I'm a big fan of moonbowls when I want something not~so~heavy but also absolutely delicious! You can find them in a lot of cloud kitchens and such is the case with this moonbowls near me. It's actually quite a bit of a you~know~what~show with delivery drivers & other consumers filling the streets. I'm not really a fan of coming to this small, busy cloud kitchen. However, delivery from here serves me just fine! I like the moonbowls' Crispy Chicken Nuggets which come with a sauce and have an interesting spice to them they call the 'moonspice blend' plus you can add extra kicks in flavor with one is their spicy dipping sauces. Now what you've come here for is per the name though - The bowls! You can pick and choose things including your proteins and base with a good variety of options. I love their grilled BBQ chicken with brown rice, corn salad, spicy sauteed mushrooms, love the roasted sweet potatoes, chili flaked pineapples - really everything I've ever had here has tasted fresh and wonderful. And can I say I'm obsessed with their creamy sesame sauce?! AHHH I could swim laps in it. Not into the creamy avocado though because it has hints of cilantro in it, wompwomp. They also sell those Honduran brownies you see individually wrapped around LA. Good cause and tasty when I need to add in a chocoholic craving, I'm in. Where do I begin. Yelp filing this under 'restaurants' is a stretch. This place is a grimy pickup spot. The food took a full 30 minutes to be ready, which is excessive for a place like this, and when I realized there were no utensils included and asked for a fork, they charged me for it. Yes, they charge you for a plastic fork. As for the food.. Imagine a microwave dinner, but put together with zero care or effort. It was bland and disappointing. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I ordered this through Door Dash. It did come cold which understand happens with delivery. The sweet potatoes weren't even cooked all the way and weee hard. Both sauces really didn't have much flavor and either did the meat. I was disappointed and wouldn't order again sadly. read more

I think I had the same experience as some of the others here. I wish I would have checked Yelp before ordering. The bowl was half empty with only a couple of pieces of chicken. I paid $2 extra for cucumber salad and it was about 4 sad pieces of cucumber on top. The flavor was good but everything was kinda swimming in what I'm assuming was kimchi juice. I chose kale for my base and it was very minimal. I ended up adding cabbage, avocado and carrots at home so it would actually be a meal. Also if available I add a side of tofu which I throw into the bowl along with barbecue and gochujang sauce. My ultimate favorite! Like others have mentioned the bowl is a bit bland and needs to be sauced up, since the side ingredients aren't really seasoned. Chicken/rice is warm but everything else is cold/room temp. We all have pretty different taste and food preferences, but this is a lunch option we all agree on together. I personally love that there is vegan bulgogi! The flavor is so good that my non-vegan coworkers choose this dish over the "real" meat chicken items on the menu. It seems like a good portion size, with a fair price too. I would say 3.5. I ordered a custom bowl with a lot of extra stuff today because I'm just trying to burn 23$ left of my doordash credit. The bowl was good but for 20$ with 3$ tip I was expecting it to be crazy big since I got double chicken and tofu. When I got the bowl it was like 1 serving of chicken and only 7 cubes of tofu. The bowl was so light. It looked like a normal bowl tbh. It's healthy which I like but not as flavorful as other Korean bowls I have had but maybe it's because they're trying to cut out unhealthy oils, sugar and salt? I liked the bamboo rice and seasoned seaweed. The chicken was kind of tough though because it was chicken breast but also it didn't seem like the breasts were marinated or tenderized. It could have also been seared a lot longer to where you see char marks. Well well well, The moon has eclipsed today. Unfortunately my fist experience of the moon bowl was not a great one. The concept is stellar but the food did not live up to the hype. The Korean bbq cauliflower was all soggy with good flavor. The Korean hot chicken bowl was lacking any spice and seasoning. I guess it al about the siracha sauce.They gave me three pieces of bite size protein. Wow okay The chicken and egg bowl bland same weak portions. The impossible potstickers were made well but still lacked flavor. I'm glad I had some sauce at home. Good night moon. read more

Man this place went downhill. Really liked it a few years ago when I had it delivered. I went to pick up an order (20 minutes after I placed the order) and the food was cold, and the rice was all kludged up in a gross blob. Also bland. Ingredients weren't as depicted on the menu. While delivery apps made it easy to stay fed, it also made it way too easy to eat lots of junk food :/ Moonbowls literally saved my @$$ Their bowls are filling without packing tons of calories, and they have many healthier options. I'm not a vegan, but I am HOOKED on their plant-based Avocado Bulgogi!!! It's a big portion of perfectly seasoned Impossible beef bulgogi, with tons of veggies and super delish kimchi. I also had an order of their Korean BBQ wings and a chicken salad. The salad was solid, but those cauliflower wings covered in sticky-delicious Korean BBQ sauce... droooool! Omg so yum! I love this food spot, they have a lot of great restaurants available at this pick up location. I rarely order bowls of any kind bc I'm always worried I won't like the combo. I was happily satisfied with the avo bulgogi I ordered, something way out of my comfort zone. Next time I'll order less 'meat' and more rice and avo or something, it was a little too much for me when there were so many other awesome things in the dish. But no complaints and I will def return! The gang at work were so excited to read the menu. As mostly vegetarians, we were happy to see so many options and ended up ordering extra and sharing because we couldn't decide. Spicy and regular(x2) avocado bulgogi, sesame surprise, and don't cauliflower it. They were all delicious. The separate ingredients had good flavor and together were even better. Trash. Just ordered delivery off Caviar tonight. Order received by vendor at 8:09pm. Wasn't ready for driver pickup til like 9:20. Received delivery about 10 minutes later. Food was cold as hell and they screwed up one of the items. Stuff happens and sometimes things get busy. But to be super late AND cold? I'm not talking about lukewarm--COLD to the touch. I had to nuke it. Hell no. On top of that everything was pretty under-seasoned. One thing I will give them though is they didn't skimp on the protein--they gave a good amount of very large chunks of chicken breast. Other than that, don't waste your time/money here. Just wanted to warn others that you have to order on a food delivery app and then they put your food in a locker for you to pick up. Not sure if this a normal thing around this area but I was confused when I got there and an employee who was sitting outside explained it to me. Overall, the food was okay! My biggest complaint is that it was wildly overpriced. Each additional topping is around a dollar, so my bowl came up to $22. In comparison to Chipotle, which is what it felt like (except Korean) it cost about twice as much. It felt healthy and the flavor was decent but nothing extraordinary.
