The quality shows reflects in the price but 100% worth it . What not to try everything's is amazing ! Also got the halumi aka fried cheese which was very tasty but small portion. The main dish was the Chicken Schnitzel which to me was out of the park !!! It disappoints me when a restaurant that I loved in the past has gotten so full of itself that the quality of the service has gone downhill. Well, I still enjoy the food, the offerings are fewer, and the sizes are smaller. The weight staff, however, were a particular issue for me. First of all, it took forever for somebody to come take our order and that same person failed to even come to take payment. I had to find another server to do that. But when I asked questions about the food, I got a very surly answer. Almost as if I shouldn't have even bothered asking the question. The prices have gone up since two years ago. And I understand that food cost more. But one salad that used to cost nine dollars now cost $19 and that seems to be a bit excessive to me. I will say that the new location is gorgeous. It is much larger easier for people to sit and have a quiet conversation. I enjoy that a lot, but the service really had an impact on me. read more

I have always enjoyed Motek but feel like is has gone downhill. After waiting for an hour for a table we were placed at the worst table in the restaraunt. We were seated directly next to a very busy service station. We asked if we could have another table and they said no. Less than a foot away they were literally changing out garbage cans while we were trying to eat. Another small thing but made an impression was the condition of the ladies room. It was really dirty and had no toilet paper. While I did enjoy the food I don't think I will return based on this experience. read more

First off, from the moment I walked up, I was wowed by how cute it was! The florals, the ambiance. Amazing! We were seated outside where it was comfortable despite the humidity. They have fans and great airflow on their patio. We started with the tzatziki, pickle plate, and ceviche. The tzatziki was fabulously fresh and came with warm pita, which was fluffy and delicious. The pickles were delightfully colorful and just as appealing as they looked. My husband really enjoyed the ceviche as well. Finally, we shared the steak sandwich. I had written about this in a previous review from when I visited their smaller location at the Seybold Building. Upon it arriving, I exclaimed, "I've been dreaming of you." Indeed I had been dreaming of this sandwich, and for good reason. It is simply delectable. We will definitely be back, along with my friends who I have been raving to. :) read more

The food was Good. It was my first time at this location and I was alone for lunch. It took a Good 10 minutes for the server to come. He apologized for the delay and explained why he was delayed. I still didn't like it because someone could have explained why I was just sitting there for so long. I was on my phone and just not in the mood for drama so I waited. Then what I didn't like was that they added a 20% service charge. He did ask me if it was okay and I said it was because I wasn't in the mood to argue over pennies. I had been hearing about Motek from a few friends whose food judgments I trust. So when I finally went on a double date I was thrilled to see what the rave was all about. I love Mediterranean food as is but Motek really did pleasantly surprise me and leave me wanting more. It's located in Aventura mall, the outside area and it has a very cute design and ambiance to it. You can go dressed up or down, whatever you prefer. The staff was kind and friendly. Our waiter helped with our selection. We got a lot of items to try out. I was told the hummus was a MUST and I concur, the hummus is a MUST! The babaganoush was great as well. For my entree I ordered the Arayes burger which was voted best burger and I can totally see why. Very juicy and flavorful. The chicken shawarma was delicious as well. All the food tasted fresh. I always eat there. Their food is very tasteful but today I decided to order Uber eats my total bill was $65 for chicken breast Israeli salad and a rice.... The portion I received are ridiculous!!! The price comparing to the portion is something that I can't explain - you need to see it!!! it's beyond Taking advantage. Yes, Miami is expensive, yes Kosher food is expensive. I know I always eat in Miami in Kosher places, but this was outrageous that I even took my time to make this review and attach photos because what they show in the menu when you order comparing to what you receive it's completely different.. Last night of Passover and the place is hopping, no tables, no bar seats, so we thought to just take out, but then, I went to the bathroom and 3 bar seats opened up, so we snagged them. We were not too hungry, so ordered chicken shwarma, hummus and cigars. The bread alone is OMG, it's insane and the shwarma was top-notch. The drinks were on point. Motek is such a beautiful standard for a restaurant. It's esthetic at its new location in Aventura mall far surpasses any other nearby. They did an excellent job and held back no detail in their layout. It's so nice because both their indoor outdoor areas are huge. This is the perfect place to go with a group and leave with all the gorgeous pics. I'd never had a Mediterranean/kosher brunch but I loved it all! Their portion sizes for their plates are honestly huge. We didn't need the apps but enjoyed them. I had the avocado toast and although that sounds boring, it was not by any means. It had a picked cauliflower and lightly spicy pepper slaw on top with added seasonings and herbs. I want to go back thinking of it. I could only eat half but I recommend if you're open to trying new unique flavors. My girlfriend also had the Israeli breakfast which they loved- equally HUGE. We had a baklava to share and it was delish! Don't skip their hot coffee if you enjoy. I'm a cold drink girl and had the matcha which was refreshing. This place never disappoints -- whether it's this location or Brickell. The food is always on point. The Moroccan cigars, halloumi, kufta, and so many other dishes are consistently flavorful. This place also always has a good vibe! I visited the Aventura location today and learned they had removed the happy hour from the menu. Giuseppe, the manager, handled the situation with complete professionalism and went out of his way to make up for the inconvenience, offering alternatives like a $50 gift card or drinks on the house. Shaunn, the bartender, was also extremely friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Giuseppe and Shaunn, for turning an unexpected hiccup into a great experience. read more

My friend and I had a very upsetting experience last night at Motek. We were there at 4:45pm at the tail end of Happy Hour. We asked to be seated at a table since were going to order food off the regular menu. As we have done many times in the past, I went to the bar to order a glass of wine while it was still Happy Hour to bring to the table. Like I said, we have done this many times in the past and no one told us it was not allowed. While I was at the bar getting ready to pay for my Happy Hour glass of wine, Freddie, our server, came running over to say this was not allowed so that everyone could hear. The way he handled this was very embarrassing to me as the area was very crowded and I was surrounded by people. I felt like I was doing a criminal act. I was mortified. There are so many other ways he could have handled it that would have been much more tactful. How was I supposed to know it was not allowed when no one had ever said anything in the past. He was extremely disrespectful and tactless. I went back to my table mortified. I then ordered a glass of wine from him from the regular menu. It took a long time for him to bring it to the table - way after our food arrived. In fact, I had to ask another server to check on it because Freddie was busy with other tables and didn't pay attention. Since it has been so nice & cool out & we probably won't have many more evenings like this, it was a pleasure to be seated on the beautiful patio they have created at the mall of all places. Starting off with the mushroom hummus delicious & I'm not usually a huge fan of regular hummus. To the French style pita w/caramelized onions, cheese & truffles, OMG!! I could have stopped there & been so happy. We also had the zucchini latkes. Main courses were the chicken schnitzel, crispy skin salmon (that was the special of the night) & I ordered the cauliflower w/harissa honey from the hot appetizers. There was not one bad bite to be had. The s'chug was seasoned beautifully to everyone's liking. I had an excellent lunch here this week. A friend who lives near the mall took me here for a belated birthday gift. The restaurant is in the newer section. It has outdoor seating in a lush setting of plants. There's also inside dining. As it was a pretty day, we decided to sit outside in a shady area under an umbrella. We had very good service from David who waited on us. They give you a dish of marinated green olives to munch on while perusing the menu. I love olives and my friend does not... so more for me! We kept seeing plates going by that looked delicious. And we asked the folks sitting on each side of us what they were (happily) eating. Everyone had only positive reactions to their food. We decided to order their cold sampler plate and share. It was more than large enough for the two of us -- in fact 3 people could have eaten from all the plates and been more than satisfied. We were surprised to see that all the choices came out in small individual dishes. There was a dish of creamy hummus; one of babaghanoush; a lightly dressed salad; and (our favorite) the chunky eggplant "salad".... As well as some fluffy bread-like pita. Everything was very, very good. The pita wasn't my favorite style, but was perfect to scoop up all the dips and mix and match combos of ingredients. I'd get this dish again in a heartbeat. We were actually quite full, but decided to have at least a final sweet taste. They presented all the dessert options, and we chose the smallest, less sweet one -- just to have one bite each. We had a piece of chocolate ruggelah -which was very good, as well. The menu is large and there are so many appealing options. I can't wait to return to try more of their menu. Recently tried Motek for the first time after hearing so much about it and I visited the location at the Aventura Mall! We didn't make a reservation and were seated right away around 2pm. We asked for an inside table thinking it would be cool, but it was actually almost warmer inside than it was outside. We received fast and friendly service. We ordered the mushroom hummus, tzatziki, babaganoush, chicken shawarma, and the arayes burger. We all loved all of the spreads/dips and the chicken shawarma, but the pita on the arayes burger was a bit burnt. I did like Motek, but I'm not quite rushing to come back. I would return though when the opportunity presents itself! read more

First time dining at Motek. My wife and I shared the baba ganoush, a Greek salad and the chicken shawarma. We ended the meal with a halva ice cream dessert. The food was excellent. Each dish as good as the other. The baba ganoush was probably the best we've ever had. Our waiter, Juan Carlos, provided great service with a cheerful demeanor. Since it was our first time there, he took the time to explain the menu, various options available, and provided excellent recommendations (the Halva Ice cream!). I am absolutely astonished at how amazing this Mediterranean restaurant was. It's a mixture of a couple different countries so the cuisine is very unique and honestly beyond words delicious. Majority of the food definitely won't weigh you down. It's all very light and just full of flavor and different spices. They were extremely busy so if I were you, I recommend getting a reservation. It really depends on what time of day you come. There lemonade drink was absolutely fantastic and I heard that the hibiscus tea was really delicious too. The appetizers were out of this world. I couldn't stop eating the zucchini sticks, as well as the eggplant sticks. I ended up having the burger, but we shared so much food between four people I was honestly full and ended up taking a lot home, which was definitely on me. My friend took me to lunch here, and everything was heavenly! The food, drinks, atmosphere- all divine! The service was also great. The servers send in the order right away on their tablets, and the food is brought out as it is ready. Considering the concept is shared plates, it's a genius set up. You can order more food at any point. Our server recommended the crispy cauliflower, which I ordered, as well as a small Israeli salad and side of pita. The cauliflower was so delicious, sweet, and crisp. I don't believe I've had it made with such a nice texture. I asked about coffee and espresso drinks, and the server also recommended the Vanilla Rose iced latte. So yummy- it was the perfect choice! I will be dreaming about Motek's Crispy Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich until further notice. It was so good that I ate it cold the next day. And now that I'm looking back on it, I'm even more devastated that I didn't get any pictures of it. It's quite literally the perfect balance of flavors, perfectly crisp chicken, a bright and refreshing slaw, a zesty sauce and buttery challah. Also the Shaved Halva Sundae??? Perfection. Amazing flavors.. textures.. I discovered Motek Cafe in Downtown Miami some time ago and have since been visiting the restaurant (and ordering their food on Uber Eats) fairly regularly. But, it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I had the pleasure of visiting the location at Aventura Mall. Motek is located in the mall's lovely outdoor courtyard. The restaurant has an inviting outdoor area, but the inside is just as well-decorated. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about their food and the service is always great, but this time I took my much pickier mother along with me and she WOULD NOT stop raving about the food for days, so Motek really does know what they're doing... This visit, we shared the SAMPLER PLATE, LEBANESE VEGGIE CRUDITES, and of course...the ARAYES BURGER which just won at the South Beach Food & Wine's Burger Bash event (very well-deserved). As usual, everything was perfect. I wish we'd had space for dessert, but it's just another reason to go back! read more
