    Salmon Bowls
    Tiffany H.

We created our own bowls which mainly consisted of salmon and tuna. The toppings were pretty much unlimited, except for a few which costed extra. I ordered the forbidden rice which was black rice. It tasted like a cross between quinoa and brown rice, which was interesting but tasted good! The fish was a bit warm, not as cold as I would've liked for it to be but I think that's because the rice might've brought the temperature of the ingredients up. The sauces and flavors of the bowl blended well! Service was quick and decent. The restaurant was a bit small but was clean! There are other poke places that give bigger portions and are better but if you're in the area, this wouldn't be a bad option!

I came here for the Fallout promotion. I was thoroughly impressed, while the line was long it moved quickly. The poke was amazing and the service was good despite the chaos of the promotion. Totally recommend the spicy tuna poke bowl, big portions at a fair price. They do have sitting and fancy infused free water inside and some seating outside. Parking is a bit tricky, but if I'm in the neighborhood I would definitely come back to this location or go to ones closer in my area next time I am craving it.

To start the workers at this Sweetfin location seemed thoroughly disinterested in working there; when ordering there was a lack of greeting and it felt like we were inconveniencing them. We almost walked out the door. But hunger won. The food came out quickly. The spicy tuna bowl was fine, although overly topped with spicy mayo and crispy onions. Would not recommend unless you're dying for some poke.

For what it is, Sweetfin is a really great place. The poke bowls are good and satisfying and there are many options. The environment is nice and quiet but with enough stimulation from low music playing. One thing I'd like to point out and that has made my experience here great is the water. The water is really good.

Sweetfin seems to be the predominate poke spot around here. I've never seen so many healthy options for a poke bowl. Given that a poke bowl on it's own is pretty healthy that's quite a feat. There were a lot of takeout orders when I walked in and placed my order. I liked my bowl. However, I should not have gotten the sun-dried tomatoes (my bad!) I didn't like them so I picked them all out and when they were all piled aside, I was aghast to find out about a third of my bowl was all sun-dried tomatoes, even though I had about 10 other additions. They definitely are not fair with their more popular toppings, it seems. Overall, it was a pretty good poke bowl. I probably will be back just because it's the closest one to me and I enjoyed my bowl besides my bad choice in toppings.

I asked for extra garlic and fried onion and they listen to their customers lol

How much do I love Sweetfin? Let me count the ways... 1) Consistently fresh tasting ingredients 2) Fish is sustainably farmed 3) Portion size is perfect 4) Everything is absolutely DELICIOUS Sweetfin is my standard for poke. While some places I enjoy because of their stellar portions (Pokinometry!) Sweetfin has me near licking the bowl at the end because of how amazing it tastes. Tip: you get 6 toppings for free, so you can order double or triple of what you love!

If you are looking for a fresh and refreshing poke bowl in mid city Larchmont area, then you've come to the right place. The fish is fresh, the staff are friendly, and fresh the signature bowls are the way to go. My personal favorite is the Mango Albacore with extra garlic!

My friend and I were exploring LA and had a craving for poke! I've never been to Sweetfin and I wanted to give it a try. The staff were very patient and helpful with my order since it was my first time. I had asked a couple of questions regarding the ingredients and what certain toppings were. They were all knowledgeable and super sweet! There was also outdoor seating available for us to sit outside. The outdoor seating is on the sidewalk but had light foot traffic. I was fairly comfortable eating outside. They also provide disinfectant wipes for you to wipe down the seats and tables for safety precautions. Very nice! As for my first time trying the poke - it was great! I got a few toppings with all salmon and half kale and half forbidden rice. The fish was fresh and tasty. And the toppings were perfectly crunchy and flavorful. It was the perfect meal for both my friend and I actually - we weren't too full and didn't feel too heavy to walk around after. All around perfect! I'll definitely be visiting again.

The fried onions on top of the Tokyo roll were crispy and sweet. Uni was fresh and delicious! I had uni only one time before and had a bad experience (it was incredibly fishy, and now I realize, not fresh). Snagging a reservation took some time but was worth the effort. Our meal was an incredible experience--the service, the way each course was presented in such beautiful dishware--the meal was a well-planned journey and one of the best dining experiences we've had. We dined here again in January and it's taken me some time to process this experience and put it in words. The dining room interior has been remodeled since our last visit. The atmosphere helps you focus on being present, being in the moment, being still when each course comes. With excited anticipation you take the lid off of the soup bowl or the staff unveils a dish, so your focus is seeing, smelling, feeling, tasting and enjoying the first bite and all the flavors in the dish before you. What a fun experience! Chef Niki is so creative, thoughtful, deliberate in how she plans her guests' meals. We enjoyed meeting her at the end of our meal and having the opportunity to thank her for the care and attention she gives to all. We look forward to coming here again when we're able to get to L.A.

Most of the time in multi-course meals, there's one or two dishes that make me scratch my head and wonder if my palate is just basic and unrefined if I don't enjoy it, but I didn't feel that in any way here. We ended up ordering the toro garlic toast, veggie tempura, ginza roll, and several pieces of nigiri sushi. The toro garlic toast was pretty good - sort of like a spicy tuna crispy rice situation ... but a little fattier and more garlicky than crispy. The ginza roll was pretty good too - a lot of fish in the roll and wasn't overwhelming with too much sauce. The tempura was good too- not super oily and all your typical veg involved. The nigiri sushi were pretty well prepared. The size was pretty good for the price - and each were accompanied by a small garnish on top or a little bit of sauce brushed on. All in all - I wouldn't say it's a date night place, but is a good easy eats sushi spot for rolls and nigiri for the price. Would recommend!
