Heads up! They offer dinner now on Fridays and Saturday and itnis amazing. My Companion had the equivalent of shepherds pie which was awesome and I enjoyed the best French onion soup I have ever had, not too salty thi k with cheese croutons and pieces of onion. Not too thin. Value advice: Chardonnay is $10 a glass but go to the cooler and buy a bottle for $20! Service was so friendly! We will be back!

This location is spectacular! Located in North Beach right above the North Beach trail... so after eating you can walk off all the calories!! lol This location is an easy walk from our home so my dog really loves coming here! They have both inside and outside seating and you can have your dog with you either location. Service is easy... you order at the counter... although you can easily get distracted by all the goodies on display!, they give you a number and bring your food to you when it's ready. It's a very casual French cafe perfect for breakfast or lunch and seems to be a perfect stop for bikers! If you want a great French food experience this is a great choice!

Moulin has just opened for dinner on weekends and we had an amazing experience! Food was excellent. We had the Charcuterie and Cheese Board, the Burger, and the Crème Brûlée. Service was great and the live music made for a great atmosphere.

What a gem this place is. If you live here or your visiting san clemente you need to come get a latte and a bite from sammy, james or t. This place is as close to a European experience here in the states as it gets. Great location seaside with tables out and in. Antoine manages this location and you can see the comradery with the staff.

Moulin is my go to coffee shop. The people that work there are away friendly and helpful. Pastries, salads, sandwiches are all wonderfully tasty. If you are gluten sensitive, this is the place for you. All flour and butter is imported from France. Coffee is excellent. My favorite pastry is the almond crescent. So yummy! I highly recommend Moulin! Tony, Sammy and James are the best!

This is a cute little coffee shop/bakery near the beach in San Clemente. Their coffee menu is very basic so I just ordered a half-caff iced latte. It was good! Not so good that I'd come back just for the coffee, but I'd happily stop by if it was on my way or if I wanted some pastries too. I didn't get a chance to try their baked goods, but they had a lot of delicious-looking things. It seems like they're more known as a bakery than coffee shop. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have matcha lattes, since that's my current favorite drink, but I suppose they are trying to stay in their lane of just being a bakery.

Moulin is such a cute spot for breakfast and lunch. It's right across from the Ole Hanson Beach club and the beach/train station. You'll feel like you've been transported on a little vacay while you eat the delicious Parisian food while looking at the ocean and palm trees. They have a wide selection of grab and go items, like sandwiches, salads, and pastries. They also have wines and delicious sparkling drinks to enjoy. There's some indoor seating, as well as a few seats on their outdoor patio. Most parking will be metered parking. Also, please note that while the restaurant is open until 3pm, the kitchen is open until 2pm. They still have fabulous food you can grab and eat there until they close. Highly recommend stopping by Moulin for a little mini vacay while you eat!

First time coming to Moulin for lunch! Cute little place on the corner near the ocean front. Ordered 2 Panninis, the croissant, fries, and salad. Everything was delicious, the fries tasted better than any burger joint I regularly go to. Prices aren't bad in comparison, about 40 bucks. The servers were kind and served the food up in less than 5 minutes! If you're in the area looking for food, I'd recommend stopping by for a bite!

Best service and best food. Sammy and Tony bringing the fun! Best coffee in South OC.

Tony & Sami at Moulin in San Clemente is an absolute gem. The coffee is excellent (even the decaf has a robust European coffee flavor), and the food is truly authentic French--clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. The croissants and pastries are phenomenal, easily some of the best around. My favorite is the omelette with potatoes and their proprietary homemade ham. I add cheese and it is perfection. The service is outstanding as well. The staff is cheerful, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which makes the experience even better. With both indoor and outdoor seating and a charming French atmosphere that truly mimics a café in France, it feels like a little European escape right in San Clemente. Highly recommend for coffee, breakfast, or a relaxed café experience. Everything on the menu is excellent. When I am in town this is my go to breakfast place. I am there as soon as they open. After I am done with breakfast I take a short stroll to the beach right across the street to listen to the early morning waves break and I've got my therapy for the day. Additional notes: - They use excellent butter (I think it is French as well- creamy & deep flavor. - Same for their cheese (I know... low fat this and that and blah, blah, blah... Truth is I don't go off the rails like this daily- more like once every 4 weeks or so). BUT! If you're gonna go OFF! THIS IS THE PLACE!

    are you kidding?

Listen... nobody warned me that these pastries would change the trajectory of my day. The berry tart? Spiritual experience. The lemon tart? Honestly disrespectful how good it is. Staff is awesome, vibes are immaculate, and the iced tea is so good I started considering hydration as a personality trait. Grab a chair outside, absorb some sunshine, stare at the ocean, and contemplate your life choices. 10/10, I'd put this tart on my vision board.

The Paris Brest - the flavors and textures are so incredibly gourmet & it's amazing Parisian food without the tough travel logistics!!

The Moulin cafe in this San Clemente location is one of my favorite places in the world! The food was so impeccably outstanding and lovingly curated to be nutritious and/or authentic at the same time, the staff were all so full of positive energy and really went above and beyond in many ways, and the cool November air at the outside patio tables with an ocean view while I got to savor a stunning Paris Brest, an out-of-this-world delicious La Salade Moulin with the best ingredients including housemade chicken pesto and croutons, and an exquisitely superb Alain Milliat cranberry juice, really gave my body, mind, and soul a chance to reset and relish in the discovery of such an amazing place... it's like 3-in-1, with the Moulin experience that's second to none, the Parisian / French foods that I get to enjoy without dealing with the current obstacles I face in actually taking a trip to France, and the absolute grand serenity of being by the ocean in San Clemente. Thank you to the Moulin staff of San Clemente and also, of course, to the dedicated and visionary owner, Laurent, who is a magician with a big heart!

The gal behind the counter was very nice in explaining what certain items on the menus were, plus she made excellent drinks. The Mocha is amazing. Bonus point: your coffee comes with a piece of chocolate, very nice little thing. There's also a nice assortment of pastries and baked goods!

The Ratatouille was alright, we were not a fan. We got the Steak Frites medium and felt like it should've tasted better. We did appreciate that we did taste the red wine. The Belgians fries were hot and crispy. They were quite generous with the salt. The decor was nice. The food was descent. The kept refilling our water without us asking which was nice. One of my absolute favorite restaurants in San Clemente! I love everything about this restaurant…read more.. It is situated in a historic building, just south of Palizada. They have both inside and outside dining, but the outside dining is my favorite. When you sit outside you feel like you've been transported to a European village. The trellis is covered with beautiful lilacs, the fireplace is cozy and the church behind the restaurant makes for a beautiful backdrop! Not only is the atmosphere fantastic but I've never had bad service. Tonight we were lucky enough to sit outside next to the fire place. Our waiter came over quickly and took our drink orders and told us the specials. All the dishes are contemporary American cuisine with a European twist...crafted using fresh, vibrant, and locally sourced ingredients. We started with one of the nightly specials, which was Hamachi Crudo, it was excellent! Along with that we tried the Goat Cheese Fondue. Then we moved on to dinner with two of us having the nightly special of Halibut topped with Arugula Salad. Another had the.Braised Short Ribs and the other had the Lamb Ragu Pasta. For dessert with tried the Fig Butter Cake and a Chocolate Pot de Crème... everything was delicious! The scallops were cooked perfectly but needed more salt and flavor, the roasted vegetables were fresh and flavorful, We also had the beef with purple cabbage and it was delicious. There is a pretty courtyard area with fire pits but we sat inside as it was a little chilly outside. The menu is adequate, I only wish they were open for lunch as I'd love to try the wagyu burger with truffle fries.

The owner has created an incredible space warm, intimate ambiance, an outstanding food menu, and one of the best wine selections I've seen in a long time. Everything felt thoughtful and elevated without being pretentious. Our server, Tatum was professional, attentive, and extremely patient. I happened to be seated nearby during an interaction with a group of women who were openly rude and condescending toward her from the start. Despite that, she remained calm, polite, and handled herself with grace. If anything, she showed remarkable composure under unnecessary pressure. Service jobs aren't easy, and it's disappointing when unfair situations get misrepresented online. Based on what I personally observed, Tatum did nothing but her job and did it well.
