Came in at 1:20 PM on a Friday and there was pretty packed (especially for being a pretty small place). They also had a bunch of online orders they were prepping in between in-person orders which did hold up the line a bit. I got the regular poke bowl which I got with 3 scoops of ahi tuna. Portion size is pretty decent, fish tasted quite fresh and they have all your standard poke bowl toppings to choose from! For my sauce, I got the unagi sauce and the garlic chili. I would consider myself to be someone who can take quite a bit of spice but this garlic chili packed a pretty hard and lingering punch. Probably wouldn't get that sauce again but they have plenty of others to choose from! They also give you a complimentary cup of miso soup which is quite nice. Overall, I think this is a solid poke place and I would come back if I were in the area and craving poke bowls, but it is not a place I would go out of my way to visit. Neighborhood make-your-own poke spot in Diamond Bar. They're open during covid for walk-ins and you can order takeout ahead of time online. We got 3 scoop bowls and they make for a filling but not heavy lunch. FYI - the spicy tuna is a paste. The house spicy sauce is a good call, and I really liked the variety of toppings (including the corn and the crab meat). The fish tasted a little cold, as though it was just defrosted, but it's fine. They gave us two small free miso soups which was a pleasant surprise. They do have ice cream macaron sandwiches along with other entree options. They do accept credit cards and no free WiFi. Freshness: Barely Passing Service: Nonexistent The freshness of this place has steadily gone down over the years. When I came this past week, the fish was noticeably unfresh.. It was falling apart and the consistency of the fish was weirdly rough. Lo and behold, my sister and I had worst stomachache later on. If you are indecisive about toppings, you can pretty much get all the toppings they offer! They don't charge extra fees for toppings, aside from avocado. I like how they offer so many sauce choices. I love that they have a variety of sauces to choose from, so you can make your bowl light and refreshing with something like citrus ponzu or make it creamy with spicy mayo. I've driven by this place many times after I get boba from Boba Time down the street. It is really close to the freeway on ramp. I finally made it for a lunch time meal. They have only 2 choices so went with the regular size which has 3 protein selections. Base : white rice Protein : Salmon Extras : Seaweed salad, cucumber, avocado ($1 extra) They did not have a house sauce so went with the citrus ponzu. The flavor of the sauce was pretty good. My only complaint was the salmon was either frozen and not full defrosted or their refrigerated table is too cold. My friend owns a poke place so I know some places purchase pre-cut fish. The regular bowl gets you 3 proteins. I usually get the ahi tuna and spicy tuna. They never disappoint. For my sauces, I like the citrus and garlic ponzu combination as well. You get a choice of topings and I especially like that you can select pineapples as it compliments the spicy tuna quite well! Avo is extra (of course) but it's affordable so if you're thinking about it, get it! Update: I've been coming here maybe once a month since the first time I've had them. They were consistently good for the first few times, but somehow, things have changed. This is hands down my new and favorite poke spot. There is never any complaints when I come here. Service is always amazing and fast, food always taste fresh and delicious. They always give you the same portion sizes, I am here for the consistency. Mr. Poke is located on the corner of the plaza which is by the freeway, parking lot is small so you gotta be careful but totally worth it. The kindness and service of the employee are superior to anywhere else. However, I am somewhat disappointed that this is all there is. Firstly, speaking about the price, I think it's quite expensive compared to the quality of the food. Of course, it could be due to the rising cost of food ingredients that has become a big issue lately, but I think that the quality and service should also rise with the expensive food price. However, I don't think this is the case in this place. I also think the taste of the food is very bland. Perhaps it's because they don't use MSG as most restaurants should, but I think they are not able to fully utilize the advantages of basic ingredients, materials, and seasonings of the food. If I may give one advice or suggestion to the owner, who appears to be different from the employee who was very kind, it is not very wise to charge customers for requesting a bowl to share food with someone. The cost of a plastic container is probably a few cents or tens of cents, but if you save even that, it can be a somewhat unpleasant experience for customers. The kindness of the employee can make customers willing to return even if the taste of the food is not great, but charging customers for a piece of plastic container can make them not want to visit again. I believe the owner is trying their best to provide the best taste. However, I hope that the owner doesn't ruin the excellent service of the employee. read more

The only reason why it's not a 5 star is due to their unwelcoming customer service. They are not rude but just unfriendly. If they would improve their customer engagement they would have more business and people would be more willing to come in to order. Love this place! This hidden little store is my go-to poke joint in the Diamond Bar/Walnut & Rowland area. What stands out are the portion sizes. I want to say the normal bowl is slightly bigger than what other poke give out. The large however is a monster & only about $11. It's definitely the biggest poke bowl I've come across. I ordered the regular bowl with half brown rice & half spring mix -- this is the only place that I've come across so far that offers half & half. I picked Salmon, Spicy Tuna, and Ahi Tuna as my proteins, and pretty much all the toppings (avocado is an extra 50 cents FYI.) I LOVE that they have corn and edamame beans. It gives the bowl such a fresh and hearty taste! They topped it off with spicy mayo and unagi sauce, and all the dry toppings. To me, the fried garlic is an absolute must; it gives it the best crunch and if you're about that garlic life like I am, you'll definitely want this on your Poke Bowl. The bowl also comes with complimentary miso and the only complaint I have about this is that it's served lukewarm. All in all, the flavor of all the base, proteins, toppings, and sauces merry wonderfully together creating the tastiest Poke Bowl you could ask for. Mr. Poke beats Pokinometry, IMO.
