    Meat lovers omelette
    Grace K.

I had meat lovers omelette with hash brown and sour dough toast was delicious. I highly recommend for the price it was so worth it. The peach mimosa was tasty. I think if they had a mimosa flight to keep up with other brunch restaurants would be great. The customer service was great except when I was trying to finish paying it took some time. The other issue was the restaurant was so hot even with the a/c on. It made the dining experience uncomfortable. I probably would not come back when it's hot and the restaurant was small. However, at noon we was able to be seared right away!

This is my mom and dad's favorite breakfast place. They took me with them the other day for breakfast. It's bright yet cozy. There's a large counter that you can eat at or a few tables. They always have a daily breakfast special. I had the chili chilies breakfast skillet. The eggs, were fluffy and the chili sauce was delicious. The staff are all very friendly and they know my parents by name. A huge, thank you for always taking such great care of my mom and dad!

Small little breakfast joint! We enjoyed our food on the patio. Friendly staff, good food. Recommended to try out!

Been here twice already and have a good experience each time. The food is always good and the staff is always fast and friendly. We came when it was slow and another time after church when it was busy. The place is a bit small but haven't had any disappointments. We will keep coming back here for our breakfast needs.

On a rainy Friday morning, I stopped in for a quick breakfast solo as I had some time to wait for the pharmacy to open. I've tried a different location before, and found it to be a decent breakfast. Nothing fancy, but it hits the spot. I was seated right away, though this location is smaller than the other one from what I recall. The service at this location was better, and never had to ask for a refill of coffee. Heck, they even offered me one to go! The veggie cheese skillet was delicious and definitely think something I would order again. The Bloody Mary was decent, but I've had better though for the price point it hits the spot. Overall, the food and beverages were great. It just can be pretty loud since it's a smaller location which would deter me from visiting during high traffic times.

Random stop for takeout lunch. Place is quite small, but has a bigger kitchen than dining room. Good size bar too. Not sure why the takeout container was so greasy, but the food was pretty good. It was a chicken cheesesteak with onions and peppers with some slightly above average onion rings. Chicken was fine, just nothing over the top.

Hidden Gem! We love this spot we have ordered pick up a few times but recently went in, service was great. The weather was super nice out and enjoyed some patio seating. I ordered the banana pecan pancakes super delicious and they were not skimpy on the pecans. My husband ordered the breakfast burger this has been his go to, they also have a delicious fry sauce that comes with it. In previous orders I have enjoyed their biscuits and gravy. Excited to come back and try some more menu items.

This is the secret spot. Wish I wouldn't have told you. I have been here 4 times and every time excellent food and service! Never a wait like the other brunch place around the corner!! The other place 45 minute wait for a mom pop restaurant!! No thanks! This is a small owned business but they manage time and seating perfect. I've never had a Waldorf salad before but OMG this salad was amazing! You can tell everything was cut fresh as it was ordered!! I wasn't hungry hungry and planned on taking leftovers home but ate the whole salad! My son loved the breakfast salad! For sure be back!!

I thought it was very pricy for a table of two. Portions are large, but they truly nickel and dime you for everything. I mean it was almost $3 for a side of ranch- really? Iced teas were almost $5 and it was difficult to track someone down for a refill. It was a bit confusing who our server was because we had three different people visit the table. Glad we got a local joint in the area, but it needs to work out the kinks.

The hostess and the waiter were amazing. We had the pleasure of talking to a cool gentlemen who was a cool native of Phoenix. I traveled from Tucson and wanted to give this Diner a try. Overall I would give this place a 3/5 stars. Huevos rancheros- disappointed it wasn't the traditional salsa bandera (onion, tomato, Jalepeno) but it was good. Different twist with the rib with eggs. The chips were soggy when I got my food. I liked the red onions, it added a little kick to the food on top of what the food offers to begin with. 6/10 Eggs over medium- not too runny how I like it. Velvety, the eggs weren't burnt crispy and was delightful. Meat was umami, savory and tender. Different than what I expected, had a little kick of spice. Beans were dry and bland. Not very impressed. 3/10 Pancakes were okay. A little dry for my taste but they were fluffy. The syrup with it was tasty. 5/10. I enjoyed this restaurant but I think it was a bit pricey for everything we ordered.

But I can judge simply food or filet a trout or chicken and add a homemade beurre blanc sauce. I like simple red wine but relish a Camus anniversary bottle. We eat at hole in the walls and expensive places. But often we look at each other and choose between Dennys or VI, and are happy! Today, May 16th at VI on Signal Butte - rough start by a waitress who told both of us "I need to know your pie order. NOW." Resturant was not busy. Not at all. It was 4:15 maybe. Slow on a SUNDAY post-winter visitor rush on a late Spring day. Rushed. I pointed to my 3-6pm dinner choice of TURKEY. I showed her. "Just as it comes. She repeated it back to me as she typed in into her handheld computer. Chicken fried steak arrived. And a sausage looking oval patty shape of stuffing. Two long finger prints in it. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? I told her I'd eat it. Truly don't like complaining let alone confrontation with a Russian native with a sharp attitude because of a rough life. My nephew is from there so I GET the trauma. and I though I know I can usually switch my palate. But not for this plate of food. I felt sick looking at it. "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Thanked me for being agreeable or something. I nodded. I remember this saying if you l oh someone's attention the first three seconds and first three steps you'll spend the next 30 min trying to make them believe you're hiring. It's true. I was too tired this week to be extremely understanding but I'm never rude. I told my hubby let's both let this one go. And I said "But we won't return here." He nodded in agreement. Because I see people come in and sit down I see how tired they are and make quick calls to be able to turn their day around if only for a short time before they return home....to being a caregiver or to grieve a loss. Just 2 minutes from the ALB airport, this spot hits exactly how you need it to hit when you're either coming off a flight or heading into one: easy, classic, no-frills comfort. I went with the corned beef hash + pancakes breakfast, and it delivered that old-school diner energy. The hash was hearty and filling, eggs cooked just right, and the pancakes? Soft, golden, and exactly what you expect--nothing fancy, just solid. But let's be clear... the real reason you come here is the pie. Village Inn doesn't play about their pies, and the banana cream pie is the headline act. Light, creamy, not overly sweet, topped with whipped cream and just enough texture to make every bite feel intentional. For under $20 a pie, it feels like one of those rare "still worth it" moments in today's food scene. Yes--it's a chain. But this location in Albuquerque shows up like it understands the assignment: quick service, consistent quality, and that nostalgic diner comfort that doesn't try too hard. DISCOVERY SCORE: * Food: * Service: * Value: * Must-Try Factor (Banana Cream Pie): Would I come back? For the pie alone? Absolutely.
