Burgers were cooked perfectly and the shoe string fries kept their crisp all the way back to the airport. Curbside pick up every 15 minutes made this so easy. I am grateful that we took part in this. Thick juicy burger cooked medium, reheat was medium well (my perfect temp). Buns and cheese and pickles went well with each other! I really just have nothing bad to say about the meal, my mouth is watering still as I write this. I always thought of Morton's as another one of those high-end chains, like Ruth's Chris. But after our visit to Morton's Honolulu, I've gotta say that this place beats all the others. We went in Sept 2022 for my wife's birthday, and the steaks, the service, the sides, were all amazing. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful in making selections and checked up on us to make sure we were having a really nice dinner. One thing is that this is an old timey steakhouse vibe, no windows at all to see the ocean across the road, but very old time NY steak vibes inside. Located at the mall level of the Ala Moana shopping center, you enter from the ocean side of the mall. You enter to an elevator and take you to their floor. Our company has a group dinner for about 50 people at this place this past Saturday and they gave us a private room. The service is good, our menu was packed with food, we have lamb chop, crabcake, scallop, French onion soup, lobster tail, filet, fish, etc. I am very disappointed with the lobster tail and steak. The lobster tail was poorly cooked, it was mushy, no texture and has no taste, is like the worst lobster tail I ever had in my life. In fact, our entire table of eight people complaint about the lobster tail. My steak is lack of seasoning and over cook. I am very surprise for a place like this, the quality of the lobster tail can be that bad. Since this is a company party, I did not want to say much about it during the dinner. Looking back, I should have ask the waiter to take the lobster back to the cook and have them taste it. I would not go back for the lobster tail for sure. Watch out for the nasty, big attitude hostesses. I waited while one finished up a phone conversation about a reservation. Then she asked if she could help me, no apology for making me wait. I explained that I was there for the college group. She then told me to wait & proceeded to ask the couple behind me. That couple had to look up on their phone for the party's name. The hostess tells me she had to seat them first & for me to wait. Second hostess appears & the first tells her that I needed to be taken to private room. Instead, second hostess now asks the next person waiting. Okay, you as hostess set the tone for the whole restaurant. Being deliberately ignored and treated poorly gives what kind of impression? The sad thing is the private room is just around the corner and not like the hostesses have to walk far. I help make restaurant suggestions when the college Dean comes to meet alumni here in Hawaii. Having private meeting space & ample parking is a major plus. The food was excellent, given 3 entree choices, filet, salmon or chicken. Everyone enjoyed their choices and not a complaint. Special kudos to Paul our server who went above and beyond to make everything perfect!! But still one of the best filet mignons I've ever had. 7 oz Wagyu Filet Rossini (Rating: 9/10) The wagyu was very flavorful and tender and melts in your mouth. Portion size was a little smaller than expected, but worth the price. Sides: Smoked gouda & bacon au gratin potatoes (Rating: 10/10) Our favorite of all the side dishes. The combination of flavors were so amazing, like a symphony happening in your mouth. It was so good. I've never tasted potatoes like that. Highly recommend! Yesterday day early evening I arrived at Morton's steakhouse. My experience was terrible. When I approached the elevator to enter I asked the steakhouse valet (once I was able to get his attention- he was having a scintillating conversation about planet fitness with a colleague,) if that was the proper entrance. He side eyed me, muttered yes, grimaced and got back to the real business at hand, chatting it up with his buddy. The real show began when I hit the 2nd floor and the elevator doors opened... I was greeted (well not really greeted as no one said anything until I did) by 3 scowling, completely unbothered female hosts. Maybe it was my attire? Being that I was there for takeout, I left my evening gown at home.... to be fair the hosts weren't particularly interested in the guests crowded in the waiting area patiently waiting for their tables either. In fact they seemed annoyed that they had a busy crowd on a Saturday night (as if this is an anomaly btw when is busy ever bad in the restaurant industry?). After my bag was shoved at me, I boarded the elevator, got off and stupidly asked the fitness enthusiast- I mean the Valet another question. This time he answered me with visible annoyance and dismissed me completely.. subsequently I spoke with the manager- Andrew. Andrew was extremely professional, friendly and very displeased about my experience. He was even kind enough to offer an open door to speak with him any time. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Morton's. We started off with raw oysters on a half shell and a caprese salad. For out entrees I had the wagyu filet with a lobster tail and my husband had the wagyu ribeye with scallops. My only complaint was that my wagyu filet was over cooked. I asked for medium rare and got more than a medium. I know it's a small piece of steak but when you splurge for the Wagyu, you want it cooked to your preference! I've been to other Morton's but this is my favorite location. The staff is so incredible and friendly. The service, the spacing with Covid and the care of each meal is amazing. We went here for an anniversary and had such a special time. This team made us feel so comfortable and at home. We had to order as much as we could. I strongly recommend the lobster Mac and cheese or the lobster ravioli! The ravioli has a type of mushroom on it just compliments the lobster favor so well. They also are one of the few places on the island that service Foie Gras. They prepare it so perfectly that it melts in your mouth. It's almost a spiritual experience! My husband drinks wine and he says they have great options from New Zealand. I do not drink so I love the sparkling water options or a wonderful ice tea! Over all, come hungry. This was my first time eating at Morton's so I was looking forward to it. While enroute, about 15 minutes prior to our reservation time, I received a text advising me that our table was ready. Since the restaurant is located at the Ala Moana Shopping Center, there is ample parking available. You need to take an elevator from the second floor of the mall to the restaurant. Onion bread (a large roll) was brought to the table which I thought was pretty good. I passed on having appetizers and ordered the 22oz bone in ribeye and upgraded it with bacon wrapped scallops for an additional $15. For my side I ordered "the Troy" which is sautéed onions and button mushrooms. The steak was cooked as ordered (medium rare). The portions for the sides were large enough for two people to share so you might want to keep that in mind. I thought the mushrooms and onions were a little salty. I didn't think much of the scallops. It wasn't overcooked or anything but was lacking. For dessert I had Creme brûlée. The staff was friendly and was not overbearing and constantly checking on you. They respected your space which I appreciated. The wait help always kept the water glasses filled. Overall a nice dining experience and my steak tasted great! read more

I did takeout and in less than 20 minutes my $25 burger and fries was ready. Yes, a $25.00,10.0 ounce burger with fries. Was it worth it? This is a review of Morton's take home special during the PHE. $49 for each meal deal: Porkchop was really juicy, with a touch of pink so not overcooked. The crab cake was fluffy and had lots of crab flavor. The aioli it came with was slightly spicy with old bay seasoning (or something similar). The potato gratin was creamy, indulgent, with a crispy top. The bleu cheese salad was fresh with just enough blue flavor. The lettuc was also nicely washes. Filet was nicely cooked at med rare. The shrinp was plump and properly cooked (although could use a little more flavor), asparagus was roasted to be subtly sweet. The balsamic matched well and had a strong flavor. A little goes a long way. The Cesar salad came with crispy (ish by the time we got it) , dressing was good. For the value, it was worth it. We parked in front and they delivered to your car. My friend made the reservation at 8:00 pm which was the earliest on a Saturday, January 4. I was disappointed that my high school classmate Erwin who is the executive chef wasn't working that night. Her steak looked small and only 2 scallops. Overall, the steaks weren't any better than Outback. The cons: the cheesecake seemed over cooked. It was dry and not creamy. The ribeye medium seemed like medium-well and tasted mostly charred as far as flavor. In summary, I think Ruth Chris is better for food and price. Loyalty program is available for $25 but you get $25 back after you register the card online and it's auto loaded. I actually used this at the annual $1 steak sandwich promotion! I've had interesting experience with customer service. At the bar an item ordered never made it to the kitchen but nothing was done to rectify the issue. So when a survey reached my email I let them know. The same day I was contacted by the GM of the restaurant- they apologized and told us to come in again. I ordered the 42oz Porterhouse Steak for $114, but according to the bill, it costed $70 which would mean I mistakenly got the 24oz Porterhouse Steak instead. Anyways, it was a perfect medium, just the way I wanted and with blue cheese butter all over. I wish it was a bit more saltier, but other than that, it was amaaaazing. My wife ordered the Mixed Grills for $61 and she chose the one that had 02 bacon wrapped scallops, 02 grilled shrimps, and 01 jumbo crab cake. She said her plate was simple, but delicious. This restaurant is located in the Ala Moana Center on the second floor open parking area on the Makai or ocean side. They have free valet or you can simply find parking. Both of our steaks were perfectly medium rare as well. The bacon steak was delicious too, I would've just had that and some rice as a meal. Several servers came by our table which was kind of awkward but maybe that's because it seemed to be a busy night with what seemed like a holiday party going on in the room right behind us. One of the servers asked my husband if he wanted another drink, he said he did not but we were brought another drink and charged for it anyway lol. The restaurant parking was difficult to get to following the directions on google maps though. Five star service and food, what's not love about Morton's? My family and I stopped by for belated Mother's Day dinner and we're delightfully surprised by how swanky this place looked. Everyone has been raving about happy hour here--noted for next time. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, close to the kitchen. It was a bit noisy but we had a great time. Our server, Ed, was great. He checked on us like clock work and was so friendly and kind. Ed also offered many great suggestions for us to try throughout the night. As for food, our party of 5 shared a Cesar salad, the crab cakes, and meatballs as our appetizers. As for our main entree our table was divided with most of us getting the rib eye--my mom and I got the 6oz. filet mignon mixed grill--came with two large shrimp and two bacon wrapped scallops. For sides we shared the lobster Mac and cheese, black truffle cauliflower mash, and button mushrooms. The food here was over the top and extremely delicious. This was my first experience with Morton's. I expected it to be a bit pricey, but I have found that good steak on Oahu is never cheap (Tommy Bahama's and Ruth's Chris are two of my favs). I was looking for a good steak, and price wasn't a big concern. Upon entering Morton's I was immediately struck by how dark it was. I felt like I was eating in someone's basement. While the presentation of everything was ostentatious, it was overshadowed by poor service. Our waiter consistently forgot drinks, botched orders, and generally seemed like he was over his head. While he didn't seem new, he did seem inept. At one point in the meal I excused myself to use the restroom. What I found in there was unacceptable. Out of two toilets, one was broken, and had a hand-written sign that said "out of order" in marker. What kind of hillbilly foolishness is this? Am I at a fancy restaurant, or a Cracker Barrel!?! The lone toilet was also disgusting. If they can't keep the bathroom clean, should you expect more from the kitchen? Finally - the food was DECENT, not great. For the price I would even call it sub-par. Save yourself the trouble - avoid this place, and go to a GOOD steakhouse. I recommend Tommy Bahama's, Ruth's Chris, Duke's, or Haleiwa Joe's (Kaneohe). I've also heard Roy's is good, but haven't had the pleasure yet. I will not be coming back here. If someone from Morton's reads this - don't bother offering me a coupon. TLDR: The worst steakhouse in Hawaii, hands down. Do not waste your money here. Go to Ruth's Chris, Signature, Hy's, or basically any other steakhouse instead. 1. The restaurant is extremely difficult to find from within the mall. There are no directions on their website, and no signage in the mall until you are practically AT the restaurant. Spent 30 minutes wandering in circles from Bloomingdale's to Macy's until I found it by cutting through Neiman Marcus to the back mall employee parking lot. Bizarre. 2. The ambiance is HORRIBLE. This place is billed as a fine dining restaurant with prices and a strict dress code to match. But from the second you walk in, it's a loud, noisy sports bar with TVs playing football on the walls. It's so loud you can't hear what your dining mates are saying sitting right next to you. Absolutely ridiculous. The tables are so close together, and they will shove you onto the smallest possible table they can. We had reservations for a party of 13, and they squeezed us onto a table that would comfortably fit 10. Absolutely ridiculous. 3. The food is shockingly, offensively not good in any way. The steak is completely unseasoned--no salt, pepper, butter or anything. Just a tasteless piece of meat. Absolutely ridiculous. I ordered medium rare and got a mooing cow. My brother ordered medium rare and got medium well bordering on well done. Absolutely ridiculous. The house bread is dry and weirdly seasoned. The French onion soup was the worst I've ever had, and topped off with a rock hard, black-burnt to a crisp piece of French bread. The mashed potatoes are completely tasteless, with no salt, butter, garlic, or anything resembling taste. The baked potatoes are dry and butterless with no flavor whatsoever. The mushrooms and onion side dish lacked quality control--we got 2 for the table, and 1 was 90% onions and the other 1 was 90% mushrooms. The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was disappointing and uninspired. The potatoes au gratin and the asparagus were flavorless. It's CRAZY how NOT GOOD the entire menu is. 4. The service was good. Friendly and attentive. But nowhere near good enough to redeem this place's glaring flaws. read more

12-17-22 update on Mortons. We'll my brother and he's wife invited us plus my niece and her boyfriend to Christmas dinner. I ordered Ceasars salad, 2 lobster tails, and loaded bake potato. Well the Ceasars salad was very big in portion wise, the lobster tails were delicious and the bake potato turned out to be loaded mash potato because they didn't have any bake potato. Where do you find a high end restaurant running out of bake potato. They didn't fill the water glasses when the water was low. The desert Morton ice cream sundae was good. Everybody had the wagyu steak. Some had it with lobster tail and others just the steak. They didn't have a blender so no blended drinks. Well this time the restaurant lost a star due to no blender for drinks, no potatoes for the bake potatoes and servers didn't return to the table to fill the glasses with water.
