I stopped by this gem on the way into town for a friend's wedding. The shawarma and homemade hummus are delicious and you definitely need to try the garlic fries. You get a lot of food for your money and its all so good! The owner is a way cool guy, after ordering we just sat outside the front of the restaurant and talked with him for an hour. read more

Everything we had was so delicious and fresh, yum! We had the deluxe falafel, chicken shawarma, and garlic fries. We are also taking some baklava to go. On top of the wonderful, well priced food, the mom and pop feel was sweet and the customer service was excellent. We went on a weekday evening. We got the Shawarma, both chicken and beef. The shawarma was not the best I have had. The bread was dry and over grilled. It was smaller in size than the last time we ate there, and it did not have enough cucumber or yogurt. I had to add some. But really, my review is about something else. The table "paper" was filthy with greasy spots and had not been changed. Gross! We didn't eat there, but still it should be removed after customers finish eating. Lazy. The girl was friendly, but who wears jeans with holes all up and down the legs? Tacky for a eatery! The guy who made the food had dirt or dark stuff under his finger nails. UGH! We were in Morgan Hill last night on our travels through No Cal. Hotel desk recommended this place. The man behind the counter, Mr Falafel himself, took our order. He was congenial and funny and a pleasure to deal with. He didn't rush us. He answered all questions respectfully. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, my wife the baba ganoush and my son the tabbouleh salad. All were absolutely delicious. Please read the 1-3 star reviews! I wanted to like this place, but I can't shake it... underwhelming and overpriced. The food is not awful, but it's on the bottom of the list of of ALL the middle eastern, Mediterranean, Lebanese, etc. food I've had. Beef, lamb, and chicken were flavorless and tough. Also for overpaying and tipping you'd think they would put some napkins in a to go order, or at least ask if there's anything else we would need. Literally everything was great! Super friendly staff! This was our first time trying shawarma. It was delicious. We got beef & lamb, chicken, and hummus with shawarma. My kids got corn dogs that tasted like they came from the state fair & some bomb sweet potato fries. Just try it! They have things like chicken strips & burgers if your little ones are picky like mine. Just be warned when they say their hot sauce is hot...it's friggin hot! I squirted a ton on my first bite. We tried this place for the first time tonight and it was delicious! We tried three different kinds, the Regular, Chicken Shawarma and Kefta Kabab. All three were extremely tasty and very filling. The ingredients all tasted very fresh and the toasting of the lavash bread was a great touch. We will be going back and would recommend the place to others. read more

I moved to Morgan Hill last summer- and drove by Mr. Falafel SO many times and wondered how it'd be! I can't believe I waited so long. After my first visit- it became a regular stop for me. The food is good- and it's so nice to find a place where you can get a decent meal quickly. The service is great- they are knowledgeable and friendly. I LOVE their falafel wraps. So So good! My kids have tried the garlic fries and the chicken strips- and have been very happy. The only negative I can think of is the lack of good seating. This is definitely a place that you want to pick up from. There are only a couple of indoor tables- and they are super small and a little cramped. BUT- if you are like me and like to pick up anyways- this isn't an issue! Definitely go give Mr. Falafel a try! read more

We loved Mr. Falafel ! The falafel here is way better than Falafel Drive-In; crunchy, with lots of texture and not dried-up. The service was excellent; they went out of their way to make sure we got our order how we wanted and after the order came, made sure that we were happy with the dishes. We overheard a person at the next table asking about several items on the menu. The guy at the counter (Mr. Falafel himself!) offered explanations and tastes were also offered. This may look like a fast food place, but it's not. This is restaurant quality food that's made to go, so, if it's a bit more expensive than MickeyD's, remember that you get what you pay for. From the beginning, I thought the food was wonderful, but when a visitor from out of town, who identified herself as being middle eastern, commented on how it was the most authentic she'd had in a very long time, I knew I was on to something good. I love the wraps, and the shwarma plate as well. There's a rice and lentil salad with caramelized onions that's to die for, especially when teamed with the tabouleh. The staff and the owner are great. I'd recommend it if you're not pressed for time, everything's worth the short wait! And have some of the pita chips that are always sitting on the deli case. We were traveling, and thus stopped in to this restaurant on our way from San Jose to Carmel. We found it through the "Around Me" app on my iPhone. My husband and I are both foodies, and we weren't sure what to expect. Well....the food was excellent, as was the service. It's a family-run business...kind of like the "Cake Boss" atmosphere....fun. We both had the lamb and beef shawarma, which was great. I asked for some rice on the side and it smelled and tasted heavenly. We loved our meal and we also enjoyed chatting with the owner, who was very attentive and enjoyable. The owner's Mom makes their fig & walnut bars...be sure to try. We were so pleased with our meal that we ordered their lavosh chips and hummus (and date bars and baklava) to take to our friends in Carmel. We highly recommend this place. read more

We were fortunate enough to meet Mr Falafel himself when we stopped in late one afternoon a couple of days after Christmas -- he's quite a character! Everything we ordered was excellent and the portions are extremely generous! Mr Falafel also delivered free samples to our table! The place is tiny and a small space heater warmed up the 'front of the house' on a chilly day. Wish there was a Mr Falafel shop here in Honolulu, HI ... definitely will be back the next time I'm in Morgan Hill! read more

Considering that it's one of the few places around Morgan Hill that has a falafel stand, it actually worth checking out. Although that have their own take on the falafel wraps, I'm impressed with their spicy sauces (on request). Very filling for the value. One big plus is the sweet potato fries and hummus! read more

When I first went to Mr. Falafel, I was thinking this is a little pricy. But then I found my self coming to eat at this Mediterranean restaurant at least once a week. I love their Kefta Kabob Wrap, or Lamb Kabab Over rice with green salad and pita bread and most of the sides are really good. I cook most day's, but I like to eat out at least once a week. Holy shit Batman - the Chicken kabob is out of this world. The dude that runs this place looks like the guy on the brochure so you know the food is good. My wife and I would definitely go back for a meal and take out next time we are in Morgan Hill. The humus is excellent and a bit on the pricey side for a cheap-scat like me...but I had dreams about it. Update: We went back the next day and bought salads and humus to go (sold by the pint container). Kids like the burgers and fries. This place would make a mint in a bigger location. I went in the place to visit a friend of mine to say hi and see how he was doing, and while I was there I the first thing listed on the menu. A regular falafel (spicy). It took about 4 or 5 minutes for my buddy to hook it up and I was running late on somebody that had been waiting for me so I took it to go. Right when I took the first bite I could not believe how good it was. literally was the most flavorful and filling thing I have eaten since my mom passed away in '05. This thing was so good when I got to my friends I couldn't stop talking about it so she decided to go get one herself and had the same experience that I did. Which also proved it was not just a homie hook-up or at least from what i have seen everybody is getting a home hook-up! Everything about my experience was top notch! Coming off a long drive from LA, my hunger was at a 10! And they certainly delivered!! Art, the owner was so nice and welcomed me as a first timer. Compared to places in the Middle East it's nothing outrageously good but for our little town it's the best you are going to find.

Food is legit. Only issue is the big dude the works the register is an ass. Every time I go in there he looks hella annoyed that I showed up to give him my money. Recommendation is to doordash that place. I'd recommend they replace him with literally anyone else, and if no one is available, they could draw eyeballs on a sack of rice. Great food and service! A perfect little addition to downtown. The food is really delicious and unique compared to anything else in morgan hill. I had the feta sandwich and it was very good. I definitly couldn't put it down and overate. They are very generous with sampling so that u know ur gonna like wat ur ordering. The staff is extremely personable and its apparent that their top priority is the customers enjoyment.
