Hey! So this truck has definitely made my weekday lunches way more enjoyable. It's on California Street (just off Montgomery Street) on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunchtime. Head early to avoid lines. I go for their carne asada super burrito. The meat is chopped fine and seasoned on the grill for each order. It's hot, juicy, flavorful, and they use chunks of avocado and sour cream which just adds to that creamy goodness. Who likes a dry burrito, right??! I can't speak for the other meats or tortilla vessels...but give this one a try!! I think it's the best carne asada burrito in FiDi!!

I love tacos, and when I find a place (outside of Mexico) that can serve tacos just the way I love them, I go wow. Today, I tried tacos at Plaza Garibaldy Taco Truck...when I was done, I went WOW!...

All fresh meat, super juicy and flavorful.

Really awesome burritos and amazing tacos! All the ingredients are very fresh and rich in flavor. The guy grills up the meat right in front of you starting from whole cuts of meat so it comes out really fresh and juicy, not like a lot of other places that pre-cook everything. Very generous portions and high quality food across the menu. Definitely give this place a try.

We started with two cocktails: the Mango Tango and the Copa Copa Havana. We weren't huge fans of either at first, nit after a couple sips they definitely did the trick. For our meal, we ordered the ropa vieja, lechón Cubano, pan de bono, and yuca frita. Every single dish was a 10/10. Everything was incredibly flavorful, perfectly prepared, and the portions were generous, so don't be surprised if you leave with a to-go box. I can't wait to come back. From the unique décor and delicious food to the warm, attentive service from the waitresses, this place delivered all around. Definitely 10s across the board!

The steak sandwich had maybe the best first bite of any I have ever had. The beef was crispy at the edges and also flavored with sauce. The middle was decent too, but the edges were sublime. They have three beers on tap. I know I like the two light ones and I took the Firestone Hazy IPA, which made me rethink that I didn't like IPAs. The salads my companions had were huge.

Everything sounds delicious but the sample plates pack the most punch. I love plantains so having those figure prominently, with delicious rice and plant based chicken, is perfect. The service is incredibly fast and easy, and being at Saluhall, you get to take advantage of other vendors and a full a bar. It felt a little quiet on a Friday night but places like Casa Borinquena definitely make it a destination for me. Go now if you've been waiting. Casa Borinquena is not to be missed.

Definitely go upstairs and explore Casa Borinquena. If you're wondering what Market Street has to offer, duck inside IKEA. There are many seating areas. Yes, in addition to IKEA's viral food court, there's so much more. Saluhall opened with all-vegan vendors but things have shifted back to meat and dairy. Case Borinquena is the last standing all-vegan stall. This is Caribbean soul food and it's so good. If you're looking for a salad or something light, this is not for you. This food will fill you up and leave you wanting more. Loaded Tostones is pumped up with nacho-ish toppings. Served with a thick and tasty mama sauce. I was dunking everything into that sauce. I opted for the side of tostones because I was craving the crunchy plantain. It was crisp perfection! Lulu's Famous Pastelillo filled with vegan beef or chicken was another winner for me. The dough was fried perfectly and I loved the chicken filling flavor. Chef's kiss. Coquito cake is on the menu! If you love eggnog, get this right now. I want to return for the sampler plate. At $20, it's cheaper than a flight to Puerto Rico. Pro-tip: first hour of parking is free!

More like a 3.5-star experience for me…read more Came here for a late lunch today. There were a few tables filled, but it wasn't that busy. With that being said, our server wasn't very attentive. We had to flag her down a few times whenever we needed something instead of her checking in on us. We ordered the bistek sandwich and bistek plate. The sandwich was actually really good, although it was a little hard to eat like an actual sandwich because the meat wasn't sliced up. I basically had to eat the steak separately. The sauce it came with aka crack sauce, was SO good. I ended up grabbing a couple to take home because it went well with pretty much everything. Just beware that they charge an extra $1 per sauce. The plantain fries were good, but I wish they were a little crispier. The bistek plate, however, was probably a 3/5 for me. It lacked flavor and just wasn't anything particularly special. We ended up using the crack sauce to give it more flavor. The chicken empanadas were also pretty bland. Overall, the restaurant has a loud, lively atmosphere and the experience was alright. There were definitely some hits and misses, but that crack sauce was easily the highlight!
