The food is super fresh. I spoke to the owner and he's very knowledgeable in the food industry. Owned his own restaurant before but got tired of the brick and mortar so partnered up with his actual chef who's worked in top tier restaurants to come up with this simple yet delicious menu. Service was great. The lobster meat was well loaded in the roll. You can taste the freshness of the meat. Owner cares about the food he serves. Anything more than a day old if there's lobster left, they donate it as quality is their top priority. The flat seasoned fries was crispy and not too thick. Uniquely made and a great pair with the lobster roll. I'd definitely come back! The rolls are strictly made to order, and they have two styles -- Maine made with mayo, and Connecticut made with butter. Mom and I have tried them twice -- Maine style both times. The first time, we felt they were too heavy-handed with the chives that get mixed in with the mayo and Maine lobster meat. So when I went back today, I asked them to go easy on the greens. Today's sandwiches were perfection -- plenty of lobster meat, the right ratio of mayo to lobster, and just the right amount of celery and chives. Not sure what led to the inconsistency in how he treats customers. The lady who handed me my food was very kind though. Additionally, while the menu does specify what the rolls come with in terms of sides, their website and food truck displays pictures of their rolls with fries and coleslaw, however, you would need to purchase these separately. This feels misleading if you were to visit their website prior to coming to the food truck or ordering after a quick glance at the displayed pictures. As a local, I was thrilled to discover a lobster establishment in Morro Bay. We have great fried fish options and sushi, but as a lobster lover I craved having a high quality lobster roll place nearby. While I was satisfied with my food, the service did not leave me wanting to come back for more, despite initially going into this experience planning to return to try the other lobster roll style. Maybe I caught the owner on a bad day considering the other reviews are quite positive, so take my experience as that: just one person's experience on a Friday afternoon. If you've ever been to Cousins Maine Lobster truck this seems to be a copycat, that's unfortunate for me missing the mark. This was our first time trying this and was a little disappointed. The price was a little high for a lobster roll, but it was a big roll with lots of lobster worth the price if the flavor was there. However I honestly couldn't taste the lobster since there was so much salt sprinkled on top of the roll. It has a lawry's seasoning sprinkled on top of the roll which is overkill. I suggest if you try the rolls here and are prone to salt migraines maybe ask them to not top the roll with the seasoning. I have to say I hadn't even made it 30min and my migraine had already started. The roll tasted unfortunately like nothing but salt to me. We tried both rolls Maine and Connecticut roll as well as a shrimp mini they were all so salty. We couldn't even finish it, and decided to toss it out it was so salty. So I'd have to say it was a no for me. I'm sure it's good but they really have to lay off the salt on the top of the rolls and they may actually be good. The fries were actually good and not too salty, it was about the only thing my husband ate. The lady taking our order seemed nice and the food came out quickly, there are tables to sit nearby so it has the potential to be something nice. I'd say maybe just quit the salt on top. read more

Made a 3 hr and 36 minute ride from LA just to try this place. And it was PHENOMENAL! Thank you Patrick, Lydia, and Adam for a stellar lunch. Lydia greeted us with such an upbeat attitude that is know to be found in Morro Bay. We got our food and started devouring our warm , dripping in butter goodness immediately. But the star of the show is the coleslaw! Never seen fruit on slaw but babbbyyyy it paired so well with the vinger based slaw. It was super fresh crunchy yet marinated perfectly.
