Came for the first time to work remotely for a few hours. The outlet seating wasn't as prominent as o would have expected from such a heavy remote worker spot. I had to wait for someone to leave to move over to a spot, but not the end of the world. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is very airy, modern and I love all the decor, plants and industrial vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do play music pretty loudly which is good for grinding but def needed my noise cancelation headphones for a meeting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered their churro latte iced and it was actually amazing. I didn't end up getting food but there was a constant stream of people ordering and it picked up at lunch so I'd love to return to try.

The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. My new obsession is Matcha tonic and so I was so happy to find this nearby café. The inside of the café is beautiful very tranquil very serene. The barista was so sweet. She helped me place my order as a first timer. They have some seasonal drinks and she recommended that I add in strawberry watermelon into my Matcha tonic, which was great advice. The kombucha was so delicious and probably one of the best I've ever had. I really would love to return for brunch on the weekend some food that I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing.

Spicy buttermilk biscuit. We ate in the store and wanted to order the Benedict from a previous visit. This time, the kiosk showed the full menu but the printed menu at the register only showed a few items and did not show the lunch menu. Enjoyed our decaf iced flat white in a tall glass and the deluxe avocado toast! Unfortunately, the menu item based on the buttermilk biscuit was too spicy to eat due to a hot sauce

After an overnight gong immersion in Costa Mesa, my friend and I were in need of coffee to kickstart our day at 6:30 am. Many coffee shops weren't opening until 8 am, but thankfully, we found MoonGoat Coffee Roasters! What a delightful little shop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is charming with detailed art and a lovely outdoor patio space that makes it perfect for enjoying your drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a flat white and a chai latte, they were fantastic choices! If you're in the area and looking for a great caffeine fix, I highly recommend stopping by MoonGoat. You won't be disappointed!

I wanted to love this place because of all the hype, but as a matcha girl... the matcha just didn't hit for me. My friend did really enjoy her churro latte and cinnamon roll pastry though, so maybe coffee and pastries are the safer move here. Service was a little mid. It was Mother's Day, so maybe the guy working was just overwhelmed or having an off day, but he definitely seemed like he didn't want to be there. The space itself is huge and honestly probably the best part. Tons of seating inside and outside, making it a great place to get some work done or just hang out for a while. The environment was calm and quiet, which I appreciated. I also loved the art pieces on the walls and all the plants they had for sale. They offer a lot of grab and go options plus merch, which added to the overall aesthetic vibe.

    * There is a lot of seating inside and the atmosphere is fun and artsy. * There are lots of public restrooms inside, which is nice. * Their matcha is delicious... however... Their coffee isn't as great (it's definitely on the more STRONG and BITTER side). When we had went, it was very busy and so it took over 30 minutes to get our drinks, and the barista's were very rude taking our order. It was disappointing customer service. hot matcha latte 10/10 Smooth, on the sweeter side but not "in your face." Flavoring was very good and matcha wasn't grassy or grainy - very high quality. iced churro latte 0/10 Unfortunately this drink was super bitter and the espresso was so overpowering that you couldn't taste the flavoring at all. The espresso was too bold for me that I couldn't enjoy it. Tried switching it out for a vanilla latte but ended up having the same negative experience),:

After great anticipation decided to stop by moongoat and try the strawberry watermelon matcha, absolutely delicious. By far my favorite strawberry matcha blend. The cold foam mixed well with the drink and the flavor was very smooth, i didn't taste the artificial syrup like other places. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good open space to work and staff was friendly, definitely coming back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food here was warm and exactly as described. Seasonal drinks, we got the iced lavender blueberry matcha. I also tried the iced churro latte. Staff was fantastic, friendly and efficient They have indoor and outdoor seating. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4.8/5

Stumbled upon this hip and chic coffee house as I had business in the area. Inside is definitely built for studying, working, and quiet collaboration. Everything from the indoor/outdoor seating, communal tables, and "bar" seating. Very nice decor. Didn't even have to deal with a Barista or customer service (Although everyone did seem nice and accommodating) as they have self-serve check point of sale in addition to talking directly. The cold brew was acidic and fruity. Very refreshing. I always like to get a cold brew and pour over to judge a place, and coffee alone, I do think this place is great. They were out of the "recommended on Yelp" avocado toast, so I settled for a BEC on an everything bagel. While it was fresh, and hot, with great cuts of bacon and real egg... this fell a bit short for me. The ingredients were just too small for the bagel. Needed a bit more arugula. It was good, and I wouldn't mind paying $10 for it... just not $13. I would definitely come in here for coffee again... maybe even give the avocado toast a shot, if they have it.

I hold Moongoat in high regard due to their commendable generosity in community donations, active participation in Love Costa Mesa Day, and dedicated efforts to support individuals in recovery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment is tastefully decorated, creating an inviting atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Both the beverages and food are of excellent quality. Personally, I often enjoy their matcha.

Since moving to OC, I've been looking for a regular coffee shop with an atmosphere perfect for studying, doing work on my laptop, or even reading/journaling in the wild. Safe to say MoonGoat may be one of my top cafe contenders! Although parking is very limited (the lot fills up quick), the actual cafe environment is very open with lots of seating available either inside or outside. I stopped by on a weeknight and wasn't surprised to see the place bustling especially with the proximity of nearby colleges. I was able to find a seat outside, but there wasn't an outlet for me to charge my laptop at. Food-wise, I ended up ordering a flat white and a breakfast bagel sandwich. The flat white was really good. The coffee wasn't bitter at all. The breakfast bagel sandwich was okay. Nothing special but I was so hungry in the moment that it didn't matter. I know MoonGoat is a chain, but I really did like this location and can see myself coming back.

Really good espresso with a nice balance of sweetness! I added vanilla syrup to my coffee, and it wasn't overpowering at all -- it blended really well with the espresso. I ordered a large, and it came with four shots, which was a great bonus. Drinks are priced around $6-8, depending on the size and any customizations you choose. Definitely worth it for the quality! The space was really nice too -- plenty of areas to study or just sit and chat. Great atmosphere overall!

I came to MoonGoat Coffee Roasters for the first time after I got off work. I arrived around 5 pm, and there were still plenty of tables and seats to take up. The interior is very cozily lit, and they have a nice bit of music going on as well. I placed my order with the barista, and within a few minutes, I got a hot matcha latte with a cute little swan foam design on the top. The matcha was nice warm and foamy, and filled to the brim of the cup. I took a spot at one of the high stool countertops, which yes, did have a lovely outlet that I used to plug in my laptop and soon got to work. The wifi code was written on the receipt, so if you do want to get some work done without using a hotspot you will have to purchase something. They had an outdoor area, as well if you enjoy a nice breeze better. I think I would have gotten my matcha just a bit sweeter, but other than that, great experience here!

Their coffee is decent. There's no parking. It's a good place to work if you're working on your computer.

Does the costa mesa location have free wifi?

It's not free, you have to buy something and the wifi & password will be on the bottom of the receipt.

Do this place have outlets available?

It has some, but they are limited since this place gets super busy.

What is the parking situation like?

It's really convenient as they have an attached (shared) parking lot. Even though I went on a weekend morning, there was plenty of parking.

Do you still do open mic nights?

We do! Each month we host an open mic night at Docking Station, our event space next door. Keep an eye out on our Instagram for dates and times of upcoming open mic nights as well as additional events!

Are you located in the SOHO shops?

Nope! We have a stand-alone shop visible from placentia Ave as you drive between Victoria and Wilson in Costa Mesa!

Are pets (like dogs) allowed in your coffee shop/restaurant? I was just told by the owner no Pets allowed, just want to confirm, Thx!

We do have a dog-friendly patio, but in compliance with state health code laws we are not able to accommodate non-service animals in our lobby. They are more than welcome to wait with you while you order and wait for your drink, though!

How long can we stay in your coffee shop?Like staying there to study of course after buying coffee ?is it conducive for studying?

Great please to study and work, there is no "time limit" but when you ask for the wifi password it will expire in 1 hour after activation. To be courteous I generally buy another drink and ask for another code, but you may not need to do that. They…

    Are there plugs/outlets?

    Yes

Do they have plugs for outdoor seating?

    They do not currently!

Are dogs allowed inside or only in the outdoor seating area?

Only out doors. You can order with the dog and wait for your drink with the dog but to sit you have to sit outside with the dog.

I ordered the steak and eggs, berries and cream Matcha, and the cookie dough banana bread. My total was about $45. Steak & eggs: 8/10; these portions were big and perfect. The steak had flavor. Tater tots were crispy. Sourdough bread was soft but crunchy on the outside. Eggs were over easy. Berries & cream matcha: 8.5/10; I actually really enjoyed this Matcha. Not sure why it came in a smaller cup than what my cousin ordered, but maybe because I said light ice? I think that is something that should have been mentioned to me that I would get a smaller cup. Otherwise, I liked this matcha a lot. Cookie dough Banana bread: 9/10; this was so good, so soft, so fresh. The only thing I wish is that I would be able to taste more of the cookie dough. I was a bit confused where the cookie dough was at in this banana bread. There were times where I did taste it, but I wasn't too sure. However, it did have lots of flavor and I would probably get the banana bread alone. Overall, I would return. They offer a few seasonal items and a standard menu of lattes, teas, etc. Today I ordered the morning melt and the coconut latte. The coconut latte is delish and tastes like summer. The morning melt is also really good. So many flavors from the egg, turkey, and arugula. Next time I'll opt for the sauce on the side and put a little less so it's not so drippy. Still super tasty! Thanks for providing a relaxing vibe :)

Despite being relatively close to two major colleges - OCC and UCI - this place wasn't as crowded as you'd imagine it would be. They serve coffee, matcha, breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, protein bowls, avocado toasts - but I didn't pick anything to eat since I already had lunch. I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! I checked out the rest of the space and used their restroom to wash my hands - it's really a neat space here. Lots of seating. Lots of space. There's an adjacent room that's connected to the cafe called "Flow Space" - which is utilized for small popups and arts & crafts. Neat spot for smaller community members to showcase their wares. Some of the other reviews mentioned no a/c - which had me worried considering we were having a bit of a heatwave lately - but to my pleasant surprise, A/C was on and cold! It was a great escape from the heat. Free wifi - fast enough for a zoom call if you need to hop into one - my speedtest reported download speeds of 17.5MB/s Restroom is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! Will probably be my go-to considering there's ample workspace, plenty of parking, less crowded than other coffee spots in the immediate area. I'm curious to try their matcha the next time I'm here, as well as possibly their breakfast burritos, since photos for that looks delicious.

Stepping in, the cafe has a lot of seating and I can see how it'd be nice to study in. I ordered Kashimiri Chai and the drink was so light and the cardonom really shines through. Their banana pudding is DIVINE, it is on the sweeter side but it's homemade and you fs tell! They also make their syrups in houseee! I tried the House chai but I ended up prefering the Kashimiri Chai! I'll def be coming back for more since the staff kept raving about their coffee. Sarah and Patrick were the sweetest! Service was top tier, so friendly! and they gave me reccomendations based on my taste. I wasn't familiar with the menu and they gently guided me through my questions.

The bathrooms are also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which always makes a long study session much more comfortable. My only real complaint was the wait time and communication. I ordered a drink and went to sit outside to get some work done. After it took quite a while for my order to come out, a staff member finally came outside to inform me that they had actually run out of yuzu. It felt a little disorganized and off that it took so long just to realize they were out of an ingredient. Despite the awkward ordering delay, the overall environment is excellent. It's a great, clean space to be productive, and I'd definitely give it another chance.

The coffees were a little on the burnt side but the croissants were delicious! Service was very friendly and easy going. The parking lot can be a little chaotic, but they do offer free valet if you cannot find a spot. It was crowded on a weekday morning, so I'd probably stay away from this place on the weekends, but I will definitely come back here again!

Cute Spot, But a Lot of Room for Growth…read more I came to Milligram around 11:30AM on a Saturday after seeing a post about it being a nice spot for pictures. Unfortunately, the patio in the more aesthetically pleasing area does get full so we were not sat there but instead at another patio on the side. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The options for food are plentiful with both breakfast and lunch options. We ordered the Milligram Breakfast and Steak Sandwich. Everything tasted very fresh but the Milligram Breakfast presentation-wise was much better than the Steak Sandwich. I also saw another customer order the Protein Breakfast and it looked amazing! Spices here are very minimal so everything is quite light on the stomach. The service here is what mainly left us feeling poorly about the restaurant. Wait times for food here are long, and it's definitely not a spot to visit if you are in a rush. After we sat down, we had pretty much finished all of the water we were given before anyone had even come to take our order. Then, the food took 30+ minutes, so just know when you walk in that you could be waiting up to 45 minutes for food to hit the table. As well as this, our server seemed a bit overwhelmed or scrambled. We made a to-go order that was brought out in dishware and we had to attempt multiple times to grab her attention for the bill, stretching out an already very drawn out lunch. I think our time would've been better spent somewhere else considering the patio we were sat lacked the aesthetics that were the main draw of coming. If you are looking to catch up with a friend and aren't very hungry, this would be the place for you!
