the food was very tasty, the staff was friendly, the ambiance was pleasant, and I appreciated that it was reasonably priced. All of the above reasons are the reason for my three star rating over only two. On our second visit, I took my son for a special dinner... they were out of strawberry lemonade (my son's favorite), so he ordered a sweetened iced tea, and my boyfriend ordered an unsweetened tea, and they were the exact same drink. No sweetness to my son's at all. I mentioned this to our server and he kindly apologized and returned with a delicious sweet tea. Our two ramens came, and as we were enjoying them, I realized that neither of them had a boiled egg . Obviously, if you are a ramen fan, this is one ingredient that is not just expected, but also excitedly anticipated! An absolute must! I understand that the rising price of eggs has affected us all, but I seriously had to ask myself if they intentionally omit the egg when serving their customers and then only provide it on request to reduce their overhead costs. It doesn't seem like a missing boiled egg would be such a big deal, but it is a key ingredient and absolutely missed if not included! Again, the server apologized and then we received our eggs, but the problem with it being brought to our table after the fact was that they didn't get to sit in the hot broth as it was prepared, then served to our table and soaking while we ate ... my boyfriend and I both realized the difference but didn't mention it then and it wasn't discussed until days later. I am saddened to write this, because our first experience was great. I wish only good fortune to you MoneyKey. It pains me to post this, but unfortunately, this was my experience. read more

I was worried when I picked it up that the noodles would soak up all the juice as I only saw one container but the container separates the broth from the noodles/ingredients I was so happy. i ordered the spicy beef ramen and it was delicious! the noodles are thick and flavorful. the beef is soft and easily shreds apart. i also had the shrimp tempura and it was some of the best i've ever had. it was crispy and flaky. it wasn't like other tempura i've had before, it was better. the service was really good and attentive. multiple servers were coming around to make sure we were doing okay. the ambiance is cute in here. it's small but feels warm and cozy. read more

Restaurant is pretty nice inside and you can order togo leisurely with a tablet if wanted. Tables were nice and spaced well. They were overwhelmed with more customers than they anticipated and it was very busy for the time I was there with many people coming in and out. I was visiting from San Diego and my cousins took me to this ramen spot. Coming from an area that has a ton of top tier ramen joints, I might have higher standards. Overall, for Simi valley this spot was pretty good but pretty pricey from what I'm used to. We tried the classic ramen and garlic truffle ramen, we would recommend the garlic truffle one for a lot more flavor. The pork was actually impressively tender and flavorful, so I'll give that! The eel avocado roll and takoyaki balls were also decent. We had a few team members tend to us and everyone was really nice. I think they forgot I ordered a beer so I had to ask for it again but they apologized and immediately brought it over. Again, for Simi I can see why my cousin likes going here!
