False advertising! The electronic menu board on the wall has the wrong prices!!! Went in for lunch buffet and on the menu board it says $9.99. But then the cashier rang me up for $12.99. I pointed at the menu and she said "oh, those are our old prices" and then pointed to a paper menu taped by the cashier with higher prices. I then looked and sure enough most of the prices on the electronic menu are wrong and they are charging higher prices that are only stated on the paper menu. When I told her they should change it or turn it off she just shrugged. No apology, no acknowledgement that it was wrong. Very poor business practice. read more

We came in today for lunch at 1:24. We asked to have the all you can eat buffet. We've been frequenting Mountain Mikes regularly on Thursday nights before Walnut Creek softball games since 2010. We have always felt welcome and at home as we grew from young singles, to couples with infants and young children. We are regulars that have seen the staff weather the pandemic and come out on the other side with upgrades and new flooring to boot! They keep everyone's health and safety in mind with modifications to prevent exposure by servicing the salad bar, cleaning tables between use, and using disposable plates. Called for a pick up order, when my boyfriend went in to pick up they gave him the wrong wings. he asked the employee if that's what we ordered and he confirmed it was bbq even though i ordered buffalo on the phone. Then when i call the store to let them know they gave us the wrong order the employee on the line confirms it was in fact buffalo wings that i ordered and they gave us the wrong wings. I started eating their boneless chicken wings.. I was in the store and saw and asked about the promotional sign for their wings in which I was buying; I wanted to see if I could get the promotion this time or next. They didn't know what the sign was for, and didn't have the words to tell me that it was an old promotion; just that the sign had been there over a year which took a lot of inquiry (kind of annoyed at that point). Then I go to eat my non-promotional wings, and they didn't even put sauce on them, which makes them not wings. I threw the wings away and I'm never buying them again. This mountain Mike's is a bummer. Each time I come in, there's not a single person Inside eating. The decor is bland, no comfy booths just uncomfortable tables and chairs, multiple light bulbs out and a so so staff. For a pizza joint, I want a cool environment that makes you want to sit back, have a beer and some pizza and stay awhile! Nothing about this location is fun or feels fun... The salad bar has a lot of great options - it was my favorite thing about their afternoon buffet. All the typical toppings you find on a good salad bar, and it was really clean. The veggies were crisp and fresh and the ranch dressing was alright. The pizza selections were mostly meat-covered. I loved the crispy little pepperonis, but I'm more of a vegetarian pizza person so I was disappointed in the selection of veggie slices. And the one they had wasn't a great choice. Bell pepper slices isn't a great vegetarian pizza. How about tomato and olive and mushrooms, and all those great veggies you have on your salad bar? Make something exciting for lunch. It's still a good deal, but competing salad/pizza buffets have slightly better selections for about the same price. read more

$60 for two medium pizzas, paid for online and I tried to get a side of ranch for my son. The guy at the counter wanted to charge me for ranch, when there is a bunch of little ramekins within arms reach at the salad bar. So, no ranch. I'm sorry but I'm not putting a charge on my Apple Pay just for ranch (and you know that tip screen pops up) only to walk to my car and see the order isn't even correct. So I'm standing here, waiting for one pizza to be remade while my other pizza gets cold and I still have to come home without ranch. Last Friday made the biggest mistake at dinner time. We ordered an Everest from mountain mikes. The picture looks great. What we got was a hot mess. A disgusting pie of molten hot cheese by the ton with a million little olives in it. There were 3 or 4 strategically placed small slices of green peppers and a bunch of sliced onions. Mountain mikes in Walnut Creek is by far my favorite location. I have ordered at many other locations but this location seems to have it completely right. They make my pizza with love and actually take pride in the product they serve without shortcuts or being stingy. I had placed my order over the phone and soon as I got there I see the staff washing hands after every pizza taking the precautionary steps to sanitize everything people are touching as they stand there waiting on their order. I'am happy they are taking steps in these trying times of the pandemic to look out for There customers and deliver a quality pizza every time.
