    Pike place market chowder
    Richard U.

The last option for food and drink at the very end of gate A! Honestly I was pretty happy with my choices. The fried chicken wings were definitely freshly cooked and really crispy! Tangy buffalo sauce was nice. Pike place chowder is ubiquitous and featured at many of the eateries at the airport and this place is no different. Comforting and familiar! Service was very friendly and attentive. Not a bad option when you are at the very end of the terminal!

Western Omelette with Seasoned Potatoes and 2 slices Sourdough Bread

Seattle Airport is an interesting one, but coming from the world's busiest, I can't be too critical. The A Terminal twists and turns with plenty of restaurants along the way, but by the time you reach Gate A12, you're at the very end with little energy to walk back. Luckily, Mountain Bar Room is right there, and it turned out to be a solid choice. My flight boarded at 11 a.m., and breakfast was served until 10:15. I went with the western omelete, which came with seasoned potatoes and two slices of sourdough bread, plus an apple juice. The total was about $38 with tip--definitely airport pricing, but the meal was filling and hit the spot for my 5.5-hour flight.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I walked in and politely asked if I could have a simple cup of water. Instead of helping me, the employees immediately told me they couldn't just give out cups of water. I was honestly surprised because it's just water, and I would have gladly left a tip for the courtesy. What made the experience even worse was the way I was treated. At first, I was turned away and told to go buy a bottle of water from a vending machine instead. When I questioned why they couldn't provide a cup of water, one of the employees told me, "Well, we're a restaurant. We're not just going to give it out." That response came across as rude and completely lacking in basic customer service. Refusing someone a cup of tap water while directing them to a vending machine over something that costs the business virtually nothing is incredibly stingy. It left me with the impression that this establishment values making a few extra dollars over showing basic kindness and hospitality. If this is the level of customer service this restaurant stands for, it's extremely disappointing. A simple cup of water should not become an issue, especially when it could have been an opportunity to create a positive interaction with a potential customer. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and frustrated. Based on this experience, I can't recommend this restaurant. Hopefully, management takes customer service more seriously in the future and empowers employees to handle simple requests with a little more courtesy and common sense.

    Clam chowder

I should have checked the rating before I dine in. I got the clam chowder. It's served on paper bowl. It's warm but not hot. Flavor is ok. Service is ok. They don't accept cash.

Had a layover at SeaTac and came across Mountain Room Bar near the gate. It was pretty empty at the time. There is a full bar and tv's around. Dining area not too big. Menu is simple and service was just ok. Ordered the breakfast bagel sandwich with bacon which came with a side of potatoes. Food came out fast. Food was ok and server just didn't seem to be too attentive. Ate, paid and left.

Two servers were very busy and adequately attentive, friendly and upbeat, while customers continued in and out of the restaurant

Food was quickly served and hot on arrival. The menu was limited so I ordered the burger with fries. Delicious hot burger, I enjoyed very much. Staff was busy busy but continued to check in, keep the drinks full (mine anyway). Pleasant to customers in a playful way. Appreciated the ambiance My only complaint is my fries were mushy. Crispy, Tasted good and seasoned well .. just the texture, a little different . Perhaps some prefer them that way .

This was one of those rare occasions where I didn't look at reviews first. The airport was freezing. What brought me in here was the inviting fireplace. I parked it at a high top and service was fine. Can recommend the Pikes chowder, even if it's served in a cardboard bowl with a plastic spoon. Wine was not the best and really not worth the $13 charge per glass. A cup of hot tea was good and for just under $4.

    There's an omelette under there...LOL!

After 7 nights of cruise food, we were ready to try something new and local. Sharp's was only 5 minutes from our hotel, and highly rated, so I figured we would give it a shot. We arrived at the restaurant to a full parking lot with people standing outside. However, when we went in, the wonderful hostess informed us there was no wait. The seater showed us to our table, and chatted with us about our day along the way. He also explained the 3 menus that he gave us, and informed us we were right in time for happy hour. Our server, Sam, greeted us promptly, and she was so incredibly welcoming to our family, answering questions about the menu items. It was so hard to decide what to order, so we ordered several small plates (Brisket nachos, Wings, Brisket tacos, fries, and mac and cheese, along with the complimentary cornbread). To our surprise, everything came out so quickly. This was probably the fastest service I've ever had at a restaurant. The servers who delivered our food were friendly and welcoming as well. Not only that, EVERYTHING we ate was phenomenal. The fries were flavorful and perfectly salted, the wings were fantastic, and the brisket nachos? Wow....the brisket was some of the best we've ever had, and the nacho chips even stood out. The biggest compliment is from our 15 year old who said that the mac and cheese is some of the best pasta she's ever had. Throughout the whole meal, Sam was so attentive and chatting with us about the restaurant and dessert options. I truly enjoyed everything about our experience. The food and service both were top notch. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is that I'll have to book another flight to Seattle from Michigan to eat there. Charcoal Grilled Pork Chop: coconut-ginger braised collard greens, grilled spring onion, pork jus, wasabi butter (4/5). The Double cut portion was cooked to medium. It was tender, juicy, and the juices had a sweetness to it. The wasabi butter was good and not overpowering. I'd order this again. Superfood Salad: white bean hummus, quinoa, kale, carrots, blueberries, golden berries, cashews, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, avocado, herbs, feta, lemon-sesame vinaigrette (4/5). My wife really enjoyed her salad. I admit it was full of good ingredients but a tad bit heavy-handed on the dressing. Don't get me wrong the vinaigrette was delicious. My husband and I were visiting the Burien Farmer's Market and decided to stop in for lunch here. The day before our area experienced a heat wave. Apparently this effected this place of business. There were fans going everywhere, no a/c in place; I was hesitant to enter and I should have gone with my instincts. It wasn't awful so that we couldn't stand it, so we stayed. We had a very friendly waitress, wish I could remember her name but she was very good. I ordered a peach tea and my husband ordered a cider, I believe it was pineapple and another fruit based. I ordered the Ahi Taco Wrap and my husband ordered the Luna Fish and Chips. My husband's drink arrived with an apology from another server as she poured the wrong drink for him. He was gracious and took it anyway. Out come our plates. I tasted my husbands fish and found it seriously lacking in flavor; nothing great here. Now let's get to my Ahi wrap; I had serious issues with this. This includes tuna, avocado, cilantro lime coleslaw with chipotle aioli and lime on the side. House made chips and salsa were included. The wrap was hugely disappointing. The ratio of tuna to coleslaw was seriously off. 90 percent of this wrap was coleslaw. The chips weren't fresh and the salsa was just ok, had a sweet type of base, which I don't like in my salsa. The lime included was stale and I couldn't get a drop out of this. The chipotle was so so. The coleslaw had no distinctive cilantro lime flavor. This dish was entirely disappointing and priced at 19.95. Never again. My husband's dish had two pieces of fish and was priced at 18.50. So after the cost of the drinks, the meal was over 60. Shame on us for a few things: 1. For not looking closely at the prices 2. And for most importantly, for simply not grabbing a decently priced hot dog at the farmers market. I'm positive this would have been better and a better deal. We will not be back to this place. The only reason I gave this a one star was for the waitress and the peach tea. Seriously.
