The service is always very attentive, the food is so flavorful and beautifully presented, and the drinks are beautiful and generous. The seating is covered, outdoors, with gas heaters throughout. I had lunch with girlfriends last week at Mosaic and the Brussel sprouts were literally so addicting we fought over who got to keep the left overs. I had a pizza and split it as well. The crust was a bit chewy but the topping combination was delicious. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Maybe my expectations were too high... I really enjoyed the margherita pizza but tragically disappointed with the blackberry soufflé pancake. To be real, it's a buttermilk pancake, not a soufflé pancake. Thick, gummy and not enough syrup. Also, slicing blackberries in half is not a benefit, it simply looks like your stretching a small portion of fresh fruit. Couldn't eat The second pancake as it was too dry. The hazelnut crumble was more of a dust, not course enough to taste, nor a "crumble." The creme brûlée was delicious. Will come again to check out the dinner. Loved the location and atmosphere. I've been to Mosaic quite a few times. While their food is decent my family always enjoyed the convenience of its location as it's right next to one of our favorite walking trails. However, we will not be going back. My wife accidentally spilled some water and it was quickly brought to our attention by what we think was the manager (he was wearing a blazer and it was clear to us he was not a waiter). He tells my wife that she was spilling water on "his floor" (it spilled, wasn't spilling and it was not a lot at all), told her to move her bag, dropped a towel and quickly absorbed the "mess". My wife was really embarrassed as he said it pretty loud (the two tables next to us stopped their conversation and just stared at us). As my wife was apologizing he interrupts with another snide remark and as he was walking away told her he "enjoys making people guilty". We just looked at each other and wondered out loud if that really just happened. This was a grown man whining about water on the ground. We didn't understand if it was his sense of humor or if he was really that upset that there was a little bit of water on the floor. It was a restaurant with wood floors right next to walking trail, I'm certain there's been much worse on that floor. We later figured at best he was being passive-aggressive. We then noticed he was walking to table to table asking how the meals were and we were wondering why he had to talk to us that way? My wife is the nicest person I have met and he made her feel really low by doing virtually nothing. We'll be putting our money elsewhere. Moonstone Bistro and View 202 are both pretty solid restaurants and we're treated like paying customers there. read more

Didn't even get a sincere apology and admission to her mistake not to mention something to compensate for the mistake and additional wait time. Witnessed a staff member cover a breastfeeding mother with an Infant, with a blanket that the patron didn't ask for. I also heard the staff member say "I mean no disrespect" while they proceeded to request the mother cover her baby and herself with the provided blanket. I dine at Mosiac fairly frequently and have seen the family the server requested cover up a few times while there, which Means they must support mosaic too. First of all, it is legal to breastfeed in all public spaces, including private businesses in the state of CA. This is a law, not an opinion, I am married to an attorney and I am a midwife, I know this law like the back of my hand. Second, treating a breastfeeding patron, and parent doing the brave work of giving their child the best possible start, is Shameful. My family will not be supporting Mosiac from now on and I intend to file a compliant with the state. Do Better. read more

Our waiter, Shaun, made all the difference in the world - and this was a delightful culinary experience. The duck, the rib eye and beet risotto were our choices.
