Came for lunch. They are known for their smoked meats. They do really great smoked chicken, pig snout and other meats. I tried their noodles and other lunch items. I would stick to just purchasing their smoked meats. Service is good. The interior is nice. The smoked meats are nothing like i have had before and have a great unique addicting taste. Highly recommend trying their smoked meats.

Located in the same outdoor plaza as Starbucks/Chase/TJ Maxx. Free parking Unique Chinese food from the Shandong region of China. You can find many different kinds of meat - chickens, beef shanks, pig ears, hearts, tofu, tendons, pig hocks and feet - all simmer, smoked, and spicy/nonspicy. They even slice the meat for you. Great tasting food, spices balanced just right and a flowery aroma. Good with a bowl of rice or some beer. They also offer an all you can eat bowl of noodles for $39.99 for a whole month! Wow.

Subtracting 1 star for consistency.. been twice since my first experience. The Love BBQ Pork Rice is different every time. You cannot get people hooked on pickled pineapple and take it away. Also the broth is bland all of a sudden. Again... where's my crack-like broth? These are craving-breaking changes.. Hoping 'unique' in the restaurant's name doesn't pertain to the meals each time you order.

The restaurant is aptly name "Unique smokehouse." I thought it would be like another Cantonese style bbq place but it isn't! When I first walked in I was pleasantly greeted by the amazing smokiness of their meats and offerings. The staff was kind enough to answer all my questions about the many choices available that day. There were marinated smoked meats, offal, chicken thigh etc. I chose pork belly, chicken thigh over rice (this isn't on their menu but they allowed me to modify a rice dish). I also couldn't resist a piece of beef tendon which they sliced into thin pieces for me, as a kind of appetizer/snack. It still tasted delicious a few days afterwards (makes a great keto snack now that I think of it). The food is delicious! And not like any type of Asian smoked bbq I've ever tasted. Also shoutout to the pickled radish and pineapple that accompanied my rice dish, i enjoyed it so much too! Extra points go to the impeccably clean display counter and restaurant. There were about 6-8 tables available for dining in. Even in a food heaven of San Gabriel valley, I think this is a welcome addition to the food landscape and I look forward to trying their other options. They're located in the plaza with TJ Maxx, Banana boat, Daiso; at the north-west corner of Las Tunas and Rosemead Blvd. Parking lot has plenty of parking. They do take credit cards. Enjoy!

There are a lot of people that come here though, so highly recommend making reservations. The Dine LA menu is such a good sampling of the best that Bistro Na's has to offer: + Chili tofu skin salad: Surprisingly not overly spicy. Very tolerable, even for someone like me that admits to be weak on spice. + Zhajiang noodles: Very aromatic and flavorful. Al dente noodles. + Crispy shrimp: The personal highlight for me. The outer shrimp skin is cooked perfectly for eating and these are so juicy and fresh. It takes real skill to not overcook shrimp and they do this so well. + Cheese pudding koi: This isn't overly sweet and it really hits the mark for a Chinese pudding. The caramel drizzle is a nice touch to make this truly a dessert. Everything was so well done, ambiance is very nice, and service is on point. You really can't ask for more.

Obviously, you can't come to a place that has lobster in the menu without ordering lobster, and we got the House Special Lobster (Large) with Garlic Noodle. Other items we ordered were the French Style Beef Cube, Braided Crab Meat & Fish Maw Soup, Beef Mongolian, Crispy Fried Sole Fish, BBQ Fried Rice, Clams with Spicy Sauce, Crispy Fried Squid with Salt and Pepper, and Clams with Black Bean Sauce. The portions are actually quite massive for each dish. All of it was very solid and tasty Chinese food. We were definitely very stuffed after this lunch was over! Service here is solid enough for a Chinese place. They were pretty quick with getting us extra plates to change out our dirty plates and more bowls as needed. And they were quick with the water. But yeah, you do have to flag them down to get their attention. They do have a parking lot here, and we got here early enough on a Sunday where parking wasn't an issue. However, I can see it being a problem on busier days. Boston Lobster is definitely worth a visit if you want solid Chinese food at a fair affordable price. Really good!

We ordered the Shanghai-style Sweet and Sour Pork, Kung Pao Chicken, Sliced Beef with Onions, Steamed Greenland Halibut, Braised Pork Belly in Brown Sauce, and Stir-Fried Clams with Black Bean Sauce. The portions were large, making it easy to share family-style. The Shanghai-style sweet and sour pork had a nice balance of sweet and tangy flavors. The Kung Pao chicken offered just the right amount of spice. The sliced beef with onions was tender and flavorful. The steamed Greenland halibut was fresh and delicately seasoned, the braised pork belly was rich and melt-in-your-mouth. The clams paired perfectly with the savory black bean sauce. The restaurant has a spacious dining room with beautiful décor and a modern, elegant interior, creating a comfortable atmosphere for family dinners or gatherings. Combined with the generous portions and reasonable prices, it's a great spot for classic Chinese comfort food.

I finally came when there was no long and we were seated once our whole party arrived. The server kept egging us on to order more food.. like I get it but I found that kind of weird. He also told us that the lunch special portions would be smaller so it's okay to order more dishes. When it came out they were regular sized so now we just had a bunch of dishes and weren't going to finish.. again weird. They gifted a large bowl of miso soup.. which again again weird lol we served it up like Chinese style banquet soup and they had edamame as free app like isn't this a Chinese place?? The dishes were okay nothing to rave about. The overall total price in the end was not bad though so it was "a good deal," but quality wise I probably would not come back.

To say that I have been planning to go to, Newport Seafood, is an understatement. It is considered…read moreto be one of the best destinations for fresh seafood, with the accent on Chinese cuisine. What has shunned me from this place, is the distance and the traffic, from the SFV. Finally, I made the journey. And arrived for lunch, on a weekday. To come here and not order their iconic Signature dish, the House Special Newport Style Lobster, would be a sin. Imagine a trip that was almost 40 miles and an hour of traffic (one way), with no reward. It was time to experience the real thing. The signature dish. Walking in solo, I was given a booth. I liked that. On seating, I ordered a beverage to quench my thirst, catch my bearings and breath. Almost immediately, the servers kept bugging me to order. The place was barely 1/4th occupied. Whats the hurry. After all this, I had to repeatedly tell them, that i had already spoken with a server, regarding my order. Just wanted to relax first, catch my breath, sip my beverage. Coming here, I was aware that their tank lobsters would be in the 4-6 pound range. Good for, and ordered by, at least 3-4 people. So when I, as a solo diner, ordered a 4-pound lobster (with no other choice), just for myself, they began to leave me alone and give me more respect. The cut up wok prepared, House Special Newport Style Lobster, arrives wonderfully presented, with heaps of leeks, scallions and jalapenos. My kind of recipe. Truly unique and exceptional. There is no sauce, and only a mild flavor, yet tasty. My biggest concern here was (after reading numerous internet reviews), that the lobster would be rubbery and dry. Not so for me. I lucked out. Problem here is, while there is lots of meat (a 4 pound lobster will yield at the most, about a pound of meat), they do not have, or provide, the essential lobster cutlery, to do justice to this beautiful crustacean. I did ask though. They did not seem to care and told me to use my fork. LOL. Steamed rice is complimentary. So is a soup, with sweet and sour, being the only choice (I did not like this). Either way, my plan was to take leftovers (there was a lot), home, where I possess high class lobster cracking tools. And thank heavens I did. They were most useful, to crack and dig into all the lobster meat, that would have been inaccessible at the restaurant. With additional TLC, the leftovers held up well, to provide several additional lobster meals. Need to go back to try their enticing and reasonably priced variety of lunch specials (more seafood, choices minus lobster). Another sought after box on my list, is now checked.

This Temple City location seemed to have turned over a few times over the years before AK took over. There is a lot in the back that is almost identical to Shaw Mei's/Kang Kang Food Court just down the street. Both lots are inadequate for the popularity of the businesses they serve and parking can be challenging. If you enter from the back lot, restrooms are to the right as you enter AK. The menu has some familiar items and some unique ones. We specifically came to try their sandwich made on a pineapple bun or Bolo Bao. There were a few choices of meat including chicken and beef. We got the Satay Beef or Sha Cha Niu Rou. It came with a fried egg and tomato. The sandwich was very good and enough for a meal. They also had "thick" sandwiches with several choices of meat. We got the fried fish. It was something like what a Filet O Fish at McDonalds aspires to be because AK is a far superior version. The fish portion was generous, crispy, and a much higher quality than Micky D's. There was some sort of coleslaw sauce instead of Micky D's tartar sauce and AK's coleslaw sauce had a unique and very good flavor. The sandwich was also big enough for a meal. We also got their curry fish ball dish because it is a favorite of ours. Unlike most other places that only give you either boiled or fried fish balls, AK gave you both. It did not come with rice, so we asked for some and our server was shocked, but gave it to us without complaining. The space the restaurant sits in is quite big. It was moderately to somewhat crowded and noisy on our visit. While the main lady who helped us was friendly and fairly efficient, some of the other servers and customers gave us the typical dirty looks because we are a mixed couple. Four stars for quality of food, but one star deduction for obviously being prejudice. Overall, we would come back here because the food was good, but recommend you come with a Chinese speaker to order like we have in the family or the service is likely to be worse.
