Lemon rice, goat curry, butter chicken, & some other stuff (forgot names whoops)

The goat curry, butter chicken, and butter naan were my favorites! $40 (including tax!) total for 2 people. What a wonderful, effortless lunch experience on THANKSGIVING, no less!!! We will be back :)

    Buffet!

We were craving an Indian buffet so we decided to try this place out. For some reason we were the only ones there for the entire duration of the meal, so it felt a bit weird. Here are some of my thoughts and observations: - I wish they had more different dishes to try. They had around 6 types of main dishes, 1 rice, and 1 pakora/samosa option. I feel like most Indian buffets have at least 10+ different options including biryani. - I liked the flavors of the dishes, especially the butter chicken, but I thought the food was generally quite cold. They needed to heat it. - I thought all the meats were not really tender and a bit overcooked. - I did really enjoy the naan especially when it came fresh out of the oven as it was very flaky and tender. Although when it sat out for too long, the naan unfortunately became cold and hard as it did not hold much of its shape. Not sure if I would come back but it was a good experience!

We love the buffet, the garlic naan, and the goat is the GOAT!!! . My son and I came here for his birthday celebratory meal today and what a celebration! Thank you! We love this spot!

    Great Indian Cuisine & UberEats...

Becareful using Uber Eats on this restaurant. We used it. This restaurant kept insisting nothing received from Uber Eats. Had us pay again. At the end, our Uber Eats credits gone and we paid them again. Yes, you do deal with UberEats. It's straight from your website too.(see photo). It's not very honest business for not admitting you already got paid by UberEats, and had us pay again.

naan, chicken tikka masala, Veggie Korma

pretty solid indian food for an affordable price! they have buffet style for $17.99 (add $2 for naan), or you could order items and pay for them separately. the chicken tikka masala was a little spicy in my opinion, and the chicken was a little hard. the veggie korma and naan were delicious though. service is standard. ambiance is casual and chill, you order at the front and your food is brought to you. would recommend stopping by this unassuming spot!

Veggie Samosa (2 pcs), dripping oil.

I order for delivery. I'm in town on business so my delivery was to my hotel room. It was fast and right to my door. The food was packed perfectly and it was nice and hot...but there were no cutlery included. The food was not tasty. I had the butter chicken which was too greasy and salty, yet lacked any flavor. The rice was decent. I had the veggie samosas, too, the filling was good, but the pastries were soaked in oil, way too much especially for an order that included no napkins. I could not finish my food.

Over the years, this location had been a few restaurants. Last time I passed through this door it was a Mexican restaurant. Sadly shortly thereafter that restaurant closed. Nevertheless, this Indian restaurant has occupied this space for probably 10 years. I must say dinning at an Indian restaurant is a new experience for my wife and I. We have been to one place in Central Valley numerous times, but it is high end. We decided to try this place yesterday and our overall experience was great! Apparently they are known for their buffet, but I had no interest. We ordered Butter Chicken, Jerra Rice, Lamb Biryani and Chili Garlic Naan. We had a difficult time trying to understand what was in Biryani dish other than it was spicy and had lamb. The guy who brought it to our table was friendly and spoke English well. Had we known the Biryani was more of a rice dish, we wouldn't have ordered the other rice. All was very good. The Butter Chicken looked different than the one I had before, but was very tender. Parts of the lamb dish were chewy and had a lot of rice. Very flavorful. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.

YESSS finally!! I have been on a hunt for indian dinner buffet for so long. My favorite place off Hostetter closed down during COVID and I was so sad. A lot of indian buffets are usually during lunch time weekday, and I can never go because of work. I love indian buffets because I get to try a variety of things that I would never personally order otherwise. It was my first time coming here and was meeting a friend here. I was so confused when driving here, it looks like SOMEONES HOUSE! but I pulled in and saw marked parking spots on the side. There were probably 5 parking spots but there are definitely more by the sidewalk if there isn't any more room. Anyways I walk up to the door that looks like a house door, and into a restaurant. it's a smaller restaurant, but has abundant seating. There were only one or two other tables besides me and my friend. They gave us water and utensils right away. We went up to the buffet line. it says you use one tray or two plates for buffet. not sure if that means you are only allowed that many plates, no more if you finish over that amount. Did not get a chance to ask or wonder about it since I got really full from one tray There were an assortment of curries to choose from, some fried snacks, chicken, rice, and yogurt. The goat curry was spicy and so delicious -- probably one of my favorites there! it has that nice gamey kick. The chicken tikka masala + butter chicken were creamy and flavorful, and the chicken was tender. tandoori chicken was a bit dry and had one left when I got there (645pm on a weeknight). Im sure they restocked. I also enjoyed their malai kofta and palak paneer! Their mini samosa and pakora were crispy too. I passed on the rice and did not have room for yogurt. At the beginning of dinner, the server asked us if we wanted garlic naan, which we said yes to and he brought it out steaming hot! It was so fluffy and good, perfect amount for my friend and me. Pricing was good too, under $20 per person for the buffet. would definitely come again!

    32 oz Goat Curry
    Brandom K.

I been coming here from when they first opened years ago. I had nost of their dish but the one dish I always get is the goat curry to go. It has a nice deep flavor and a little hint to spiciness. The price for 32oz togo was $27.27. Pretty pricy these day because of inflation.. so unfortunately can't eat it often.

    Erich L.

Still one of my favorites. Years ago I found out about this place from a chef friend who described the food as "a grandmother must be in the kitchen cooking." I've been coming here for years it's always great! Casual service and easy for takeout. You can easily order online. For dining in they have the full menu and a buffet that is popular especially at lunch time. Dinner buffet is $17.99. They rotate the items and include a dessert. Always served with fresh naan bread. Great value for a tasty meal. I recommend ordering takeout online rather than calling it is much easier.

I would not have known about this place if it wasn't for the reel. I'm also not familiar with Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. Thought I'd give it a shot. Not the biggest of venues, it a bit small on the inside, they have few benches and tables outside. Parking wasn't an issue, plenty of spaces in the parking lot. The staff was very helpful and informative. This is a fast casual spot with table service. They do bring the food to you, but you can help yourself to everything else afterwards, is: water, sauces, napkins etc. #SyrianEats: WRAP: ~ SHAWARMA: Damascus style CHICKEN - 5/5 Absolutely DELISH!! Love the garlic spread that came on the side. The wrap was already tasty enough, but somehow it was even tastier with the Garlic spread. Even the fries that came with it were spectacular! That drizzle pomegranate molasses... just DELISH!! This was one of the best wraps I had Stateside. Actually the best! PLATE: ~ MANSAF - 5/5 The Lamb shank was excellent as well! Tender fall of the bone with flavor galore, and the butter sauce was amazing as well...delish! The rice that came with the Lamb shank was OK. These days it's always at the front of my mind that food spots that call themselves "Middle Eastern" or "Mediterranean" truly divulge who is the owner and chefs are. I'm talking about only eating from restaurants that can name the country their food comes from be it Falasteen, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, the list goes on. Holyland is located in the industrial part of Santa Clara, and they boast lots of interior seating (great for large parties and group meals) and also run a catering service. So there's loads of parking and plenty of space. My friend and I were hungry, so I got the lamb kofta and he had the beef plates. We were SO happy. It comes with a light tangy salad, delicious hummus with a kick of spice, a bed of delicious yellow rice and slender pita bread. They also have serve-yourself hot cardamom tea which is so delicious and perfect. They also serve a bunch of other refrigerated drinks like Salaam Cola and kefir. The mezze plate with x4 different dips looks so yummy, I would get that next time with a large group to share. Will definitely head back with a larger group. We saw other diners from couples, to solo to large families eating. The interior could use some sprucing up, but the quality of the food, staff, and authenticity of the place is #1. Delicious. I haven't had Xinjiang/Uyghur cuisine before eating here, but it's delicious! While the noodles are often in oil-based flavorings, they are never too heavy as the herbs and spices balance the light oil. Everything has lots of flavor, though if you can't eat lots of oil, some dishes may not be for you. The hand-pulled noodles are very long, so if you are sharing a dish, you may be pulling them out for a while or end up grabbing the same noodle as someone else. The restaurant is on the smaller side and with only 1 larger table seating 5-7 realistically, so tables of 2-4 will be seated quicker. Unique food truck in Bay Area! This isn't just a food joint but it's an experience!…read more Vegetarian reviewer: To start with, I am not usually a big fan of too many eggs on my plate, but I thoroughly enjoyed their innovative creations. They have interesting dishes with paneer and chicken as well. We ordered two dishes- Leela lasun keema - This dish was intriguing, with cheese, grated egg, and a rich, spicy gravy. The portion size was generous; a single person won't be able to finish it with just three breads. It was very filling, we took back home the leftover and enjoyed it later with some rotis. They have another version of this- "kachu" with runny eggs instead of grated eggs.. well thought option! Volcano egg biryani- The dish is as interesting as its name suggests. The base is an omelette, and the rice is flavorful with bell peppers, finely chopped veggies, and aromatic spices. The center is with a tomato-based curry. The cheese on the side was amazing, and I loved it. The spicy guava drink is super refreshing with a playful mix of spice, salt, sourness, and the sweetness of guava. I really enjoyed it! They have music playing and the place is lit, creating a total vibe for spending time in the evening on a lazy weekend/ after work, or post-workout. The food is pure indulgence and covered our protein requirements with eggs, along with some fat to burn off. Kinda guilt free. Also, they have games, garba events and other many interesting things going on at different times. Superb vibes, never disappoints! Conveniently located in Sunnyvale - easy to find parking.
