It's going to be a long time before I ever come back here, if ever, and it's entirely because of the service. The guy with the ponytail was unbelievably rude and dismissive from the moment we walked in, and that set the tone for the entire night. And it wasn't just us. He had a bad attitude with every single table. No eye contact, no warmth, just this cold, impatient energy like he couldn't wait for everyone to leave. Every interaction felt like we were an inconvenience just for showing up. We were polite, clear about our order, didn't make any extra requests, but even that didn't seem fast enough for him. When we were wrapping up, he came over, said "Check," and just handed it to us -no "Would you like dessert?" (we did), no "Thanks for coming," nothing. As we got up to leave, he was standing right next to us and still said absolutely nothing. No goodbye, no acknowledgment. Then turned to the table next to us and asked, "Everything okay?" and walked away before they could even respond. The whole thing was so uncomfortable that we just paid and left because dessert, maybe another couple of drinks, finishing watching the game, was absolutely not worth enduring one more minute of that energy. It was disgusting. Yeah they were clearly understaffed, but this, this went way beyond that. Just bad energy and a really unpleasant experience. We love going to Morrison with our kids. We've become friends with many of the regulars as well as the staff. Tonight, our server Cristy was outstanding!!! Super prompt with everything and very welcoming. Bekah is also an incredible server--so helpful, so fast, so wonderful!!! And, of course, Lorena, who has known us since our first born was just a baby and always takes a second when she has one to say hi and check on our kids. We come here at least once a week if not more and these ladies are the best (coming from a former server who can be a tough critic). Jose is also the best runner I've ever seen. He's so great, will always help out with *anything*, and our kids love him. Please keep them forever and never stop doing the Happy Hour and Taco Tuesday! Small request--consider adding some healthier options too? Maybe a grilled salmon and/or grilled chicken breast? 1 star -- Worst service I've experienced in a long time I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was just too disappointing not to share. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was off. The server who greeted us had an attitude from the jump -- no smile, no warmth, barely said a word while seating us. It felt like we were bothering her just by showing up. Things only got worse from there. After waiting a long time to place our order, our food finally came out -- and it was cold. Not lukewarm, not room temp. Cold. We flagged it right away, politely, and instead of offering to make it right, the server got defensive and borderline rude. No apology, no accountability, just attitude. The food itself might've been decent if it were served fresh, but at that point, the whole experience left a bad taste -- literally and figuratively. We ended up leaving most of the food untouched and walked out feeling disrespected and disappointed. I've worked in hospitality, so I know how tough this industry is -- but this was unacceptable. Take out order was wonderful this time! Placed the order via telephone with the bartender and everything was correct... and I had a lot of adjustments to the large order. Street parking was easy on the Sunday evening I visited. Service was great. The bartender even called me to let me know my order was ready because I was running late. She was awesome! It was Friday and Happy Hour was on my mind, so when the lovely Te-See B asked if I wanted to meet at The Morrison I said, "Yes!" I've been to the Morrison in Atwater and really enjoyed it. However, I have never been to the Burbank location despite driving by it numerous times. The Burbank establishment is a little more laid back. The back patio area is family oriented and dog friendly, while the inside is a place to relax, have a cold one, and watch the game after a hard day. There are also TVs in the patio. It's covered and there are fans to keep you cool. I love that dogs are welcome and they even bring a water bowl and dog biscuits for your pup. All the pooches were well behaved, and it was a joy to see them. Lola, our server, was delightful. She got us started with the special cocktail - a Blood Orange Margarita. It was light and refreshing and perfect for the hot summer day. We both decided to get the Blvd Salad. It was a great choice! The mixed greens were fresh and I loved the combination of the dried cranberries, goat cheese, and candied walnuts together. This salad was so yummy, and it paired well with the cocktail. Happy Hour is daily from 3 - 6 pm. Select food & drink are $9. Draft beers $6. Sadly couldn't finish them being so overcooked. A bit disappointing -Mac n Cheese, huge portion which is great, but this fell flat as well. The menu said it was supposed to have shallots, jalapeños, tapatio, garlic....I got none of this sadly. Was a bit on the cold side. Tucked in a neighborhood so neighborhood parking surrounding is free with a bit of street parking. Overall the food was underwhelming (especially for a $30 bill) and nowhere near what reviews had said. Maybe I got the wrong things at the wrong time? It was a great surprise to come out to Morrison here in Burbank. The place is cozy and the staff is friendly. Feels like a place you go and make friends. Just one big open space. We had some drinks that kit the spot and a few dishes that were better than the typical bar food. I don't know if I had bad luck with the cookies, but they said its usually soft and chewy, but these were hard as a rock. I like the Atwater Village location so I had no reason to think that I would not enjoy the Burbank spot. It's not as big or as homy, but the vibe is still good. They have a nice cocktail list, good desserts and the usual appetizers, salads and sides you come to expect today. But, the Morrison is really all about craft Burgers & Beers. Truffle Burger w/Truffle Fries. It's a big Angus patty, Blue Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Mushrooms, Truffle Oil and Truffle peelings. It's a very tasty burger (it better be at $20.00) and the Truffle flavor is strong. The Truffle fries are good but the extra truffle flavor isn't there. The Morrison Fries are just fine for me. We also had Happy Hour Potato Skins. They are loaded with cheese, sour cream and bacon bits. This is a meal by its self. The service is friendly and accommodating, and the bar is comfortable. The Happy Hour menu is great and there are a lot of choices available if you don't feel like a burger. Morrison is a great spot for watching the game, while enjoying tasty food and drinks. This place has become a family tradition for myself and my family. Every year I come here after the zoo lights and the food never disappoints. As well as the staff. Everyone here is welcoming and surprisingly great with kids.. (considering it's mainly a bar type restaurant). This year, we were served by the greatest Dani! She was pleasant, informative, and delightful to have as our waitress. My husband ordered the bbq burger, which was juicy and filed with bbq flavor but not overwhelming, and I ordered the truffle burger, which is definitely my go-to burger every time. My kids had the hot dogs and sliders and even had room for the rocky road and horchata ice cream.. (yummy, taste just like it, 2 thumbs up) I and my family will most definitely be back! What a great spot! I went on a Friday night recently but have been here before for brunch and dinner. Friday night was great. A great feature about this restaurant is they have an inside restaurant and an outside patio. You don't have to go inside to get seated in the patio! The inside is nice. The bartenders are always friendly. The drink menu is unique and they are delicious. FYI on the inside seating- not a lot of booths. You will sit on chairs, high tops, and not all chairs are padded. My friend and I had high hopes for Morrison after reading the rankings that are posted on its website, but both of us agreed that while Morrison has good burgers, they are not great, nor are the best in LA. This place has a few pros and cons. The space itself is pretty cool and feels like a pub should feel and they have massive TV's, definitely would be a cool place to watch a game. The food itself is where it gets....just ok. We got the pretzel which was really good but maybe just ask them to go easy on the butter. We also got the jumbo onion rings and they were just flat bad, way too deep fried that when you bite into them it melts into grease. We also got the bread pudding and cookies and ice cream, which the bread pudding was good but got too sweet after a few bites and the cookies and ice cream was not good. The beer selection is great, you won't be disappointed. The service was also good, no complaints. I did notice on the menu they have a 3% surcharge due to inflation to pay their employees. That always irks me the wrong way, it's not up to the customer to pay your employees a living wage, it's the owner. Patrons are already generous in giving tips but being asked to pay more?
