I've been to this brewery 3 times, in 2021, 2022 and 2026. On every visit I have ordered a different IPA. On my June 17 visit I was heading to Mammoth Lakes. I proudly brought in my Mountain Rambler glass growler. A friendly young woman was behind the counter helped me and I asked if I could have my growler filled with their Hell Diver Hazy IPA. I had never had this IPA and did not get a sample. That night at my campsite at Tom's Place that's when I enjoyed my beer and it was delicious. On one of my future visits I will have to try their food because there was a lot of people eating their burgers, pizza and salads and it looked and smelled great.

Waitress was awesome definitely was able to provide exceptional drink options. Great vibes. Place is super chill. Food was amazing the sauces and flavors were all amazing to the palette

Disappointed with the wait. It took over 35min to get our food without any indication or warning. Many others seemed to be annoyed with the wait too for their food. The garlic fries are good and the rambler burger was good according to my friends. The Reuben was kinda mid. Dry and chewy/rough pastrami. The brussel sprouts were decent but the tahini was a bit too wet and not thickened enough.

An incredibly open concept dining area gives incredible mountain vibes. The friendly staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. Although I wasn't there to drink I did elect for their raspberry lemon "shrub" (non-alcoholic) and it was the best thing I enjoyed there! The chicken sandwich was exactly as advertised and satiated my appetite. My SO got a baked potato with bacon and broccoli (bacoccoli?) and I lowkey wished that's what I ordered... shhh don't tell her. Ultimately this place is a great pit stop on the way to Mammoth, I'll definitely be back!

My coworkers and I were in Bishop for a work trip and stopped by Mountain Rambler Brewery for a late dinner (kitchen open until 9pm). Our visit happened to coincide with Locals' Night on a Wednesday and we enjoyed the live music and lively atmosphere. Mountain Rambler has a lot of food options, and between the three of us in our group, we got to try a great mix of a burger with garlic fries, a pastrami sandwich with regular fries, a sweet potato empanada with chimichurri, and a hummus and pita plate. Everything was tasty and the portions were definitely filling. I agree with some other reviews that mentioned the pastrami was cut a little thick; while tasty, it was sometimes tough to bite through. My coworkers also got some brews to try, which they enjoyed. The service was friendly and prompt and it was a nice spot to hang out and enjoy some good food. The Happy Hour menu also looked like there were some great deals!

A favorite when visiting Bishop, CA. Located toward the south of the main town & on the east side of SR395. Beers are tasty. Business is family friendly. We split the Rambler burger & it was awesome! Home-made ice cream made daily. Friendly staff. Worth a stop if you're in Bishop. Our awesome servers were Laila & her co-worker

I had a long way to travel on Hwy 395. Driving for several hours in a day is tiring, and you look forward to the rest stops for refreshments. My travel companion and I stopped to try a wee dram of the Scottish Ale and a basket of fries. I enjoyed the Scottish Ale a lot! Very robust and bursting withalt flavor. The fries were fresh and piping hot and so good, as well. I would've liked to have spent a couple of hours there , but we had to press on with our journey.

I live in Bishop and have been here quite a few times. The food is always good and I like to sample the beers. It can be crowded and noisy, especially on music nights. Not my style. Today, 11:30 am on a Sunday, the restaurant is hopping, but not crowded. Definitely pleasantly quiet. I am watching two men playing chess and several families enjoying their lunch. We got the soup of the day (chicken tortilla) + grilled cheese and a hamburger with fries. Just a tiny tasted of the stout. The soup was delicious. Nothing fancy. I like that. I could have gone without the grilled cheese. The soup was enough. The hamburger was as expected. The stout was a dessert drink. Very sweet and chocolate. The staff said many people order my size as dessert. We got the homemade ice cream. Very good. A nice finish. You can split it. Overall a pleasant lunch.

We were staying overnight in Bishop, CA while on a road trip to Reno. I saw that there was a brewery just down the street from our motel. There is live music on Wednesday with local artists. I like craft beer and my wife likes dessert and live music so we stopped at Mountain Rambler Brewery. It was full of happy people enjoying tasty food and brews whole jamming to Milo who entertained us tonight. I had a flight of 3 IPAs and a pale ale while my wife had a huge lemon square. Need a good place to get over hump day? Check out Mountain Rambler Brewery!

Last Chance (Kettle Sour Prickly Pear and Raspberry)

Mountain Rambler Brewery is a super cozy and small brewery with great quality food and drinks. As soon as I walked in, the smell of fresh pizza hit me, and I knew I had to order it. Between the 3 of us, we ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and the Asian chicken salad. The salad was fresh, and the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked--not dry at all. The pizza was amazing, with chunks of chicken, thinly sliced tomatoes, and red onions. I couldn't stop eating it--it was so addicting! The salad and pizza was more than enough to split between the 3 of us as well. To pair with my pizza, I ordered the Last Chance Sour (Kettle Sour with Prickly Pear and Raspberry) and the Apple Cider. Both drinks were delicious and had a tart flavor rather than being overly sweet, which I really enjoyed. The place was very crowded when we got there, so finding a table for a group of 6 was a bit of a challenge. Wait times for ordering and food can be long because of how busy it gets as well. However, the high-quality food and drinks make it totally worth it! Another nice touch is that you can order drinks through your phone, so you don't have to wait in the long line again if you want another round. This is a really great spot to hang out with friends after a long day of outdoor adventuring in the Bishop area and I would definitely come back here again when I am in the area again!

Hell Diver Hazy IPA ABV: 6.5 IBU: 40

Stopped at Mountain Rambler in Bishop because, let's be honest, no road trip is complete without "hydrating" with beer. Went with a hazy and a stout, because variety is the spice of life (and also because I like to pretend I know what I'm doing). The hazy looked like someone poured a glass of OJ and whispered the word "IPA" over it. Juicy, smooth, citrusy -- basically the IPA for people who want hops without getting punched in the taste buds. I could write something about "mouthfeel," but really it just felt like... beer in my mouth. A good one. The stout? Dark as my humor and smoother than my last apology text. Roasty, chocolatey, maybe even a hint of "my life is together now that I'm drinking this." Honestly, it's like coffee's cooler cousin who shows up late to brunch but pays for the whole check. So yeah -- Bishop might be small, but this place pours big. If you want fancy adjectives like "terroir" and "lacing," go read a beer blog. If you want two pints that will make you happy you stopped, just sit down and order.

Free chips and the sauces are super fresh. My god some of the best chips I've had. We got the ceviche - fire and fresh AF. Western burger was PHENOMENAL. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found the place almost empty. The interior had was San Diego-themed, with sports memorabilia as decor and a large TV screen. We ordered some chips Tortilla Chips, Guacamole, and Salsa for the table to start with. We were a party of 6, and the size of the Guacamole was honestly comical. I think we were each able to get a single scoop. The salsa was decent, but the Tortilla Chips were extremely salty. They had a long list of specials, and I ordered the Shrimp Ceviche from that list. This was fine, but far from the best ceviche of my life. My friends said the same of their meals, including the Fish Tacos and Surf & Turf Burrito. Everything was just okay. Service was good but not the quickest!

We travel through Bishop once or twice a year. We know the Schat's bakery gets all the love, but…read morethe Roadhouse?? Yes please!!! Hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch on our journey home after a quick trip to Disneyland the day prior. It's a long drive, so Bishop is about halfway to home. We don't like traveling with leftovers, so we often share a meal. Yesterday was the Bluey Armstrong burger with a side of the garlic Parmesan fries. The burger was great! Juicy, cooked to perfection, and so flavorful. But the fries? For the love of all that's good those fries sent me on a trip straight to heaven. I wouldn't say I'm a fry snob, but I do know what I like, and these were possibly the best garlic parm fries I've ever had. So much so that I told my hubby I'd recommend going on a 6 hour girls' trip just for the fries. (My gal pals and I do weird trips for stuff like this.) Long story short(ish) stop here for food. You will be saying "get in my belly" with the only regret that it isn't closer to your home. Unless you live in Bisho, in which case you are a lucky person.

The burger had an excellent, super-crunchy bun, and it stayed firm and didn't get soggy. It tasted homemade, but it was definitely a little too fatty for me. The patty was well-seasoned and juicy, and the other components were good, though I wasn't a big fan of the sauce--it was a bit too salty. The fries were amazing--really crunchy and well-seasoned. Service was good, and the ambiance was nice overall.

Unfortunately, ever since the ownership changed, the experience has gone downhill. The customer service is consistently rude and unwelcoming. It feels like staff are irritated just having to take your order. The food is now overpriced for the quality you get, which is a big change from how it used to be. I stopped going for about a year, but recently decided to give it another chance. I called in an order for myself and my disabled grandfather, who only has one arm. I politely asked multiple times if they could please cut the steak for him and even explained why. They clearly seemed annoyed by the request. When I picked up the food, everything looked rushed and just thrown into the boxes--and the steak was not cut. The rest of the meal was just as disappointing. The taquitos were plain with only cheese on top--no sides like guacamole or sour cream, especially disappointing for the price. The loaded potato wasn't even "loaded," just a plain potato. Between the poor service, lack of care, and declining food quality, this place is nothing like it used to be. It's honestly sad to see something that used to feel welcoming and enjoyable turn into somewhere I now dread going. I wouldn't recommend stopping here anymore. There are better places in town that actually value their customers.

For Andres, we ordered the venison and duck. My husband was worried about the venison, but Daniel assured him that he would find it very tender. Both of the nails were very good, but I think we ended up preferring the venison. The plates were beautifully prepared and served. Our food came out within about 15 minutes. We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth.
