I saw this happening at the only other occupied table and immediately lost my appetite. My wife, undeterred, ordered some mussels. Ordinarily, we'll also order vegetables with any meal, but the side servings of vegetables are priced like filet mignon. I asked if I ordered the chips & guacamole, did it come with a serving of salsa? Alas, our server said no. What does a tiny amount of salsa cost a restaurant? 50 cents? So, I stuck with a glass of water. I was done. I couldn't bring myself to eat here. My wife ate a few of the mussels, digging them out from the plastic bags with her plastic fork.
