Ordered popcorn chicken, passion mango fizz, matcha latte and mango smoothie. Service is friendly with fun ambiance.

This place had a lot of parking, what I really appreciated is a seating and the AC today. I don't know why other boba places have no seating. They also had a restroom. They had three counters where you could self-order. The boba was perfect, not too mushy. I ordered a Jasmine tea with matcha foam and the foam was so decadent and delicious. I would love to return again with friends.

Came here to try the HK Waffle. Ordered the oreo waffle: it was tasty, could have been less crunchy and burned. The panda waffle was actually very good, will come for that again. Service was quick. Ambiance was nice, there were seats and waiting area.

    Popcorn Chicken
    Jin K.

Unlike many places that go heavy on the batter, this version is lightly coated, so you're actually getting more chicken and protein in every bite. The chicken stays juicy and flavorful without feeling greasy or overly fried, which really sets it apart. Definitely one of the better popcorn chicken options around. I like my popcorn chicken really spicy, and their highest level was just right.

Strawberry black tea no toppings while waiting for the popcorn chicken

I always use the Snackpass app the order from here. They're always just after lunch or dinner. But why is their fried squid (tentacles) now hella big instead of a million tiny ones like before? The big ones aren't as good so not sure I'll be back. It's too bad because not that many boba shops even offer it anymore. Le sigh

    Mango & Lemon Donut

Mango Peach Slushy: Refreshing & sweet. I added mango popping boba & it made it even better. Strawberry Matcha: It's not bad. The strawberry jam is tart, but it mixes well with the matcha. I didn't finish the drink, so I left it in the fridge the next day, and the matcha became chunky.. weird cuz I never had that happen before, not a fan. Lemon mochi donut had a stronger taste of lemon compare to mango, but both were pretty light.

    Purple Cloud Tea Latte
    Hope L.

I've been wanting to try the purple cloud tea latte and finally got a chance to try it today. The wait time was about 5 minutes after I ordered on the kiosk. It looks super pretty and aesthetic but the taste unfortunately didn't match up. I could barely taste the ube flavoring and it was so bland. This drink tasted like black tea watered down even though it was supposed to have milk in it. I couldn't taste the milk and was pretty disappointed considering this was supposed to be 100% sweet and it didn't taste sweet at all. The only thing saving this drink was the amount of boba you get as they do offer a hearty portion but it has no flavored coating on it and is a bit mushy. Based on this experience, I might try this place again if I'm ever in the area but I wouldn't come specifically for this boba place when there are so many better ones in the East Bay.

Gah! If I lived closer I would come here every day. I love love their fried mushrooms. It's so tasty. But a little too spicy, I'll definitely choose the more milder one next time. The drink was pretty good too. I got the strawberry matcha with boba. Boba was sweet and chewy. Everyone was super friendly! :)

    Taro bubble milk tea (large)
    Sydney J.

I came here with some friends and ordered a taro bubble milk tea large, no sugar, no ice, which was still fairly reasonably priced given the rising costs of boba nowadays. I also got to eat some of the garlic fries since my friend shared them with me. It came out very fast, maybe it was quicker to make than some of the orders of people ahead of me. The taro milk tea was fine. The taro itself was just mildly sweet which is what I expected given I aske for no sugar, but the boba is sweeter, so it balanced out well. The garlic fries were super garlicky, though. I think it would've been better if they took it easy on the garlic and added more of other flavors and spices. They sell various savory salty and sweet snacks too including mochi waffles and egg puffs. There's a decent amount of indoor tables.

Recently been going to Mr. green bubble again. This used to be a place frequented during high school days. The boba is on the softer side and is perfectly sweet. I love their boba! Their drink selection is pretty wide and all of their drinks are p good. When I get tired of the sweetness and fullness that I feel from having sunright, I like to get this.

    Joyce T.

Is it legal? price on the monitor different from the order machine? Popcorn chicken on monitor is $6, but when I ordered thru the machine, it's $7. Fried calamari too. Food and drinks are mediocre. Better go to happy lemon or cross street to tapioca express.

Does anyone know why this place was closed today (6/2)? Was it because of the protests? All their online ordering portals were down and nothing was written on their Facebook. I didn't see if they had a sign on their door.

    Why is this location closed?

It should be open now everyday 11am-8:30pm. I picked up my online order a week ago https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/mr-green-bubble-uc-union-city/

Are there anything vegan to eat there?

    Yes there's tofu cubes

Y is jasmine not on ubereats menu?

Interesting that Jasmine milk tea is not on the Ubereats menu... it's definitely on the DoorDash menu since I've ordered it from there multiple times.

The abundance of pickled vegetables and braised tofu was very overpowering to me - I watched feedmeimei's review where she says the pickled vegs here are more pickled and I think that's true and may have contributed to the more overpowering taste. Then when you add sausage or pork belly, it gets heavy and salty real fast. I might be in the minority of preferring a simpler and more balanced fan tuan but hope this is helpful for anyone with a similar palate

It was a bit unorganized and people walking around but not sure where to seat us. We finally got seated and had to wait a while and waved down people a few times to get out orders in. It is okay, I am here for the good, not the service after all. Right? I was disappointed. The oyster pancake was extremely fishy. The rice cake (well not really a cake but inverted sticky rice cup) was cold and where is the pork floss? The chicken rolls were decent, the best dish. I didn't try the fried intestines but was told there were okay. The stinky tofu not really stinky. I think it is because we are in the US and many restaurants stopped selling this due to complaints. I can take that but the dipping sauce was lacking with no garlic flavor. The other items were nothing to write home about. We were waiting for our stir fried seafood noodles and finally waved down someone only to find out it is out, but no one told us. So we ordered pork chop bento as we saw the next table had one and the portion was amazing. Well, someone must have eaten our order in the kitchen as ours was half of the size as what we saw from the other table. The decor was very simple and as with most Asian restaurant it was noisy. But I was there for the food so no problem. But the food didn't deliver.

Everything was delicious and when you can satisfy a craving...everything just hits different What really made the meal memorable though, was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, checking in on every table throughout the evening. At one point, she noticed our minced pork rice looked a little light on the gravy (something we hadn't even noticed ourselves). Without us saying a word, she headed back to the kitchen and returned with an extra serving of the pork topping to make sure it was just right. As the dinner rush slowed, she spent time chatting with us about our recent trip to Taiwan, sharing stories about Taiwanese food and what makes the cuisine so special. By the end of the meal, it didn't feel like we were dining at a restaurant--it felt like we were having dinner at an auntie's house, enjoying great food and even better conversation. I had heard there was new ownership and was hoping the XLB would be similar to what I remembered from before. Bing's is a fairly small restaurant, and I remember there usually being a good number of people waiting for a table during my previous visits. Unfortunately, that was certainly not an issue this time. We arrived right at 11am, when they opened, and were the first customers. The workers were still preparing to open, but we were seated. We waited about 5-7 minutes before we were given menus. Around 11:27am, two more parties arrived, and it remained quiet with just us three parties there during our visit. We ordered two orders of the regular pork soup dumplings (XLB). Our server was nice and poured us water, and all of the workers were friendly and kind throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the XLB were disappointing. There was little to no soup inside, the pork filling was dry, and the skin was noticeably too thick. The flavor was still slightly there, which gave me a bit of the taste I remembered, but the thick skin and dryness were too significant to ignore. Overall, this unfortunately did not feel like the same Bing's Dumpling I remember from years ago. I really wanted to like the XLB, but they fell short of what it used to be. The friendly and kind service was definitely a positive, but the XLB were the main reason for the visit, and they just weren't there this time.
