He offered to replace it and if it didn't solve the problem he wouldn't charge me, that is unheard of these days. It not only fixed the problem he also pointed out the hose for my ice maker was leaking, and for a very small additional charge he fixed it also. However, after the inspection, we were only informed that the parts were difficult to source and received no further updates. Based on our experience, it seemed the process stopped after the initial inspection rather than progressing through the actual repair.

He diagnosed the problem, said he would have to order the part, and informed me what the repair would cost. I paid for the repair and was contacted a couple days later when the part arrived. The technician installed the part, but unfortunately, that did not fix the issue. A new diagnostic revealed it was a different part and the manufacturer said they no longer make or supply it, so I would need to purchase a new oven. I was not upset about any of this, just a but bummed that I had spent several hundred dollars for a repair that didn't help. To my surprise, Gold Coast informed me they would be refunding all charges above the standard diagnostic fee, including what I paid for the part. The refund arrived a couple days later. I was highly impressed that they were willing to eat the cost of a part in order to maintain good customer relations. I was skeptical of initially contacting them because their website makes it seem as if they work on nothing but refrigeration, freezer, and ice machines. I am so happy to find out they work on all major appliances and I will definitely be calling them for any future needs.
