Met friends from HIG for some down time tonight. Love this gem. Very spacious and I liked the picnic style tables. My friends had the supreme pizza with Buffalo wings which they said were very good and the wings were seasoned very well. I had the veggie pizza with white sauce which was really food and the dough and veggies were extremely fresh. The staff was very professional and greeted us with a warm welcome. It's located in the plaza with El pollo loco on grand and Diamond bar blvd. Mr G pizza give you impression of what I like about Pizza Hut restaurant used to be like. It's a more traditional American pizza place! Mrs. G is very friendly and pizzas are thin with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Special let you order 2 slices of pizza with one soft drink(refillable). Taste is great except this time the pizzas are slightly burned on the side. Hidden neighborhood gem! Everyone is always so nice. Big menu and have never had a bad dish yet. We always get the pizza and salad for the family. Families are usually lively eating their meals. My first date with my bf was here and now 5 years later and we still think this place is one of the best in the area. My now fiancé and I come here a LOT, maybe a little too often for our diets but it's become a place of nostalgia for us. We frequent this place enough to notice a slight difference in the pizza when we come as sometimes it's thinner than usual or a little on "soggier" side but I wanna give a shout-out to the chef who made our mushroom pepperoni pizza this past Friday night near closing (8/9) did a fantastic job as it tasted just like how I know their pizzas to be. Their marinara sauce is surprisingly the best I've had in years and the girl at the cashier is super sweet. Although in the years I've been here I've never gotten to meet the famous Mr. G, it was cool to meet him at a Yelp elite event a few years back. Everyone is very nice here, great service! We split two large pizzas (Meat Fanatic $26.99 and Supreme $22.50) and an order of garlic knots ($9.99) at my table and it was more than enough to feed 5 adults and a toddler. Their pizza was just the way I like it: thin and crisp like a New York style pizza! No matter the size you order (small, medium, etc.), they all are cut into eight slices. Yesterday my husband was doing Uber and the owner of the restaurant was nice enough to give him a couple slices of pepperoni pizza while he was waiting for a pick up order. Late review! Every year during Valentine's day, I search for a heart-shaped pizza for my other half. This year, I decided to go with Mr. G. The review on yelp were all solid reviews. I called to check if they can even make the pizza heart-shaped and they were able to. You can pick any topping you want and they will have it ready for you. The pizza was delicious and best of all so pretty. I got extra pepperoni and sausage and instructed them not to cut it. They follow the instruction perfectly. A small local restaurant tucked away in a plaza that I always overlooked until this day. I was absolutely craving pizza on this particular night so I was really hoping for some cheesy goodness when I ordered the chicken tikka pizza. Sadly, there wasn't a lot of cheese on it. Now, let me tell you though, they absolutely delivered on flavor. There wasn't a lot of chicken on it but every bite was full of Indian spices. I was a bit sad that the interior part of the pizza crust was soggy since I love when my pizza has a bit of crunch to it. However, I would totally recommend this if you're bored of your typical pizza and looking for a new take on a classic comfort food. I also tried the chicken parmigiana pasta and this one delivered on the cheese. The pasta itself wasn't anything special but the chicken was tender and delicious. It also came with two pieces of garlic bread! Both items were piping hot when they arrived so they're definitely made fresh because it took at least a good 15 minutes for the items to arrive at my table. TLDR: Parking is easy, pizza (possibly) and garlic bread are great, but pasta (er alfredo) needs some major work. I've seen great reviews about Mr G's Pizza and have been waiting to try it for weeks. Since it is located in one of two neighboring plazas, parking is fairly easy. Perhaps it was my mistake to go to a pizza shop to order chicken alfredo which I was craving that night. I couldn't resist after seeing the Yelp photos. The dish took about 10-15 minutes to make, and I was excited when it arrived. I started nibbling away at the dish from the garlic bread, which was fantastic. The taste was perfect, not too much garlic, but also not burnt. Just toasted to the right amount. I felt that the pasta could have been cooked a little longer. The chicken was moist and easy to chew since they were in thin slices. However, something about the sauce felt off. The alfredo was extremely chunky and watery, almost like a mixture of spoiled milk and water. The sauce made the dish extremely difficult to enjoy, and I did not feel well after finishing it. Maybe it was a frozen, microwaveable meal reheated in the oven, ot maybe I came on a bad night, but it definitely wasn't worth the $17 that I paid for it. I am not sure if I will return yet, but if I do, I will definitely be trying their pizzas. I don't think I will be enticed to try pastas again. read more

Cheese pizza - awful. I'd ordered a small, and I'm glad I did. Tasted worse than frozen pizzas and had similar texture. Cesar Salad - not much to be said here, basic iceberg lettuce with a bounty of croutons and sliced parmesan cheese, solid. 2L sodas are overpriced at $6, although I'm not sure if that's just inflation speaking these days, but the rest of the food was appropriately priced. We live the pizza and food here. The workers and owners are very nice. The pizza has a great taste and my kids love the hockey table. Today we experienced our first disappointment.
