We started off with the Mardi Gras shrimp, which were incredibly tasty and flavorful. The bread service was also delicious. The bread was sweet, freshly baked and accompanied by a sweet cinnamon butter as well as a savory butter that was my favorite. Next we had the A5 Wagyu and scallop sashimi. Both dishes were prepared to perfection. The porterhouse, however, stole the show. It was, without a doubt, one of the best steaks I've ever had. While I typically order my steak medium rare, I decided to try it rare since it comes on a hot plate and it did not disappoint. The crust was salty and delicious, creating a perfect contrast to the tender, juicy interior. The truffle fries were great too, very crispy and seasoned. The truffle butter, which I paired with the steak was amazing! I was nervous because of the lack of reviews and of how new they are but was pleasantly surprised. The overall rating that I gave Morrow's Steakhouse is just that, an overall rating. Back in mid October, I booked reservations for a party of 12 for my husband's 40th birthday on Sunday, 12/28 at 8:15 pm. Because this was a large party, a non refundable deposit was submitted (that would later be taken off of the bill), and we were made aware that we would be provided a grace period of 15 minutes after our reservation time to be sat. On Sunday, the last two guest arrived at the restaurant at 8:17 pm & we were told to wait at the front of the restaurant while our table was being put together (while it was EXTREMELY hot). We finally were sat after waiting around 20-25 mins AFTER our scheduled reservation time. Once seated at the table, we were sat in one large booth that comfortably sat probably around 10 people & the table was sat for 11 people. Because the restaurant was crowded, we made due with two of the men sitting on the corner end of the restaurant table. Our server was Nick. He handle us by himself & I have to give him his props because, he handled the table very professionally. The table ordered an assortment of mixed drinks, along with appetizers, & food. When the food came out I was extremely surprised by not only the taste but the freshness of EVERYONES food. I definitely didn't think that would be an easy task. All in all, I think everyone should RUN & not walk to Morrow's Steakhouse; but, maybe think twice before coming with a large party. The max party that seems optimal there is around 6 ppl. read more

This steakhouse is ran very well. The decor and ambiance puts you at ease but it still has an upscale feel to it. You are not allowed to wear baseball caps inside which was a surprise for me. Good thing I had a haircut that day or I would've been looking rough on my date night. I don't like the fact that you are not able to talk with a live person when trying to call the restaurant but if you are making reservations over the phone it can only be a party of 7 or more but that is not a person at the restaurant but a call center and they are not accurate with the information they tell you. That part was very frustrating. Despite the phone frustration , the service at the restaurant is top notch. The general manager walked the floor making sure everyone was taken care of and the waitress was pleasant and even provided recommendations for other places to visit while in New Orleans. I wasn't a fan of the seafood Mac and cheese because it tasted like they used to much sharp cheese. Many people at the restaurant seemed to enjoy it though. However the bread is incredible and the sweet potato cheese cake is a must have. My wife tried the gumbo which she enjoyed. I like the Asian fusion with the steak house combination. I'm only giving it a 4 star because I really didn't try the main course meals and just a few appetizers so my food selection is limited and I don't want to be too critical until I give it another shot. This was my first time in New Orleans, and Morrow Steak came highly recommended. I went on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all, and I was able to be seated promptly at the bar. The ambiance was great. The bartender, Earl, made a really good Old Fashioned. I ordered the Taco Trio and baked potato. The flavors didn't exactly blow me away, and I left wishing the food was more satisfying. The menu is pretty impressive so I'm guessing/hoping that I just ordered something that wasn't a fan favorite. I have been to Morrows multiple times. In a city like New Orleans, which is blessed with hundreds of good restaurants, going to a restaurant multiple times is a pretty good endorsement. We are truly spoiled because even the notorious hospital cafeterias can pass as gourmet restaurants in other cities as our food workers are still producing their grandma's recipes. Recently, a family member from California made reservations for 3 at Marrows. Unfortunately, one restaurant f the 3 fell ill and couldn't participate. We arrived on time and informed the host. He told us that our reservation would be null/void because they reserved a table for four and he could not seat two at that table and we would have to wait for 90 minutes to be seated. After some discussion, another hostess seated us but this definitely spoiled our enthusiasm and experience. Additionally, our waiter was also not very attentive. So Morrows received a one star on the service. It seems that they have been very successful and opened a new steak restaurant, which may have resulted in taking their eyes off the ball. Also, the table was sticky and the bathroom could be cleaner. Their food is good but there are a lot of restaurants in the city with great red beans and rice, fried chicken etc. Their staff is in desperate need of inservice. read more

Our server, Ann, took awesome care of us. She is so sweet & knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations! We shared a bottle of rosé, but next time we want to try their cocktails. We started with the turduckhen dumplings- I'd seen a few reviews on here before we went, raving about them & they were delicious. Next we split the Caesar salad- this was my least favorite only because there was too much dressing. Next we ordered sushi; we got the wagyu nigiri that melted in the mouth, the Mano roll, the Hokkaido roll & Salmon/tuna sashimi. They were delicious but the jalapeño was too spicy for me. For our main course we shared the lamb chops, medium rare. They were cooked to perfection & had wonderful flavor. We also got broccolini on the side. My husband and I dined at Morrow Steak for our anniversary. There was a short wait when we arrived, so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I took in the ambiance as we sat there. It is beautifully decorated and intimate with an upscale vibe and romantic aesthetic. The music was nice but a little louder than expected, adding to the moderate noise level. Our drinks were great. He had the Old Fancy which was very boozy. I had the Desire Sidecar which was visually appealing, delicious, and boozy. The hostess arrived to seat us shortly after we got our drinks, but we had to pay the bar tab before we could go to our table. There isn't much space between separate tables, but we had nice neighbors who were also celebrating their anniversary and gave us their food recommendations. We ordered the flaming tomahawk 4-course meal from the Valentine's menu. It was $275 and included a caesar salad, Mardi Gras shrimp appetizer, tomahawk steak (came with Morrow steak sauce, truffle butter, and my fave chimichurri), broccolini, garlic mash, and a slice of Mardi Gras cheesecake to share. Sadly, they must've ran out of the chocolate covered strawberry cheesecake. We ordered more drinks - Pinot Noir for hubby and a sangria for me. The sangria was pretty and tasty, but not boozy. The steak came out flaming, as described. Our server Janae was excellent. She cut some leaner slices for me and continued to cook them on the hot plate since I don't like fat and wanted medium well, but hubby loves medium cooked fatty steak. The steak was delectable.
