Great pub food, good service. Good for lunch or dinner, my favorite is the homemade pastrami sandwich!

Never stopped in before and have been by it many times. Well Me and the wife finally did and it was well worth the stop! Love the casual pub like atmosphere, service was great, food & drinks were also very good and the prices were quite affordable. Not sure what else to say other than we will be back. So give them a try & Enjoy!

Stopped by Morrissey's front porch on our tour of New Hampshire and it did not disappoint! When you walk in the door, it's like you've stepped back a century. They have kept all of the old charm of the place while making the upgrades needed in the care and attention to detail really show. We were greeted by our server, Jessica, who is just the absolute sweetest and gave us the whole history of the place. She was super knowledgeable and had the best stories. And now the absolutely phenomenal food. We got the shepherds pie and clam chowder. I'm always skeptical. When I see someone say they have an award-winning clam chowder but this one definitely lives up to the hype. it was creamy and rich, and had all of the hallmarks of a normal clam chowder, but included extra flavors that made it stand out. I can't tell you exactly what it was, but it was one of the best claim chowders I've ever eaten. The shepherds pie was equally as good. The vegetables were fresh and the crust on top was so comforting. I would highly recommend you make this place a stop on your trip and if you're a local that you come back time and time again because I wished I lived closer to this place!!!

Great spot! Morrissey's Porch & Pub has awesome comfort food and a relaxed vibe. Our waitress Sidney was super friendly and on top of everything. The beer-battered haddock was crispy, not greasy, and so fresh. Loved the mac and cheese and shrimp scampi with broccoli too. We'll definitely be back!

Went for dinner there and was very good. Definitely hit the spot for comfort food. Was nice and close to the motel we we're staying at.

Exceptionally inattentive and poor service. Food is less than mediocre at best and pricey.

But this cool, historic tavern is still alive and well! Come show some local support. We are Rhode Islanders, and have been coming up here for almost 40 years, and this place holds a dear, sweet place in our heart. We did not partake in food this time around, but it looked and smelled amazing. The drinks/wine were wonderful. Give them a shot! You won't be disappointed!

I'm going to assume it was the bartender, who was shockingly rude, sarcastic, and disrespectful, to say the very least. Not my first experience with this bartender either. The bartender's and server's at Wolfe's Tavern are absolutely horrible. They have reprehensible attitudes and are colossally rude to customers. I asked for a simple clarification of their operating hours. This man was indignant and impolite, calling me out for bringing a discrepancy to his attention!! Uh..what?! I've been a resident of Wolfeboro, NH, for 70 years. This establishment once stood as the landmark for elegant dining, professional and competent administration and staff, and was respected throughout the Lakes Region. You once had an Executive Chef named "Hoke" many, many years ago...a quintessential gentleman with great culinary expertise, who frequently would come out of the kitchen, go table to table, introduce himself to all the patrons, and ask them if their meals were up to their liking. This man "made" The Wolfeboro Inn, almost singlehandedly. When he resigned because of a difficulty with management, the place plummeted...nearly overnight. Fast forward to August, 2025, and it is now worse than ever. I'd recommend Dunkin' Donuts on Center Street, or The Bay Diner on Main ahead of here. It's no wonder today's bartender refused to give his first name...no doubt fearful of this review(!) or one in The Granite State News, aka "The Grunter."

Haddock was cooked perfectly and the fries that came with it were great (I enjoyed their honey mustard which you can request on the side). We visited on Friday night and sat at a table as the bar seating was pretty packed. Crowd was pretty chill - a mixture of people in their 20's having drinks & apps, and then older couples/families enjoying dinner. We were happy to see Smithwicks on the draft menu, and we also got a Downeast cider with a caramel/cinnamon rim. We ordered the house made mozzarella sticks, which were ginormous, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and all around delicious. We all opted with different types of burgers - sliders, fried chicken, and a pub burger. All were served with fries and were perfectly cooked. The coating on my fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. Service was awesome - our glasses were never left empty! Best of all, Dwyers has a free jukebox packed with favorites. Looking forward to coming back on our next visit to Portsmouth - we'll definitely be trying the deviled eggs, wings, and fried oreos!
