WOW this place is great. I took a chance and ordered for the first time from Mr. Subs after living in the area for a while now and seeing their name always pop up on my nearby restaurants. I ordered an angry bird and fries from them yesterday and the delivery ended up arriving early. The sandwich was delicious and well put together. The container was packed with fries. I went during a training day, so the guy working the slicing machine had no idea what he was doing and made my wife's salami and cheese sandwich a mountain of shaved meat. The bread appeared to go on a scale next to the slicer, so you get what you pay for, it was just almost comical watching him add slice after slice. The veggie guy was also training and added about a head of lettuce to both sandwiches. I went super sub. Taste wise, these were both excellent (though a bit too much lettuce). 4 stars. I also got a cheesesteak, that should be avoided. The bread is soft, but very big and there was just too much of it and not enough steak to make it seem like I wasn't just eating bread with a little meat. The wings were an abomination- breaded and thrown into the togo container soaked in oil, avoid those too. 2 stars. Average is a 3, but the deli sandwiches were very good. Many of the staff members at my school ordered from Mr. Subs for our field day today. Rich, the owner, was very easy to work with in coming up with a meal plan that worked for our staff. Not only did he deliver all the the sandwiches/chips/drinks at the requested time but he made another trip back to the school for a staff member whose order was not completely accurate. I have gotten rave reviews from our staff about their sandwiches and we are so grateful to Rich and his team at Mr. Subs for making this possible without breaking the bank. After Yelping subs in the NB area a familiar trusted yelper John R's banner rating drew me in for a quick bite. Glad it did. $5.20 for a 8 in. Sub is a good deal any where. Fresh moist thinly sliced turkey on a fresh soft wheat sub roll with 2 strips of bacon diced lettuce & thinly sliced tomato went down nicely. Add a soda & chips and at $8.93 bon appetite. Breakfast available all day at $5 or $6 for a plate full. Great friendly service and clean environment. Only 5 or six tables. A lil light on the meat prevents a top rating, but all in all a good sub joint at a better price. read more

I had never had anything from the restaurant before but they were local and seemed to have good reviews. Any Jerseyan knows that subs come down to the bread and the quality of the meat. I grew up around the block, and have family and friends still in the area. I recently had a hoagie/grinder/hero/sub discussion with folks where I live now, and no sandwich comes close to what you get from Mr. Subs. It's so delicious, I actually crave 'em when I'm away for too long. I typically get turkey and provolone with everything and mayo, and also have had their breakfast sandwiches. They had omelettes as a special a while ago, and even made an omellette even when not on special. Please-don't ever change! read more

Great tasting subs, you cant go wrong with anything you order here. We usually get the angry bird, turkey and cheese, hot pastrami, the Italian, and the cheese steak. I've been ordering from this place for years and in the last six months I have had the worst customer service experience ever from anywhere. Today was the last straw we decided to order again from there because the food is actually good. And once again they messed up our order and when we called them they said sorry we're about to close why don't you call GrubHub and have them refund you your money. I used to love ordering from Mr. Subs but lately haven't had a good experience. I ordered through Uber and they don't let you customize certain things in your order so I called just to say light on the sauce and I was told they would only do it this time but the orders are as is on the app. His tone was a bit rude. I also ordered through the app again, the wings were soggy and fries soggy. I think the containers they are now using which are carton containers make the food soggy. My office in New Brunswick orders from Mr. Subs at least once a month and each time has been great! The food is fresh and delicious, and the staff is hardworking and friendly. Ordering for over 15 people can be a little challenging and tedious, but each time I call, everyone who has answered the phone has been super helpful and patient. Today I ordered again for 15 people, and I was helped by Rich, who even asked for each person's name to write on their sub. That may seem like no big deal, but when dealing with a large group of people, it really helps out! Orders are always correct and put together promptly. Roast beef was tasty however despite calling in the 3 sandwich order, one sandwich lacked mayo (ok, I have mayo at home) and another lacked bacon (from a turkey and bacon sub...
