Good music. Great beer selection which to me means not 80% IPA's and Triple IPA's. Staff was friendly. Loved the serve-your-own water bar -- very handy especially in the heat of summer. Great people watching with a steady stream of clientele. We ordered the chicken wings which are not really my go-to so it was on a whim. They were really tasty - not overly spicy but a nice flavor. Dwayne at Mountain Rambler Brewery. He's here often and asks EVERYONE for handouts. Today he is sitting here by himself but he's still asking for money and food.... Not asking for a seat next to me(which is his usual MO). I've watched patrons here move inside just to get away from him. Today he was yelling that "I should call the police or Sherriff's office". This has happened way too many times in my experience and the staff just shrug it off and allow him to hang out. I've personally witnessed a patron get aggressively pursued by this person to the point that Dwayne insisted on sitting at his table. The patron left his dinner and went inside and complained to the staff... and I followed him inside to witness this complaint. After the staff poo pooed the complaint saying that the guy was harmless.... I supported the guy's complaint. Later they served Dwayne a free drink. I complained about him just now. He's back again. Went to Bishop for a couple day's to get away and I was pleasantly surprised to find a killer little brewery in town. I tried a variety of their beers. All were delicious, I even enjoyed the beer cheese french fries. Forgot to take a picture of the food, cause I was enjoying the beautiful mountain views. The service was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the IPA's. If you're ever in town grab a beer and chat with the locals. read more

Great empanada. I had the beef with mozzarella. Brussels sprouts excellent and simple with olive oil and salt. The wife and daughter had grilled cheese and soup and mentioned how hearty and nice it was on a cold windy evening. Enjoyed IPA not sure the name. Around $7 a beer and they have happy hour we just missed that discounts $1off.The chocolate brownie with brown porter was amazing and approved by the whole family.Parking is always easy. Varied hipster crowd of clientele but it's ok. All seem welcome. read more

Came here on my way back from snowboarding in Mammoth on a Sunday night and there was barely anyone in there before 4am. Had the chicken tortilla soup and it was so good: it was a pretty large portion. Who doesn't like big things? Then tried their Apple cinnamon empanada, because I hadn't eaten and was hungrier than a hostage. I also sipped on a delicious blonde ale, the Venusian, @ only 4.8% alcohol content. -Don't laugh at me- I'm lightweight ! Enjoyed the vibe and all the mountain-loving people, especially all the men with beards. Thanks guys! I ate at Mountain Rambler Brewery several times over a week of rambling in the Bishop area. There's nothing better than sitting outside and looking at 10,000 feet of elevation gain while enjoying your meal. Vegan friendly burgers. Go for the burger made with Impossible, if you like that fast food taste. Their house-made patty has much more flavor. Very good. Fries are fine -- the usual. Everyone has their taste in beer. Mine is amber and MRB has a fine example. read more

Great beer, delicious food. There was indoor and outdoor seating available. A guitarist was providing music on Locals Night and the crowd was enjoying the tunes. You ordered at the counter and the food was brought to you. I indulged in the Asian Chicken Salad, fresh lettuce, tasty chicken, nicely arranged Mandarin oranges. Solid brewery experience after a long hot day of hiking! They currently have outdoor seating available, and while their restrooms are closed to the public they have a port-o-potty outside for use. They have a great selection of different beers on tap and we enjoyed our light picks of a Belgian Wit and Blonde. Loved this place! Tons of variety on beers & a small but yummy food menu. They followed all COVID regulations & food came out within 15 minutes. The crispy Brussel sprouts were lemony & sweet potato fries came with 3 dipping sides. I have no complaints on food at all. Definitely would love to come here when we can dine in, but for the time being it is worth visiting for take out. read more

Burgers are great! Ambience is on the loud side but you can talk. Sometimes they have live music. Good casual vibe. Service is slow and inconsistent. (Been twice and both times they were slooow.). Would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the wait on food. read more

Staying in the area for the work trip and came here around from approx 3pm to 5pm. I got a guest tap cider and it was great. The crowd was great and a mixture of locals, outdoor sportsmen/women and a solo crowd. I came here solo and I felt wonderful. The space is open and it's easy to work, relax, etc. the ambiance and music was beautifully paired w the sharped/snow capped mtns peaking through the window. The outside patio was also lovely to soak in the mountain sun and feast your eyes on the cute pups. Highly recommend for anyone passing thru whether for business travel and/or leisure. read more

By a Yelp search, we crossed through an ally to get to the Mountain Rambler brewery in the plaza across the street. Staff checked on all other guests [white] and seemed extra chatty, while we were never checked on or so much as offered napkins. After a long Hike in Big Pine lakes we needed a nice cool beer and something hearty to eat & this place had great reviews and it didn't disappoint. I loved that they had Hard Kombucha and a great selection of food. The burger and fries were delicious and the food came out pretty quick. Stopped here after a long day of climbing, the place was PACKED! I'm sure it was also so packed inside because it's freezing out right now. The food was really good for a small brewery, parking was kind of tough with how crowded it was, but eventually found a spot. I got the regular burger and my boyfriend got the chicken sandwich, both were very good. Super bummed out by the food service here. The previous visit wasn't bad so we decided to come back but that was a mistake. Luckily we weren't super hungry otherwise it would've been really bad. I saw many tables with numbers (for food) and people not looking too happy after I placed our order. Long story short, the food for all the tables came out at the same time. Even people waiting way before me got there food at the same time as ours. WTF? If you're short staffed, then just say so. Don't just let customers wait ridiculous amounts of time for their food.
