Located in a shopping center Moon's Kitchen has easy access to parking spaces. Walking in it looks kind of drab and outdated. The menu is straight forward and easy to navigate. The price point IMO is on the higher side for the quality of food I received. The service again IMO was lack luster, I felt like even though the server did a good job, she didn't want to be there serving us. She crossed tithe T's and dotted her I's but that's it. The food was a solid C- The food was sweet did not taste fresh and looked like it was thrown together with leftovers. The Chinese salad was pretty much shredded lettuce with a dressing on top. Overall the food reminded me of old people food, if you know what I mean, aka we came here to eat because the food is inexpensive and we don't care about the quality, because I lost my tastebuds" except in this case the food was also overpriced. To be fair... I did like their mushrooms but honestly that was about it. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately for me it's not my cup of tea.

My family has been coming here for over 25 years. Great fresh food served with love. Small restaurant but worth the wait if there is one.

Excellent. $95 well spent and the service is excellent. They're friendly :) it was my partner's first time here and enjoyed the food. he even liked the salad here!

Super clean restaurant and very friendly staff. The food was amazing and the portion size for lunch was great. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

I can't believe this was my first time trying Moon's Kitchen. It's been around a very long time which is always a good sign. I don't live in the area but family does and they have always given it good reviews. I called in my order and opted for the Combination I which came with chicken salad, shrimp and vegetable tempura, rice and teriyaki chicken. It's not cheap at $19.95 but what is cheap anymore?? It was worth the price, I gotta say. The shrimp tempura were my fav, they were almost pounded thin and flat with just the right amount of tempura. It came with tempura dipping sauce or ranch and I honestly liked both. Teriyaki chicken was really good and on point. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the chicken salad was, so simple but flavorful. I even had leftovers so that $20 meal was two meals for me! I will DEFINITELY return to Moons to try a few other items on their menu. I gobbled up my food so quickly when I got home but I managed to snap a pic of the inside dining room while waiting. Quaint little place that was pretty busy on this Friday night. Great option if looking for Japanese food plus a little more.

Their food was pretty good! Not amazing, but it's somewhere I'd go to again if I am in the area. I ordered unagi, and it was very soft and flavorful. It was a good pairing with miso soup and the salad they serve on the side.

This nice employee wouldn't let my pregnant wife use restroom. Of course I'll buy food during business hours.

It's been great to see them grow with additional locations while maintaining the same high standards. The food is consistently fresh, the banchan is plentiful and well made, the restaurant is spotless, and the prices are very reasonable. The service is always warm and friendly, and you can tell the staff genuinely cares about the restaurant and the experience they provide. This visit we ordered the bibim naengmyeon and the old-style bulgogi--two dishes that aren't as easy to find at many Korean restaurants that tend to focus on BBQ meats and pancakes (which Danbi also does well). Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. Next time we'll definitely be back to try the tofu soups. We also had the chance to chat with the current manager, who is in the process of taking over ownership. She was incredibly sweet, and her excitement, pride, and commitment to the restaurant really came through. It's wonderful to see someone so invested in preserving what has made Danbi special for so many years. We're so happy to have a great, casual, family-friendly Korean restaurant in South San Jose, and it's nice to see Danbi continuing to grow with a Los Gatos location as well. We'll definitely keep coming back.

I have many fond memories of dining here. The food is still excellent. We ordered the tofu and chicken bubbling soup along with the bibimbap, and everything was delicious. The quality of the food is definitely a reason I would return. Unfortunately, the service was very inconsistent. There were two servers during our visit. One was incredibly kind, professional, attentive, and welcoming. She checked on us, offered more side dishes, and was very sweet with my six-year-old son. I even thanked her personally at the end of the meal because her hospitality stood out. The other server, however, made the experience uncomfortable. From the moment we arrived, there was no warm greeting -- we were simply asked how many were in our party. We were seated at a very small table, and when I politely asked if we could move to a larger one since we were ordering multiple dishes with sides and I had my young son with me, she looked visibly annoyed. Throughout the meal, she kept making faces when I asked normal questions about the menu or requested an extra to-go box. These were simple customer requests, and her reactions felt rude and unnecessary. I also noticed that several other reviews mention a woman making faces during service, and based on my experience, I believe this may be the same server. That kind of behavior really affects the dining experience and should be addressed by management. Hospitality matters, especially in a restaurant setting. Good food is important, but customers should also feel welcome and respected. Overall, I would come back because the food was delicious, and the other server was genuinely lovely. However, I hope the owner takes the service concerns seriously. If I return, I would likely ask to be seated with the kind server who made us feel welcome.
