After about an hour and fifteen minutes, we called (we only live about two miles from the place). The woman on the phone said the pizza had gone out 25 minutes earlier and said it would be here soon. About 5 minutes later the pizza arrived. It was pretty much cold, so we stuck it in the oven to reheat. We decided to give Mountain Mike's a shot this time, but we'll go back to getting our pizza from Pizza Guys. read more

This establishment really needs some management. I have tried giving them multiple chances and every single time they mess up. Every owner says the same: we want your business and we appreciate you. I think they have a new owner because the previous owner was a guy named Amarjit and I have seen new business card saying the new owner is Tonya Meadows. The reason to why I say they need management because every time I have come in, they either don't have my order or they take FOREVER to get it out and ready. Most of the employees are rude and careless. No work ethic or manners. I've been coming here for about two years and I think only around the first few months of me coming here did I ever get a good service. With exception of a recent time they messed up my pizza during a busy night in which a young, yet responsible Hispanic man with glasses, was able to help me with my order. He talked to me personally and told me he was the assistant manager. He got my order going, gave me a extra soda, took care of the customers waiting and even though it was busy he managed to take care of the front without making it seem like he was busy or overwhelmed. I went back this week and my order was wrong. I had ordered over the weekend too and WRONG. I wondered what happened to the young man. He said he would be here everyday, but I haven't seen him. I wouldn't be surprised if he left for a better job In which there isn't so many problems. This business definitely needs more than one person caring. Other than the mentioned above times, I don't think I have ever really experienced good nor great quality service. I had my hopes up after the last time I spoke to the young guy at this establishment, but I think it's time to try other places. I'd rather pay Napoli's more for the same kind of pizza and I know the pizza will be delicious and on time for me to pick up/deliver. read more

Just about the worst pizza lunch buffet ever. Is the staff even there? No one is available to ask for replenishment of buffet items. Salad bar is a joke-- iceberg lettuce and heavy creamy dressings. Its basic pizza, OK, crust, cheap cheese, pretty tasty sauce, and somewhat cheap toppings This gets 4 stars based on the service My little brother just had his second straight bday party at this location. Mom ordered 4 pizzas the size of the moon, and the owner turned TV to the game we wanted to watch, he bought me and my mom a couple of beers, and threw in a desert pizza as well. The restaurant is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I feel bad the guy works so hard to put out a mediocre product, but he totally makes the experience much better. I drive 15mins to this location in Benicia, because Vallejo's Mountain Mike's is one of the worst pizza joints on the planet. I was there in September, my first time there, took a bite out of one of the slices from the buffet. Got some red curly hair. The hair was baked into the crust, so it wasn't mine or another customer's... I looked in the back, and, lo, the cook had long red curly hair. I guess it slipped by the hair nets. Oh, wait, he wasn't wearing one. I was there in January. My second time there. Got ANOTHER hair. Bad luck? I hope so... I was back again in March for the lunch buffet. I don't think it's fair to give a bad review for one instance of a bad experience. Any thing can happen, I believe in giving everyone a second second chance. Well, they had 3 chances, first time we ate was great, second and third, struck out. One great does not fix two absolute wrongs. The first time: We ordered via their website, the order said it would be ready in 40 minutes. My wife went to go pick it up at the 40 minutes. When she arrived, the pizza wasn't ready, which is fine; the person who claimed to be the "Assistant Manager" said it would "be ready in 5 minutes". She opted to wait, and 7 minutes later, she asked the assistant manager, and he says "ready in 5 minutes". She asked where her pizza was, and the assistant manager said they had not yet started the pizza. *They had not even started the pizza* meaning the pizza dough wasn't put down, ingredients set, and put in the oven. She told me there were others waiting, but the same story was given to everyone else. I worked in a pizza delivery in college many years ago, and putting a pizza together is 3-7 minutes, but the baking takes at least 15-18 minutes. That pizza, even if they started, would take 25 minutes at least. Why give people an excuse that is not true? Why bother lie? Weak sauce The second time: We ordered 2 pizzas (Tuesday special), on the phone, and were told it would take 35 minutes. Knowing what we know, we gave them time and showed up at 40 minutes. Of course, the pizzas would not be ready. But my expectations were already not high... But we have faith in the taste of their pizza, even if their service wasn't so great. Well, they let us know the pizzas were ready, and when we were paying for them, I decided to check the pizzas out. Lo and behold, one pizza was right, the order was wrong. Ordered a Half Olive & Mushroom, Half Pepperoni & olive pizza. The pizza had mushrooms on the whole pizza. The pizza was barely warm... I would go as far as to say it was cold (unacceptable) and the pepperoni was not crispy... almost seemed uncooked. The whole reason why we go to mountain mike's is for the crispy pepperoni. Okay never ordering from this place again and emailing corporate for a refund! The pizza was 20 minutes late, cold and the dough wasn't cooked. Just looked in the boneless wings box and there are only 6 little wings in the box with 2 ranch dressings and one of the ranch dressings had crumbs of food in it. We used to love Mt Mikes Pizza in Benicia. Well, we used to. I think when you order a pizza there should be some resemblance to the photo representing the pizza on the menu......what we received was so disappointing. It's been awhile since I've been to a Mountain Mike's Pizza and I came in with low expectations due to the fact that I've read prior reviews but I was NOT disappointed. I came in and I was greeted by their staff and their workers: Natalie, Ahreeya, Bella and Ellaine were exceptional! My family and I had a good time here and we definitely will be coming back too. There was hardly any wait time for the pizza and we were surprised by how good it was. These hardworking girls definitely deserve more recognition! I should have known this was not going to be a good experience from the initial call to order my pizza. I was placed on hold for a couple of minutes then the gentleman taking my order made me repeat it multiple times and it was a simple order. We were told 40-45 minutes and an hour later I called to check. Worst Dinner Ever, ordered one large pizza with 2 types, i got a totally different pizza than the one i ordered, we begged them to get us Ranch, note that we were the first customers to order the place was empty, i also ordered Mozzarella sticks, and i wish i did not, we got them after half an hour after we got the pizza, and it was not even anything close to a mozzarella sticks. Our nephew just won a championship at a local high school and we wanted to celebrate, this place really put a damper on the evening! While working on a medical assignment in the the Bay Area,friends recommended this location for pizza. It turned out to be one of the worst places I have ever encountered. I called my order in and waited the 20 minutes that I as told before arriving at the location. After arriving, I paid for my order and was told that it would be ready in a minute or two. Well I waited over 29 minutes in the store and I asked the status of my order only to find out it was almost ready. After another five minutes the pizza finally arrived. I think this is quite unfair and not the way to treat a customer. I was not apologized to. But just given my pizza. I will never return to that location and after telling my friends of this incident, neither will they. This was really handled poorly. It was not a busy night and while engaging with another patron outside I found out she ordered 15 minutes after I did, yet received hers much earlier she ordered online. I was at Starbucks with a family member trying to figure out what we should eat for dinner and I looked over and saw Mountain Mike's, so we decided to check it out. The place is very spacious and clean. Since I wasn't familiar with their specialty pizza's, the cashier assisted us. We ordered a large Pike's Peak and a large pepperoni pizza to go. We sat down at a table and watched football on a flat screen tv. 12 minutes later our pizza's were ready. I didn't have to ask for parmesan cheese or red peppers because the very thoughtful cashier placed them in a paper bag with paper plates and napkins. UPDATE - my husband drove all the way back to return the pizza made wrong and they not only gave him a large pizza of the one he originally ordered but offered him a beer while he waited.
