The two BEST things about Morettis are: ---the thin crust pizza is consistently spectacular! This might be the best thin crust pizza around - it's always perfectly crispy without making me feel like I'm eating a cracker. It hasn't disappointed me yet and I've probably had it 20 times so that gets three stars on it's own :) ---karaoke on Wednesday nights earns its very own star in my opinion...F.U.N!!! If only the service could be as consistent as the pizza this would be a five star review. For example, three of us waited a good ten minutes at the front door last week before we were even acknowledged by anybody other than the valet guy...I even offered to tip him if he would seat us but he said he really couldn't because he wasn't actually an employee of Moretti's ;-( It was after dinner-time and they weren't very busy so I don't see why we were ignored for so long and if I couldn't already practically taste the pizza I probably would have gone a couple doors down to Edison Park Inn but we stuck it out and our waitress was actually one of the better ones we've had (although she promised us bread and never did bring us any!) but alas these are just the things that I'm willing to put up with for the pizza! Oh, and they have a fun option for the kids to "make their own pizza" where they get to smear some tomato sauce on the rolled-out dough and sprinkle the cheese before it's whisked off to the kitchen to be baked to perfection and returned to the proud little pizzaiolos...good times. read more

Great patio, wonderful pizza (we had the Tuscan Italian pan). We have a 2YO and it seems to be a good place for kids. Had the grilled calamari for an app and it was very good. My only gripe is that this place could have a better beer selection. It has an 80s sports bar vibe to it, which might turn some people off, but I find it comforting as a child of the 80s. read more

I have been going here for years. Their pizza is great (especially the Moretti's BBQ), and their meatball subs are a favorite of mine. They have a LARGE outdoor seating area that is really nice on warmer days. Their setting is great for game days (lots of TVS). We've had a few bad servers when it was super crowded, but for the most part, our dining experience was good. read more

Worst customer service EVER! We were not provided napkins, eating utensils or plates to consume our appetizers! When our pizza arrived it was placed on the pizza holder (with a ketchup bottle directly underneath it) and it toppled to the floor! The waitstaff walked past without offering to assist with the cleanup. Took another 40 minutes to get a replacement pizza! Busboy took our drinks without asking. While attempting to clean our table he dropped garbage on the table along with a used knife! Our server never offered water and never provided us with a refill during our one and a half hour dinner! This was not our first time there but it might be our last time there! They were not busy either, we dined after the dinner rush! read more

Good food and usually always able to get a seat...kids like the make your own pizzas. Really good for kids and they give you a lot to eat.

We live in the neighborhood and order from this place often. They have great pizza and a decent burger as well. I recommend the "Jessica's chicken wrap". They also have a huge outdoor patio area that's great in the summer. read more

Another long-time customer who is becoming frustrated with the decline in food quality at this restaurant was once again disappointed. The wife and I eat here at least once a week and we have been there on three separate Thursday nights over the past two months and to be able to order the "steak and bake" special. Tonight I ordered the the steak and bake special and when I asked if their was any real gravy for the mashed potatoes the waitress replied no. I have asked for gravy in the past and was served the beef juice from Italian beefs pooled in the middle of the mountain of mashed potatoes. The plate turned into a sloppy mess. So I declined the "au jus" and asked for extra butter for the potatoes. The plate arrived with the mountain of mashed and a side cup of butter. I attempted to spread the butter over the potatoes and my first bite told me that the reason the butter wasn't melting is that the mashed potatoes were cold to touch. Sending it back would delay an already long wait for the food. I know it's my fault for ordering the same thing again. Last time the home made "baked" onion soup had enough salt in it to give it the immediate spit out and when the server was told he replied he'd let the kitchen know. Last week the Friday fish fry left me with two small cooked pieces and two gummy battered not fried enough pieces. That too was answered with "I'll let the kitchen know, not replaced or other comment. There are two new Italian restaurants opened recently in the area and one can only wonder if this is the reason for the decline in food quality and lack of patrons or is the quality of the food the reason two restaurants have been able to make a go of it. read more

I had my husband's retirement party here on Friday. I just wanted to say that in addition to the food being fantastic, the staff that worked the party was the best. The bartenders were on top of everyone, no one had to wait for drinks. The young man that was responsible for busing the tables was awesome. Every time I saw him he had a plate/glass in his hand. Not one dirty dish was left on the tables for any length of time. These little things made for such a pleasant experience for every one that attended. If i could leave negative stars I would. I just had dinner here and ordered an extra glass of ice with my drink since it was hot out. After the ice melted in my drink, I found a quarter in the bottom of my glass that I 100% did not put in there myself. At first I did not notice the quarter since the glass was full with ice and only noticed after most of the ice had melted. With everything going on with Covid this was extremely alarming and unsettling especially since money carries the most germs. After asking to speak to the manager, the manager explains that he knows exactly how this happened and even mentions that this has happened before since the register resides next to the glasses. His solution to this health issue was to buy me another drink. No urgency or care was given even when we are in the wake of a pandemic and there was a serious lack of caution by the staff and the establishment. I truly hope that this restaurant takes situations like this more seriously and realizes the potential health risk this could cause. read more

Horrible experience. I'm sitting at the bar while I write this review being ignored by both bartenders. I guess, they don't want tips. Didn't have the best experience at Dinner With Santa. I made a reservation two weeks in advance and made sure to say we need a highchair for a baby and a booster seat. Not my first time making a reservation and I always make sure to say that clearly and more then once. We get there on time and first they can't find my name. After about 5 minutes of searching they are able to find me under my phone number, so where we are good then right? The young hostess then walks us to the back area and wants to sit us at a high top table. I tell her that's not possible as we have a one year old and I said in my reservation that I needed a highchair and booster seat. She sees a male manager (skinny guy who was wearing a xmas vest) to go ask and they are close enough that I can make eye contact with him and see what he's saying and instead of him coming over to apologize or try to think of something he literally shrugs his shoulders and tells his hostess we have nowhere for them. Real nice dude. Send a high school girl to tell customers sorry but not sorry essentially. That really pissed me off so as this poor young hostess is telling us there is nowhere for us to sit I say let me talk to him. She goes scatters away again and then speaks to a female manager who finds a table for us. According to the hostess the female manager was going to come by and speak to us but she never did unless she was the one who took our food order because our server was behind. She never apologized for the error on their end with the reservation. In my opinion even though the food was good and I love the kids concept they always have going on, these managers are ridiculous. Don't send a young girl to do your job. Come talk to the customer instead of just shrug your shoulders. Seriously! read more

We've been ordering from Moretti's in Edison Park for over 11 years. Monday evening we placed an order for delivery. When it was well over an hour and our delivery hadn't arrived (1hr 20 min), we called to find out that the person that took our order entered the wrong address & wrong phone number for our order (she got our cc info right though!). She went on to explain that she tried calling us several times and we didn't answer. Of course she was calling the wrong number. She made us feel as if it were our fault the order was wrong! She said if we wanted our order it would have to be placed again and the wait would be an additional 45 minutes. I asked to speak to a manager and when she placed him on the line I began to speak (in my kind voice) about what happened and before I could finish my first sentence he rudely cut me off stating he was sitting right next to her and heard the whole story and yeah we would have to wait the 45 minutes. He was rude, arrogant, and the fact that we were customers for 11 years meant nothing! No apology from him or his staff just arrogance!!!!! We ended up placing our order with a different restaurant in the area we've never used only to learn that the new place had pizza that tasted MUCH better!!!!!! If the $25 order meant more to Moretti's than 11 years of service then thank you for opening our eyes to the fact that we gave Moretti's 11 years of business they didn't deserve!!!!! Let me tell you how awful the management is there. If a new employee just started was never trained and was thrown onto the floor not quite sure how it all works and accidentally drops a plate or two of food and mind you was told the entire time was doing a great job then suddenly is let go. I live in the area and have been to Mortetti's several dozen times and it was always OK. The beer garden is huge and drinks are good, but the service and food have always been just OK. This past Saturday I went with a friend and our children (4 kids, 2 adults) and honestly I was embarrassed to have brought my guests there. Awful service, waiter took 15 minutes to greet us and then another 10 to bring drinks. BTW...they were out of lemonade and 2 different beers (who runs out of lemonade???). Food was horrible... the Ribs were mediocre, but fries were cold and the waiter just tossed the plate down and said "sorry no coleslaw we are out". I would have expected an offer for something else (side salad, broccoli, whatever). I ate just a few ribs, since fries were inedible. He never came back to check on us... Total disappointment. There are so many good dining choices in EP, Moretti's should not be one of them. :( read more

We order somewhat regularly for delivery and have always enjoyed the pizza. It's one of the better thin crust pizzas and they delivery fast. We were out with the kids and wanted to treat them to dinner out. My 5 year old son wanted to go there. Got a table right away and server promptly came out. Everything was fine until it got a little busy. Then the service seriously flagged. Our server was basically absent for the remainder of our dining experience. After we finished eating, we sat for quite some time before she came back. We had to ask her for a dessert menu (not offered to us) and were told it would take a while because she had to go downstairs to get one. Lucky for us, she actually looked and found one upstairs. I'm not even sure how much time elapsed from when she dropped the menu until when she came back, but it was enough time that I was getting angry and then decided it was just better to leave. I can't even imagine how long it would take to get the dessert if we had stayed. I was waiting with my credit card in hand when she returned and said we'd just like to pay. To any server, this would be a clue that something isn't right. She didn't even flinch. Just took my card and came back with the credit card slip. Interestingly, she didn't give me an itemized bill. At that point, I was shaking my head wondering if they really care about their customers. Good food can't save bad service. That experience will keep me from returning. If she was that far in the weeds, she should have asked for help. Someone who manages the place should have stepped up. Like another reviewer, I get the feeling that they don't really care as they have a pretty good business. Keep up this kind of service and eventually you won't. I was really disappointed. I wanted to have a good time at the end of a great day with my kids and this place sucked some of that enjoyment out. Too bad. read more

After having a baby shower at Moretti's I was beyond disappointed. I have worked in the catering field and I have never experienced worse catering. There was no one monitoring the food, we had to tell the waitress (who was NOWHERE to be found) when the food was low... completely gone... and we got a response, "it will be up shortly"... 25 minutes later it came up cold. There was two small carafes of coffee for 50 people, finding utensils was a scramble, luckily the only person who showed any type of customer service was the bus boy, Connor. The hard to find staff (besides Connor) was rude and acted annoyed! I would highly recommend AVOIDING any type of catering event at Moretti's. read more

Party of 8 today, Thanksgiving. Soup was cold sent it back. We all ordered the turkey dinner. All the food on the plate was cold. Complained to the waitress, she said she could take all the dinners back, but we didn't feel comfortable doing that since the soup that was sent back was barely warm when returned to the table. So we ate some of the cold food. If it had been warm it would have been delicious. We all asked for containers and took most of our dinners home. We had a 1:00 reservation and the restaurant was not busy, so we couldn't understand why the food was cold. Also ordered appetizers which never came. We had to ask for bread even though it was supposed to come with the dinner. Half the table had pumpkin cheesecake, and the rest gelato. The cheesecake was very good even though it was partially frozen and served on very warm plates, the same for gelato. We have been to Moretti's many times but this was not a good experience, especially for Thanksgiving. It's 7pm and am now enjoying a warm meal at home from my left over food. We have been here plenty of times. And before this, my rating would have been a lot higher. But today was the worst service I've ever seen. 1st they spilled ranch and blue cheese all over my son. Then instead of offering something, the waitress just laughs!!! What?? Then my wife asks for sangria. It's takes forever. So then when the waitress comes by , I ask about it and she says I'll bring a water. So the water takes 10' and comes after the sangria. I order a beer and it takes 10-15' to get!!! What a joke!!!! What a way to ruin a regular customer. If rich the manager was here I'm sure he would have taken care of it. But... Gonna b a while before we come back. What a shame read more
