This was my first place I visited in NOLA! I was under the belief this place was a restaurant/bar where I could watch football; however, upon arrival, I noticed it's more of a brunch type of restaurant. We stayed and the most of it. Everyone here was friendly and despite the place being very busy, they had one table available. This place had constant people coming in and out. They only serve brunch on Sundays, which I had no issue with. I had the Grilled Salmon, Asparagus, Grits and Eggs. My buddy went with the Chicken and Waffles, Eggs and Grits. The salmon was okay. The eggs tasted slightly microwave-Essie, but the grits were excellent. While the place was very crowded, the server came around frequently and constantly checked on the table. The music was great, and if you come with kids, like many folks did, the music was mostly R&B and always sites, whenever there was any profanity. I enjoyed The oysters from here. They were nice and fresh. But I usually just drown them in lemons and hot sauce anyway. They were not greasy like other oysters I've had in the past. I liked the red beans and rice but they could've had a little more flavor. The drinks were good and strong. I got a collectible cup and I felt that it was worth it. First off, shout out to New Orleans, man, they are often called one of the best cities to eat in & boy they didn't disappoint. I had some great meals there, many of which I was determined to be interesting or unique, and while I rank certain specific specific dishes in the top 3, Morrow's was by far the best full meal of our 6 day trip - and it also is one of the top 3 dishes, too. The real signal of incredible quality was the dishes my fiancé does not eat - crawfish & fried chicken on the bone. Spoiler alert, I am not always the biggest fan of bone-in chicken either, except for your standard wings. But we had both and y'all. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and so well seasoned, it is easily the best fried chicken I've ever had. And the fiancé agrees, and polished off more than I did. The crawfish bread solves my biggest issue with crawfish - the work. Soft, delicious bread with cheese on top and little pieces of crawfish made it easily in my top 3 best things I put in my mouth all trip (ayo). We also had a surprisingly spicy mac and cheese, incredibly consistent and sweet cornbread muffins, and onion rings that hit the spot. We were also on the search for great hurricanes, and while we had two from other establishments, it was happy hour here when we went, with half-off margaritas, so we both had the watermelon margarita, which was equally fantastic. So was the second one. The decor is clean and modern and we wore sweats, so no worries there. Imani was our waitress and she was attentive, extremely kind, and made our experience that much more pleasant - shout out to Imani, give her a raise! With a group of girls in town for a Batchelorette Party, we made a pit stop by this amazing restaurant off the beaten path. As per usual, the food was amazing. The service was even better. Chef Dollie and his team took care of us in a big way. If you are in the mood for great food, excellent service, and a delightful atmosphere, I recommend you visit Morrows. I ordered 3 crawfish pastas for $28 a piece and it was high key mid. I had to add salt and pepper to my dish to even give it some flavor. It was very bland. My brothers was also bland, but my sister stated hers had enough seasoning. I was in the New Orleans for the week and was looking for something local I happened upon this spot on Yelp and I'm really glad we decided to have lunch here. This spot is located away from the noise of the city in a quite section of town. The restaurant inside is not that big and the outside doesn't look like much but when you go inside it's really nice and has a modern feel to it. The service was great, the only complaint is you have to use a QR code to look at the menu and the internet service inside is not all that great. But the food and drinks makes up for that for sure. My wife and daughter went for the Cajun crawfish pasta and I had the Red fish yeah dish. My wife and daughter loved their dishes and mine was phenomenal the Redfish is served grilled on top of delicious garlic mashed potatoes and finished off with BBQ shrimp in a creamy Cajun garlic sauce with a slice of garlic toast. The crawfish pasta has Louisiana crawfish & linguini pasta in a Cajun cream sauce topped with two pieces of fried Louisiana Catfish and a piece of garlic toast. From the second I walked in to the moment I left the service was amazing, and the staff did a great job of creating a welcoming environment. I came to Morrow's around 7pm, without a reservation on a busy Thursday night and the amazing hostess Whitney was able to get us a table. She was kind and I feel like she really went out of her way to accommodate us. Though she could've easily turned us away she didn't and I can't stress how much she made my night!! We had a large party coming in visiting NOLA, so one of our friends made a reservation. There seemed to be slight hiccups getting situated in proper tables as they had to split us up, but once everyone arrived and got seated, it got cleared up. Unfortunately this was VERY salty, and I know it wasn't my bad memory that I remembered this not being this salted as I had some more Gumbo later this trip and it wasn't as crazy. Luckily I shared my food with my boyfriend so I just ate some of his food while he could take on the saltier stuff. The first time I went my wait was about 3 hours and the second time was an hour. How good the food is totally made the wait times worth it. I wanted to love this place as it came highly recommended. We had a reservation for 5:30 Sunday evening. We were seated at a dirty spot at the bar, no biggie, just figured the bartender was busy. They have a great HH menu - $5 cocktails and half price appetizers off selected items (we tried the Crawfish Bread, Sesame Ginger Wings and the Gumbo).
