I've been making this a pitstop for the past several months. Eco-friendly vibe with a lot of seating on the attached unit. That's a good thing because one tine I went around 3:30 and Logan High was probably just letting out. It was so crowded that the line was out the door. Although I've only ever had the same few drinks, I would still recommend this location. As with most boba places, there are a variety of options, reasonable prices, tasty drinks and quick service. They also offer a few snack items, but I tend to shy away from them because most of the boba places sprinkle their snacks with this seasoning that is off putting for me. Also note that they use Fivestar or one of those services, so each time you come in and enter your telephone number you get points towards free toppings or other free or discounted goodies. I'm surprised it took me so long to try this place considering it's within walking distance to me, but after they expanded I'm glad I now have a new spot to grab a small snack and a drink. My favorite tasting chicken comes from Tapex across the street and the best value comes from iTea in Milpitas. Mr. Green Bubble is a happy median in between. You get a box (instead of a small bag) of perfectly fried popcorn chicken that has more meat than batter. And the spice level here is quite hot. My problem with iTea is that no matter how much spice I add, its not hot, but when I got a 4/5, wow it was HOT! They also have the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea which I've only been able to find at iTea in Calaveras. No flavor at all, even though we barely reduced the sweetness. There were tiny tiny bits of lychee but it basically tasted like water. When we got home, we had to add like 3 splenda packets LOL. 1/5 stars. Popcorn chicken ($5.25): the popcorn chicken saved this review. Phew! The pieces were giant and meaty. There wasn't too much breading too. The only downside was that they don't offer their own sweet & sour sauce for dipping; all they had were small packets of such and sriracha. But overall, it's in the top 5 of the popcorn chicken I've had; 5/5 stars. There were hella people inside when we went...maybe we just ordered the wrong drink? Maybe it was sitting a little too long? We came here on a Wednesday night, the place was not busy. There's 3 kiosk available for self ordering. The service was fast, waited for 5 minutes for our drink to be ready. The place was clean however costumer service is not great. They don't even greet you when you come in not very welcoming environment. My Wintermelon Tea was pretty good, but it was slightly too sweet for me. Next time I know to adjust the sweetness level. Got the braised pork rice bento, popcorn chicken, pandan mochi waffle, and red bean wheelcake. At $4 each, the wheelcake is super expensive. Taste was ok, would say not worth it. Popcorn chicken was good, but for something that can be easily masked by such strong flavors of the spices, it's not that hard, unless it's just very bad. The wall color just popped and I noticed that the menu changed since my last visit. I ordered Mango Milk Tea with boba and I was surprised that theirs taste similar to Sharetea's, as I haven't been able to find one that measured up. Spacious, the room next door is also theirs with adequate seating. Drink selection doesn't seem as expansive, but they do offer a good amount of flavors for their various types of beverages. They have the option to brew tea fresh! I saw the tea leaf canisters. I was going to get a Cookies & Cream smoothie but saw Peach Black tea leaves. No milk, not too bitter for my liking! Added grass jelly which had natural sweetness. I haven't really been since then but I'm glad I rediscovered how good the food is. My friend and I ordered using their ordering screens and we got two drinks, their tempura, calamari, and mixed fried mushrooms. Everything came out in 15 min and it smelled amazing. The calamari and fried mushrooms are seriously so good and crispy, get a higher level of spice for more of a kick. Their fried tempura was interesting and something I had never tried but it reminded me of a cross of tempura and a mochi texture. The drinks are eh, and I remember thinking that in school too. This update is solely based on my last visit to Mr. Green Bubble. I decided to get an order of the takoyaki for the first time here. Apparently they make their tako fresh and so it takes a little longer but typically places will tell you this ahead of time so you're aware of the longer wait. No one told me I would be waiting 30 minutes after getting my drink to get my food order, watching everyone else that came after me get their food before me. Since I had somewhere I had to be, this was very annoying to say the least. There was no update or apology from the staff either, just "well, we make it fresh" whenever I checked in on how much longer I'd have to wait. The experience definitely soured my perspective of this place a bit.
