I've been staying in moraga for a few months now and I can say that this is one of the better chain mountain mikes I have been too. With the clearly elite society it is operating in, it becomes more of a restaurant than chain location. Here is what I have to say: Okay so first off there lunch buffet is great, I go in now I'd say 2 days a week and have tried a multitude of different types of pizzas: chicken and white sauce, meat lovers, veggie, dessert pizza and the list goes on, there is a solid variety. If you get there around 11:15 or earlier it make take a 5-10 minutes for the pizza to come out I have noticed, but I am also usually the first customer of the day so to be expected. Don't want cold pizza. Also gives me time to eat the salad. Lunch buffet 4/5 Ambiance 5/5. With the 3 flat screens, I get a good view from any seat. Now for the delivery. I live roughly 4 miles away and when I placed the order, the man on the phone stated it would take roughly 50 minutes. I was like ok, that kind of a long time but whatever. The pizza guy got here in less than 30 though. Pizza was piping hot and he was super polite, commenting on my 49ers flag I had up. (Clearly going for a tip, but hey everyone got to make their money). Pizza was hot, just like if I had ordered take out myself and drove home. Pretty much the same thing. 5/5 Delivery, the drivers do expect a tip. Overall I'll be back when I'm in the mood for a thick, hearty pizza. read more

I was visiting the bay area to visit my daughter and during the meeting I was driving around the bay area. I stopped at this place because I was in mood for a pizza. The location is really in a very cool area in the mountain top. I loved this place and the fact they have a game area as well. As for pizza I think I would have to say that it has been one of the best pizza I have had. It was so good that when I was in a close proximity on Sunday I drove again to have the pizza. Sometimes you would think that once was a luck however even the second time the pizza so good that I had originally thought i would have to pack the remaining slices however I just couldn't resist eating the while pizza. Their beer selection is limited however it was an outstanding combination. If I am in this area again I would surely stop by here. I read a few reviews about the service, however I received an amazing service, the staff was more than willing to serve for my needs. While I was speaking to the cashier to make the payment for the second pizza I learnt that they do not use any frozen for their ingredients which was a great plus and that they bring fresh vegetables every morning. read more

Mountain Mikes is my favorite pizza place! Their pizza is always fresh and delicious as they use high quality real cheese, fresh ingredients and house made fresh dough as opposed to other pizza franchise restaurants. Service is friendly and fast, and the place is nice and clean. They serve beer and wine. Cold Pale Ale goes very nicely with a slice of McKinley, my favorite specialty pizza! The restaurant has been there many years. It is our favorite spot to stop by for a bite after shopping at TJ Maxx and Homegoods at the Rheem shopping center. read more

Doesnt look like much when you walk past. but i was practically dying of hunger so i popped in. It was really a clean spot . I got a Combination Pizza and wow ....there are no words. A classic pizza done right, crispy and full of meat and vegetables . Definitely stuffed with all the essentials . It is actually a lot of variety and a big menu including salads appetizers and drinks . you definitely cant go wrong with this pizza place period. Not only is their pizza amazing, but the delivery ztime is Quick. My wife and I love to order delivery for the kids when we go out for our date nights. We live in the deeper parts of orinda and they still deliver! 30-40 minutes tops. Once they forgot our ranch but they were happy to send the driver back with it and along with a discount. Mountain Mikes is right around the corner from my apartment and is super convenient. I think they recently changed ownership but the service has always been great and the pizza is one of my favorites. I am not giving them 5 stars since the salad bar could be better. Sometimes I go to Mountain Mike's in Rheem Center after shopping at TJMaxx and HomeGoods in the same shopping center. I love their pizza. My favorite is Chicken Club and Veggiemore. Pineapple Chicken Luau is an another must try. Their store is nice and clean and employees are pleasant. I always leave happy! read more
