Bread . Reminds me of Texas Roadhouse vibes
    Shazia W.

A few friends and I went last night and OMG. I will be dreaming about that bread FOREVER. The bread gave off Texas Roadhouse vibes, but 1000 times better. Let's say I could eat that bread alone and not feel one bit guilty. We had the shrimp appetizer, we also got the cauliflower. Don't sleep on these. For my dinner I got the salmon with crab meat on top! OH MY! My friend got the stuffed chicken and that was delicious! All so flavorful. Everything was cooked to perfection. If you have never been please add this to your list. I absolutely LOVE this spot! The server that I had, Erica, was AMAZING! She was attentive but not overwhelming. This girl was on it! The kind of service you get at fine dining in the quarter is what comes to mind! I already know what I'm getting next time !

Had a reservation and still had to wait over 15 mins for a seat. Didn't love that. It's super dark inside so it's hard to read the menu without using your phone for light. The decor is gorgeous inside.. Ok now to the food, the food was really good. My husband had the king salmon with the colossal crabmeat Oscar added. His salmon was cooked to perfection and the crabmeat was delicious. I ordered the stuffed chicken breasts with the garlic mash. The chicken was really good, I could have used a little more seasoning on the mash.. but it wasn't bad. My sister had the lamb chops and she mentioned they were also cooked to perfection, my brother had the steak and had to pay $9 for steak sauce (that was a little high for a little thing of sauce) but he did say it was good.. all in all we had a good meal..

It's located downtown New Orleans so parking can be tricky. We found a parking garage for @$8 per hour. Some of our party party's in the street. We visited for a surprise birthday party this weekend. We had a very large party (13) and we were seated near the back. They won't seat you until the majority of your party arrives. We had a variety of food choices and I chose the Ribeye steak and my wife had the salmon and we shared the seafood Mac n cheese. The table shared 3 Parker breads shaped like a large flower. It was soft, warm and delicious. The service was pretty good as we only had one waitress. The food was exceptionally delicious. Just fyi they charge for everything ( steak sauce, truffle butter etc). I would definitely return in the future.

We ended up here by accident. We were attempting to go to another restaurant with a similar name. But ended up here and decided to stay. Upon arrival we were immediately seated. The dining room is large and very modern. The music was a little loud for a steakhouse but definitely was a vibe with a mix of new and old school r&b. The menu had something for everyone. They did have gumbo but only seafood gumbo which was slightly disappointing. We ordered an array of appetizers and cocktails. The bar was very slow especially given the restaurant was not packed. But our server was amazing so it was forgiving. One of my dining companions felt their food was a bit undercooked for their liking and it was promptly addressed with the kitchen manager or chef coming to the table displaying an above and beyond attitude and willingness to make it right. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The portions were generous and we all left with a take home container. The desserts were phenomenal. It was my first time having Ube which was a cheesecake flavor offered by the restaurant and the crème brûlée was a table pleaser. I definitely recommend!

My girls and I dined at marrows for my friend 40th birthday. We were promptly seated and our server was very helpful and attentive The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the RnB playing throughout. I ordered the seafood Mac and cheese and a steak. Seafood Mac was shareable and tasty. My steak was on the cooler side but decent. My friend said the same about her steak. My other friend mentioned that her entree needed salt. The crab cakes were tasty and the shrimp were ok. I did not care for the gumbo at all. Very expensive restaurant so I expected a little more. I gave 4 stars based on my meal only (more like a 3.8-4)

10/10 enjoyed this restaurant. We came for dinner and although we didn't have a reservation they were able to find us a table pretty promptly. Great service, our server was friendly and made great suggestions. We ordered steaks cooked to perfection. The food was delicious and flavorful. Beautiful decor. I look forward to returning here whenever I visit again.

First, the establishment is a vibe. Some people would complain about the music being too loud, but for me, it was fine. I didn't come to dance. I came to eat. The cowboy rib eye was cooked to perfection (medium) and lay in that sauce. YUM!! They don't have any A1 sauce. But it didn't need it either. I'm just a sauce snob. The staff was so friendly. The place was so beautiful. It's definitely one of those places where if you wanna have a nice steak dinner, that's where you go! Even the bathroom was beautiful

Loved Morrow Steak! The decor and ambiance are upscale and really nice, definitely gives that classy, date night vibe. Metered parking was super convenient, right outside the restaurant. The food was amazing from start to finish. The brioche was warm and buttery, the Kung Pao cauliflower had the perfect kick, and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the drinks were on point too. Overall, great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here! The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was great, and the food was amazing too. We started with the surf and turf roll; it was hands down the best surf and turf roll I've had and the bar was set from there. As an entree, I had the 8 oz. filet + chimichurri and sun butter shrimp. The creole butter sauce was slightly oily and was not loaded with flavor, but it still enhanced the steak as it was supposed to. For sides, the seafood mac and cheese as well as the broccolini were decent choices. The mac and cheese could've used a bit more seasoning. We also had the off-menu praline beignets that were delicious! Overall, the sushi was still the star of the show! I can't remember the names of the drinks, but one was essentially a rum punch - delicious! And the other was veryyyy good as well! This was truly a dining experience as everything had some aspect of a performance to it, which I always enjoy.

This was a hard review. There are just as many things that I like about this place and things I don't care for. This place is absolutely beautiful. So many cute things added to make this place worth taking pictures in and of. The staff was wonderful. Even the other customers had such a good vibe. The food however was not worth the price when it comes to taste. It was not well seasoned like I'm use to New Orleans food being. The portion size was huge. It was literally enough food for 2 people. All that aside I would much rather one portion of amazing food over 2 portions of ok food. I definitely want to try his other restaurants.

This restaurant absolutely lives up to the hype! From the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted by the hostesses to being escorted to your table, everything feels special. I definitely recommend making reservations because it gets busy quickly. We started with the fluffiest rolls you could imagine. For appetizers, we tried the Mardi Gras shrimp and cauliflower bites--both were delicious. Our entrées included the stuffed chicken with broccolini and the special of the day, a cowboy ribeye paired with a lobster tail. Everything was seasoned so perfectly that the lobster didn't even need butter sauce. Dessert was the star of the show: the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever seen, and it was absolutely to die for! The portions are generous--perfect for sharing. The drinks were also fantastic, with the Jazzy Julia Punch being my personal favorite. On top of the food, the service was excellent. Our servers were attentive, and the manager made it a point to stop by every table, which added a personal touch. Overall, Morrow's delivered on every level and I can't wait to go back! The restaurant had amazing ambience.

seafood mac and cheese 9/10. absolutely loved it.
    Johnny D.

We went here on a Sunday evening for dinner. Parking was pretty easy, as there is street parking readily accessible. We were lucky enough to get a spot right out front. We were greeted at the door and the staff seemed very attentive. We were then walked to our table. I immediately noticed 1. that the decor in the entire space was very aesthetic and 2. that the music was quite loud. I think the music could have been turned down just a bit, it would still keep the lively feel but I could better hear my partner and our server. Out of everything we ordered, I really liked the seafood mac and cheese. It was 10/10 I wouldn't have changed anything. There are some pretty big chunks of garlic, so if you're not a big garlic fan, beware. The ube cheesecake was great though it had a slightly strong salty taste. I did like that they offered an ube cheesecake, as I thought this was very unique. Overall, our experience at Morrow Steak was pretty nice. It's definitely worth stopping by just make sure to set a reservation. We also previously really enjoyed their sister restaurant, Morrows.

    Steak and eggs brunch
    Christy W.

I always have a great time at Morrow Steak! I made reservations and brought some out-of-town friends for brunch, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We had the steak and eggs, lobster mac, sushi roll, cheesecake, salmon, fresh bread, and plenty of cocktails, including the blueberry martini and peach bellini. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere felt like an elevated brunch experience. We were also glad to enjoy dinner items at brunch since we wanted a little of everything. I've also been for happy hour and dinner and enjoyed those visits just as much. I've had the pasta, and Wagyu steak flight. I've sat at the bar and the bartenders aim to please! The only downside is that on two occasions I've ordered the gumbo and the rice was overcooked/mushy, which I hope gets corrected soon. Overall, I'll definitely be back without hesitation.

It was also really cool to be seated at the oyster bar and get to watch all the appetizers being made. The snapper kinilaw with coconut was like a crudo, carpaccio, or ceviche and it was amazinggggg. The mix of the coconut milk, the chili oil, the fish, and the greens was such a good combo - it was so flavorful yet bright and light. I could have had so many plates of this. The crawfish croquettes were also fantastic! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and you could really taste the crawfish and the spices. Again, so much flavor! The baked drum with leek was probably my least favorite dish of the night, just because I like my fish more soft and smooth, but it was still good! Finally, I was swayed to get the carrot sticky toffee pudding after seeing so many of them being made at the bar. It was like a deconstructed carrot cake, with cream cheese flavor ice cream and a warm, sticky molten carrot cake and graham cracker crumbles. Absolutely divine. As soon as they arrived, I picked one up and immediately thought, "Wow, this is incredibly light." Anyone who eats crabs regularly knows that's usually a bad sign. When I opened it, it was completely hollow inside--nothing but an empty shell. A crab that is hollow like that was dead before it was cooked. I never took a single bite. I showed it to our server, Remy B., who apologized and said she would let the manager know. She took the plate away, so I assumed the issue was being handled. When the bill arrived, I was still charged for the crabs. I asked to speak with a manager and explained exactly what happened. She confirmed that I had notified the server and that the plate had been taken away. Then she told me that it didn't matter because their policy is to not give refunds or remove food from a check. Let that sink in: they acknowledged that I didn't eat the food, acknowledged that the server removed it, and still charged me for it. A restaurant standing behind its food is the bare minimum. Charging customers for food that was clearly unacceptable and never eaten is ridiculous. The lack of concern from management was even more disappointing than the crab itself. The only reason this review isn't 1 star is because the young man at the host stand was friendly, professional, and the one bright spot of the entire experience.

The grits were quite grainy and didn't taste cheesy as described. They weren't creamy at all and really tasted like plain barely salted grits that could have been cooked a bit longer. The shrimp was flavorful and the sear on the outside was nice, but they were quite overcooked and tough. There was a much higher ratio of grits to shrimp and gravy than you would want, especially given the grits were not that good.
