The general chicken at first bite tasted like shrimp, then as I tasted others not sure what but certainly not chicken, the taste just was gross. This family restaurant served delicious Asian food with a very reasonable price. They offered Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and other Asian dishes. I had a seafood soup with Udon for dinner. The portion was big and full of tasty seafood (shrimps, scallops, squid, mussels) and vegetables. The soup base was a clear chicken broth with no msg. All that food for under $9. I'm assuming this place is new since I saw the grand-opening sign. I ordered through GrubHub and the prices were perfect. Taste is okay if you wanna kick the Chinese-take out craving to the curb! I ordered the lunch drunken noodles and orange chicken (would like to mentioned it had like 2-3 big burnt/black peels of orange in it). Drunken noodles were a little bit too oily/greasy and the orange chicken tasted fine enough to satisfy my orange chicken cravings. My stuff was reasonably priced since most places during lunch are usually $8.00+ at Chinese places. Will come again and hope that the taste will improve. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We stopped by there on a whim on a Saturday afternoon as we were in the area. It's a small place, sounds like they do a lot of deliveries. They have a small dining area. We were immediately seated and prompting waited on. We ordered the sesame chicken and an appetizer sample. We all really liked the sesame chicken and everything was decent portion size. They had dollar beers as well. They serve lunch until 3pm (we just missed the mark). Ordered through Grubhub tonight and trying to get a refund. Worst Pho I've ever had, and I'm not picky. Beef was spongy and completely bland, which matched well with the weird tasting noodles and flavorless broth. Spring rolls were gross and warm. Nothing tasted right, so it all went in the trash. I've never thrown away food I paid for, but I guess when it's damn near inedible there's nothing else to do with it. Edit: They offered us half our money back for food that couldn't be eaten. OK, short review : the place and food are great considering that this is a small restaurant, and I would definitelly recommend it to everybody. Very decent customer service and nice interiors. Would I go there again? Yes. Now for a bit longer review. I've been to the place couple of times. I was introduced to it by my friend, who took me there for lunch. I live in Aurora and come around to the area only to visit dim sum places on Alameda(which is in different direction from this place), so I've never heard of this location, plus from what I gathered it opened recently. Noodles are my passion, so Lo Mein Combo was my choice, and my friend had Seafood Combination, which is actually very fancy and tasty. Plus we had some of the pineapple wontons. All of that was fantastic. Considering the food quality , the prices are quite decent compared to many other asian food places. Boba smoothies are quite good , too. About the place itself. The interior of the place is kind of dimly lit and cozzy, with all asian lucky decorations and charms near front desk, and two long rows of chairs in the dining area. My impression is that it would be nice to bring a business partner or a friend for a quiet lunch there, or simply come by yourself and relax. The waitress, who also does cashiering, is very friendly. I only saw her doing all the job in the front when I was there, so my guess is that the staff isn't very big, so keep that in mind during rush hours. But at the same time, they do pretty good job for being a small restaurant. On both occasions that I've been there, I saw the same guy, so it's evident that the restaurant is slowly growing a set of local frequent customers. So considering that this restaurant is new and small, they're doing pretty good work. Give it a shot, folks ! read more

Food was awesome! Their orange chicken tastes different than I'm used to, but it was a good different. Wontons are delicious not fatty. I love their wontons, first time eating them and I ate an order of eight by myself. The rice is good too! And my delivery came 37 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. This business does not know how to tend to the customers when there is an issue. I called upset because their driver verbally attacked me and threw my food in my face because I answered the phone and he didn't hear me. He got so angry I legitimately got scared. When calling the business I spoke with the "manager" and she started yelling at me as well. Clearly their way of solving issues is to yell at their customer. The same woman is always working the whole front of house by herself, she's definitely an immigrant, and she is HILARIOUS. She's always telling me about "how you Americans love [x] so much". X = paying for apartment with mountain views, swimming, having children, air conditioning. I also enjoy when I call to place an order, she answers, takes my order, and then just says bye. No total. No estimated time. She and I just have a mutual understanding. I'll be there in 10 minutes, I'll bring a debit card. Every time I patronize this place, I get nearly the same order - crab cheese wontons, pork pot stickers, and an entree dish of that evenings choosing (no, this isn't all for me. Most of the time). My order was over 45 minutes later than the estimated time, and when the delivery driver arrived, he requested I come out to his car rather than him coming to my door, a one floor walkup. Our food was cold and soggy, rendering it very unappetizing. I had actually called the restaurant when our order was about 15 minutes late, and was treated brusquely by the person who answered the phone. Easily the worst Asian food I've had in Denver. My girlfriend and I stopped in to Moon River tonight while waiting for our laundry to finish at the laundromat next door. We've eaten here in the past under the same circumstances, while this place was under the previous ownership. The food was mediocre at best in the past, but we figured with new owners we'd give them a shot. Note that the place wasn't busy. When we walked in there were 4 employees standing in the small entry area, but it took a couple of minutes before we were directed to sit where ever we liked. Our first issue arose when my GF tried to order hot tea. I'm not clear on the exact nature of the problem, but it seems they either had no way to brew the tea, or they didn't have a pot to bring it to the table. So, she instead ordered an iced tea, and I got a Coke. Our server returned with the tea quickly, but couldn't remember what I ordered. The tea turned out to be pretty bad, and could have been just dingy water for all we could tell. Eventually we both had our sodas. Moving on to the food... We just wanted to snack while our laundry ran, and ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup, an order of salt and pepper wings, a plate of crab cheese wontons, and some chicken pot stickers. Our server confirmed our order, and that we were only having appetizers. The hot and sour soup arrived immediately, and was just ok. The crab cheese wontons arrived very quickly afterwards, and were disappointing. They needed to have been left in the fryer a little longer, and there were just a couple of tiny specks of crabmeat in them. We had to laugh a little at the "garnish" underneath them though - a messy pile of roughly chopped iceberg lettuce. Also, this food was left without any cutlery or napkins on the table. I'm making a new paragraph here to indicate that the rest of the food showed up as a second course. Perhaps this is also a good time to mention that both of the first items were primarily for my girlfriend, and I was waiting for the rest. Delivery happened about the same time the soup and wontons were finished, and came with cutlery as a bonus. The very first thing I noticed was that the wings were all smaller than my thumb, but that the pot stickers were actually very large, as well as both plates being covered with the aforementioned iceberg mountains. Unfortunately, both dishes ended up only deepening our disappointment. The wings started off tasty, but I ended up with one that smelled and tasted of old fish, and that put me off from the rest of the plate. The pot stickers, though large, were also completely flavorless, and the dipping sauce served with them was thin and far too sweet. So it was kinda late on a Sunday so I checked out grub hub. Glad I did. Large portions and really cheap compared to other places. Thai egg rolls were great. Sweet and sour chicken was excellent and the drunken noodles had lots of flavor and spicy like the menu says. I read all the reviews AFTER placing my order and was nervous. This is my go to Chinese/Asian place. Super quick delivery, huge portions so you are eating it for like 2-3 days. Highly recommend the sesame chicken, orange chicken, chicken fried rice, spicy edamame, steamed dumplings, wonton soup, wings, egg rolls, pho, and app of fried wontons. Hands down the best Mongolian Beef I have EVER had. Make sure to ask for any condiments or utensils you will need when you order and include how many people will be eating or it will come without what you need. Super tasty food, fast delivery, and always happy that they accommodate my request for no MSG. Wonderful place, wonderful people working there, and prompt and respectful delivery drivers. I will never buy food from Moon River again, neither should you. I used to order from them all the time and they were prompt. This past weekend I ordered and the food took 1 hour and fifty minutes to get there. After repeatedly checking outside, I went out and the driver was there (he didn't even call when he arrived because he was so late and ran to the door) - I asked for a pen and was willing to pay for my food because of how hungry I was, and he kept saying 0 dollars you no pay, you no pay. So I DID NOT sign the receipt. 2 days later I have a charge (in full) for the food I ordered. I was under the impression it was free, not to mention again I DID NOT SIGN THE RECEIPT. After multiple phone calls to the rude lady who works the front desk, they will not give me my money back. She even said she talked to the driver... crooked. They say I get free dumplings next time I go back, free dumplings....? no thanks, fuck your dumplings, fuck your business. Never eating there again, neither should you! read more

Quite disappointed with the quality of the food. I received the food hot and fresh, so I thought that it should be decent. The crispy spring rolls were the only thing that was decent from what I ordered. I ordered sesame chicken. There was more breading than chicken itself. The dish was overtopped with a bland sauce and sesame seeds. Also the broccoli seemed almost at borderline fresh. I couldn't finish the food I was so taken back.
