You can add me to the growing list of fans of Mosaic. Even with a small child, I found it to be a great spot for lunch while visiting neighboring Turtle Bay. The food was tasty, the service was impeccable. I should clarify that it's not just a great spot, it's the ONLY spot within walking distance of Turtle Bay as far as eateries are concerned. It's fresh and new in every way and attached to a hotel. I read through some of the negative reviews beforehand and couldn't relate to the criticisms. The decor, kind of a mix of modern and earthy wood, was very welcoming. The dishes, while a little pricier than average, were very good and kind of what you'd expect from either a hotel restauraunt or a restaurant near a big tourist attraction, so that wasn't a surprise either. I ended up getting a caesar salad with salmon and shared an order of rosemary fries for the table. The salad was really flavorful and the generous piece of salmon perfectly cooked. Our server was sweet and checked on us frequently. Some of the other staff even stopped and chatted with our little guy. This is our second night out of three at the restaurant as we are staying next door at the Sheraton, at the end of the day it's been super convenient! The food is great, feels fresh, and well thought out. We did the meat and cheese board the first time and a pasta to follow, it was good, but tonight, our second visit actually hooked me. On my first visit to Mosaic, we had brunch for my girlfriend's birthday in June. We had reservations for eight people, and they seated us in the indoor dining room. Beautiful Decour, very friendly staff. However, it took 45 minutes to take our order, and another 45 minutes to bring our food. When we inquired, he was very apologetic and actually comped the entire table so we paid nothing for our mimosas and breakfasts. Nice touch. Last night, we gave it a second shot for my own birthday dinner. We made reservations for 11 people and we were seated on the outdoor patio. Another beautiful backdrop for a relaxing evening, even in the heat. Our server, Nicholas, was very attentive. We ordered six pizzas and three entrées. Because the pizzas are cooked and made from scratch, it took another hour for them to come out. I had to contact Nicholas and ask him to bring them out as they were ready, because we were starving. I do want to say that we started out with two orders of the scallops appetizer and one charcuterie tray. Those were amazing, albeit a tad overpriced. I would definitely recommend this place if you have nowhere to be, and don't mind waiting for your food. Appetizers are a bit overpriced, but the rest of the menu is reasonable. Artesian pizza may sound like a racket, but give it a try! It was incredible. We tried to Mexicali, green pizza, Thousand peaks, Margarita, and peach pizza. The latter was the most surprising and very very good. Because is my birthday, but even can't my drinks, which was a nice touch. I visited Redding for a long weekend and ended up eating at Mosaic twice because it was so good! We ate on the patio which was comfortable even in January because our dog could sit with us. The Sunday brunch menu had many options which Gina our server was happy to answer questions. Our party enjoyed chilaquilas, stuffed French toast and the dog gobbled chicken plate. The second visit was today and bubbly Reyna made sure the Mosaic omelet was vegetarian and the Mosaic breakfast had the gravy on the side. She was friendly with our dog, who again gobbled the chicken dish. We will return on our next visit. read more

This was an awful experience. We were poured water from a pitcher and when my mom took a sip she gasped. We all smelled the water and it LITERALLY smelled like they got the water from a 10 year old turtle tank. It smelled like rotting fish. Three of us smelled the water in disgust. I've never had that happen in my life. It was absolutely disgusting. We brought it to the waitresses attention and she said she couldn't smell anything when we asked her to smell the glass (all 3 of our waters smelled like fish). So that seemed strange. We all ordered different pizzas. I have never in my life added salt to a pizza, but we all had to salt and pepper our pizzas just to try to get some sort of flavor. How do you mess up pizza? We were sat inside where there were hardly any full tables. Our waitress was completely absent stating she had to help outside because it was busy out there. That's great, but we were pretty much neglected. Overall the food was terrible, the water was rotten, everything was overpriced, and the service was awful. We went to Mosaic on a family vacation to celebrate. The place was beautiful and had really nice comfy sofa-like chairs. The waiter was amazing. Attentive and willing to spend the time explaining dishes. Loved the selection of local beer. For dinner all the meals were excellent. Everyone was so helpfu! I went in at 4:45 and they gave me the option to sit at the pizza station or wait until 5 for the restaurant, I chose to sit at the pizza area and ordered the Amazing Burger with Gouda and this amazing tomato jam! This was my 2nd time eating at Mosaic (1st time for dinner). Had a 6pm reservation for a party of 8 and were seated immediately upon arrival. I, and 3 other members of our party, ordered the black cod (a $30 special that the waiter recommended). We waited OVER AN HOUR for our food to arrive (dishes arrived a bit past 7:30pm). The restaurant seemed at an average busy-level; many indoor and outdoor tables had couples or families seated, but there were still some empty tables scattered around. The black cod was cooked & seasoned well, nicely seared, and served with bell peppers and rice. However, the portion size (for all 4 of our cod dishes) seemed rather small...especially given the $30 price tag. 2 out of the 4 black cod dishes also had multiple bones in it, an unexpected choking hazard lol. My husband ordered their Cavatappi pasta, which was essentially a mediocre-tasting Mac n Cheese topped with breadcrumbs. Staff were friendly and service was decent. Overall impression: Nice ambiance, good service, average food, be prepared to wait a longggg time for your food to arrive. Menu prices are pretty high for food that is average & small portion-sized. Personally, I don't think the dinner prices are worth it. Perhaps happy hour would be a better time to come. read more

While my apple pie pizza was good, the shishito peppers were very salty. The small plate of them was $10. The pizza was $17. My co worker had the salmon which was $30 and a very small serving.
