Had a great time at Morrows. The service as soon as you walk in was very welcoming. The restaurant is decorated real nice which creates nice, cool and relaxing vibes. I wish I could give 10 stars. Food, Ambiance and Service excellent. My background is 25 years in restaurant management. Our server Theles was the best server I've had in recent memory. And we frequently go to different restaurants weekly. His attention to detail and detailed descriptions of each section of the menu and gave amazing suggestions. My steak came out perfect and I gave him specific instructions. Nailed it. He made our experience Halloween weekend special. Me and my wife were on a mission to experience all of the Marrows restaurant locations and This was by far our favorite experience. The ambiance was perfect with a great music selection at the perfect volume. The manager on duty, on 10/31. Excellent. He was very present and engaging with all of the guest and help to turn table. We were seated so close to a party of people that I had to say excuse me and squeeze between the tables to sit down. Once seated, the waiters assistant came and gave us water. After that, we were ignored for about the next thirty minutes. The point of us going at 5:30 was to partake in happy hour as well as order off the regular menu. We felt as if the staff was purposely trying to make the time run out so we could pay full price. About 3 servers walked past us as well as a supervisor I believe. It wasn't until my friend flagged down the supervisor to tell her issue. She apologized but it was too late. We left very annoyed and unsatisfied. I won't be back! I have been to Morrows multiple times. In a city like New Orleans, which is blessed with hundreds of good restaurants, going to a restaurant multiple times is a pretty good endorsement. We are truly spoiled because even the notorious hospital cafeterias can pass as gourmet restaurants in other cities as our food workers are still producing their grandma's recipes. Recently, a family member from California made reservations for 3 at Marrows. Unfortunately, one restaurant f the 3 fell ill and couldn't participate. We arrived on time and informed the host. He told us that our reservation would be null/void because they reserved a table for four and he could not seat two at that table and we would have to wait for 90 minutes to be seated. After some discussion, another hostess seated us but this definitely spoiled our enthusiasm and experience. Additionally, our waiter was also not very attentive. So Morrows received a one star on the service. It seems that they have been very successful and opened a new steak restaurant, which may have resulted in taking their eyes off the ball. Also, the table was sticky and the bathroom could be cleaner. Their food is good but there are a lot of restaurants in the city with great red beans and rice, fried chicken etc. Their staff is in desperate need of inservice. read more

My Mom & I have been to (and love!) Sun Chong, Morrow's & last night she treated me to dinner here for my 34th birthday; we both left fat & happy! Walking in, you're captivated by the amazing layout & decor. The ceilings are super high, and the design is absolutely gorgeous. Whoever designs their restaurants is very talented! Our server, Ann, took awesome care of us. She is so sweet & knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations! We shared a bottle of rosé, but next time we want to try their cocktails. We started with the turduckhen dumplings- I'd seen a few reviews on here before we went, raving about them & they were delicious. Next we split the Caesar salad- this was my least favorite only because there was too much dressing. Next we ordered sushi; we got the wagyu nigiri that melted in the mouth, the Mano roll, the Hokkaido roll & Salmon/tuna sashimi. They were delicious but the jalapeño was too spicy for me. For our main course we shared the lamb chops, medium rare. They were cooked to perfection & had wonderful flavor. We also got broccolini on the side. Shoutout to Ann, Rico (the manager), the chefs & the whole crew for an amazing dining experience! We can't wait to visit again. My husband and I dined at Morrow Steak for our anniversary. There was a short wait when we arrived, so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I took in the ambiance as we sat there. It is beautifully decorated and intimate with an upscale vibe and romantic aesthetic. The music was nice but a little louder than expected, adding to the moderate noise level. Our drinks were great. He had the Old Fancy which was very boozy. I had the Desire Sidecar which was visually appealing, delicious, and boozy. The hostess arrived to seat us shortly after we got our drinks, but we had to pay the bar tab before we could go to our table. There isn't much space between separate tables, but we had nice neighbors who were also celebrating their anniversary and gave us their food recommendations. We ordered the flaming tomahawk 4-course meal from the Valentine's menu. It was $275 and included a caesar salad, Mardi Gras shrimp appetizer, tomahawk steak (came with Morrow steak sauce, truffle butter, and my fave chimichurri), broccolini, garlic mash, and a slice of Mardi Gras cheesecake to share. Sadly, they must've ran out of the chocolate covered strawberry cheesecake. We ordered more drinks - Pinot Noir for hubby and a sangria for me. The sangria was pretty and tasty, but not boozy. The steak came out flaming, as described. Our server Janae was excellent. She cut some leaner slices for me and continued to cook them on the hot plate since I don't like fat and wanted medium well, but hubby loves medium cooked fatty steak. The steak was delectable. I enjoyed the side dishes and dessert too. The attention to detail and presentation of everything from decor to glassware to cocktails and food was noteworthy. The service was super nice and location is great-- located in the CBD so very convenient to everything! I went up there and was told they were taking reservations and we couldn't be seated because it was going to be a long wait and they close at 10. We ordered the filet, seafood Mac (sooo good) mushroom pasta, wagyu tacos truffle fries, broccolini. Everything is ala cart. My mushroom pasta was a four out of five good flavor well seasoned, but was missing sauce. It was a little dry the filet was good nothing spectacular, but the seafood mac & cheese was the winner of the show. Almost didn't order it but so glad that we did. The Wagyu tacos were fine. Our bartenders were awesome they made our night amazing. They were fun and attentive. I know one name was Earl. I can't remember what the other guy's name was, but I think he had French braids in his hair. This was Friday 27th around 8pm. Now that that's out the way service and poor lackluster unenthusiastic unwelcoming and very unpleasant the reservation that was made magical disappeared so instead of being seated at 9 our party was seated separately on opposite side's of the restaurant i had to ask for water then I asked for ice for my water then a straw to drink my water and I understand there is a slight dress code in this UPSCALE establishment but there is a way to ask respectfully to remove your hat of which they are clearly not aware of and lastly the old BILL DUCK lookin ass guy needs loosen up both his demeanor and entire suit because they both made the experience uncomfortable and claustrophobic read more
