    Wonton and spicy oil
    Darcey H.

I'm always on the hunt for good quality, extra flavorful dumplings of all varieties. Steamed, boiled, pan fried. I'm an equal opportunity dumpling lover. And Mr. Dumpling delivered, I'm happy to say. I've been to China, lived in NYC and ambiance and service are no indicators of the quality of dumpling. In fact often the nicer the place the less authentic the dumpling. However this place seemed to strike the right balance. I always start with wontons in spicy oil as a measurement. These were plentiful in filling and spice. Followed it up with some pan fried soup dumplings. These were good, but they were a lot bigger than I was anticipating. They are not a small dumpling. I think if I were to do pan fried again, I might do a different dumpling. But the filling was delicious. I was there for lunch so I didn't get a lot to eat. Looking forward to going back and trying more.

Pan Fried Pork Bao Zi - delicious little fluffy works of art!

I love Mr. Dumpling! Service is always top notch, and the food is consistently delicious! A recent lunch consisted of Wontons in Chili Oil (delicious, and very meaty!) and some pan-fried Pork Bao zi (wonderful, and a very generous filling in them). The bao zi were so hot, I had to let them cool a bit!

I dropped in to try Mr Dumpling as friends had recommended. I was sure what I wanted. I chose Wanton Noodle soup. They had wanton soup and I asked for noodles to be added. The wanton soup was $10.00 and the addition of noodles was $4.00. So it totaled at $14.00. A good price for a large bowl of soup. I got my order reasonably quickly and it was delicious. Not to salty as I have noticed in other establishments. Very delicious and a large number of wantons. They had a tray with condiments to choose from and I chose garlic chili oil. I place the oil on the plate and dipped my wontons in it. It was so good! I will be back and I highly recommend this establishment.

I have been to Mr Dumpling a handful of times in the last 6 months and it never disappoints. The staff here are on top of it! It feels very comfortable and welcoming. Now for the food. Dumplings are really solid the soup dumplings or pan fried are really tasty. The condiments are traditional and the chili crunch oil is da bomb. Their menu has something for everyone, noodles. Rice etc.. give this place a go next time you even think about driving to Din ti fung hahaha...

I love the wonton in red chilly oil in this restaurant so much and i love the green bean too. The eggplant is also very good as I'm eating through. It worth to eat those and it was awesome, I will come back next time.

    Love the pan fried Bao!!

Wow! I'm usually VERY picky about my Schezuan Chinese food and this was a solid offering! Julie and I needed a quick late lunch out on Good Pasture Island Road and are tired of the options at Valley River and decided to check out Mr Dumpling. First impression, the place was clean and quiet. Staff were really nice. Everything came quickly and was plated nicely. So far, so good! We ordered an order of Pan-fried Pork Bao Zi (6), Dan Dan Noodles, and Kung Pao Chicken. The bao were fluffy with a nice amount of filling. They had soy sauce and hot chili oil as expected and also black vinegar which was very tasty with the bao. Dan Dan Noodles had nice flavor as well as a pile of fresh veggies. Very tasty. Kung Pao Chicken had a great sauce wigh lots of fresh veggies. Overall, an enjoyable lunch. We'll certainly be back!

Wonderful flavor! We did a group order (8 people) for work and everyone loved their dishes! Actual chunks of veggies in the spring rolls. The beef curry bao was amazing.

Wontons in chili oil. Do not miss!!

THIS PLACE IS IT. OMG I'm still thinking of their wontons in chili oil (nearly daily, is that sad?) and I already have a short list of items I want to try on my next visit to Mr. Dumpling! Although I'm also considering just ordering like 3 orders of those delightful wontons and just ask them to be served in a giant bowl with a pint of chili oil. They are THAT good. We visited early on a Monday evening (just before 5) and by the time we left the place was definitely filling up. Our dishes were prepared quickly and excellently, service was impeccable and super friendly. Our table ordered said wontons, pan fried pork dumplings, BBQ Pork Bao buns and the noodles with chicken stir fry. Again, it was all soooo tasty! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot!

Great food. Great service. They were very kind to my kids who hadn't eaten this type of food before. The drinks were wonderfully different than normal drinks. The passion fruit drink and the ginger tea drink were amazing. Typical ambiance for a fast food place. But it was clean and pleasant enough. We will be back though!

    Pork wonton soup

Had a road trip from LA to Seattle,I passed by this beautiful little town name Eugene today and…read moredecided to try this Chinese restaurant. It's a place that specializes in wheaten food and noodles. Looking at the menu, I noticed a wide variety of options with complex preparation methods. For example, the dough used for regular dumplings is completely different from the dough used for shrimp dumplings (har gow). Shrimp dumplings require wheat starch (cheng mian), which must be kneaded and shaped with water around 70°C (158°F) to form properly. The entire process is incredibly labor-intensive and truly tests the chef's skill level. Ambiance & Environment: You can tell this restaurant has been open for a long time, yet it remains very clean. There is a glass-enclosed prep area where you can watch the staff making the dough and noodles from scratch, which perfectly showcases their specialty. However, I was seated right next to the back door. Since customers have to use this door to access the restrooms, people were constantly walking in and out. The draft was quite strong, causing my food to cool down very quickly. I highly recommend installing a folding screen there. I also overheard other guests asking to switch seats for the same reason, so this is definitely an area management needs to work on. The Food: Since I was dining alone, I only ordered two dishes, but overall, the food deserved high praise: Griddle Cooked Beef (Gan Guo Beef): A classic Sichuan dish. The beef slices were large, the side ingredients were plentiful, and they definitely didn't skimp on the seasoning. It had a rich, robust aroma of spices that burst in your mouth. Delicious! Beef Dumplings: Easily the best dumplings I have ever had on the entire West Coast. The wrappers were thin, the filling was generous, and they were incredibly juicy--literally bursting with flavor with every bite. Highly recommended! Service: Absolutely non-existent! About five minutes after all my food arrived, while I was right in the middle of eating, a server just dropped the bill on my table. I was completely baffled. It wasn't until I pointed out that I still needed rice that they finally took the bill back. Once I finished my meal, I asked for the check. The server gave absolutely no response. Seeing a long line of people waiting outside, I proactively asked a second time because I didn't want to hold up their business. To my surprise, the staff member snapped at me impatiently, saying, "I heard you, I have to go over there to get your bill." It was genuinely infuriating. Good foods. No services

I always find that Asian food hits the spot when I'm really hungry, so I looked online for a place that "the locals" rated highly and I came across "Jade Dumpling and Noodles" on Willamette. We ordered 3 different kinds of dumplings, shrimp, pork and a spicy pork and they were All Delicious! These "soup dumplings" were small and bite sized but were packed with huge savory flavors! They are made right there and are amazing! I myself had the mixed noodles. House made noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables, stir fried in a delicious lite sauce, that enhanced the flavors of the dish, without overpowering it. You could taste all the ingredients and they were fresh and delicious! I cleaned the plate and now I can't wait to return to Jade Dumplings and Noodles again and try their other dishes, that I know will be tasty! The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. There was a strong odor of burned cooking oil that was off putting. The lady at the counter was friendly, and took my order quickly. They do not have any hot tea, which would have been nice on a cold day. So I got a coke. I sat down and had to move... as the sun was coming in the window and blinding me where I sat. Other patrons came in and had to move also for that reason. They brought my food out and placed it on the table, which was nice. Portions were decent sized. The breaded chicken in my Sweet and Sour Chicken was mostly breading... very little chicken (see attached photo). Breading was not crispy at all... a bit mushy (I suspect they use pre-breaded chicken that was frozen, which is becoming more common... blech! Hard to make that crispy, unless double fried). The sweet and sour sauce was a little bitter... which I associate with pre-made (sysco? Not made in house) sauce. Very thin, overly sweet and a slight bitterness. Rice was ok... pretty good actually.
