Drinks are mediocre at best. I suspect they use powder in their teas like other boba chains. Regular size is below the typical size cup you get at other places and to get the ubiquitous chubby cups that most places serve standard you have to pay extra so your paying more for the same portions you can get elsewhere. I tried the spam and egg and that came in a small 4x2 rectangular tray. Wow they really downsize portions to a specific size. Great to see a boba place on this side of Mission & Excelsior but would not go here if given other alternatives. read more

This is a nice local spot for those living in Outer Mission/Excelsior. I've tried the Jasmine milk tea and black tea, both with 30 percent sweet. The tea could be a little creamier. I would recommend 50 percent sweet, as 30 is not sweet enough here. I haven't tried the foods, but there is a great selection of snacks! I am a fan for sure. Mr. T is tucked away in the middle of a busy intersection on Mission St, so it's easy to miss. The shop front is unassuming, and the interior is tiny, but the food they put out is not bad at all. Unlike SoCal, the culture of boba shops with quality snacks doesn't quite exist in NorCal, unless you count Quickly's. But, if you've had Quickly's, then you know you can't count their dry, crumbly chicken. The popcorn chicken here is tender, and the batter is light. Note to self: Stop ordering matcha drinks at boba shops. It's either not authentic or very weak. The line to order was long and the wait for your drink was long as well. But it's a HOT day, so which popular boba shops aren't crowded?! None that I know. This small shop had one cashier, one staff making drinks, and another member in the back who makes the food. The food (most likely fried) was coming out quicker than some of the drink orders. That's not right! I felt bad because the person making the drinks was indeed slammed. He had at least TEN empty cups in front of him and he was doing his best but it was obviously too much for one person! Can't the cashier give a brotha a hand?! Everyone was waiting at least 10-15minutes for their drinks and there was not enough room inside to stand and wait. I was crammed in a corner near a table and the utensil counter, trying my best to take up as little space as possible. For a small milk tea drink, you can choose three free toppings and they give you quite a lot for even the smallest sized drink. I ordered the matcha milk tea and it just tasted like unsweetened green milk tea. My grass jelly topping was a bit bitter as well. I wouldn't mind trying the smoothies or food here next time if I'm craving something fried.. there's a lot of options and most of them are about $6 or less. Ordered a regular caramel oolong milk tea w/ boba from here and I thought it was good. It was definitely more for a person with a sweet tooth. They drizzled caramel sauce on the sides of the cup so that was probably why. Despite my overly sweet drink, it was one of the better boba places I've been to in the excelsior district. There are a lot of snack options like popcorn chicken, fries, egg puffs and more. The drinks are also very customizable to your preference, allowing you to choose your flavor, type of tea (green, black, or oolong), and your topping choices. Trying out this new place that just open last year. Milk tea is good but boba is hard (maybe hit or miss depending on who makes the boba). "Eggettes is a no", it's too doughy. I rather have it at Kowloon dessert house in the Richmond or Eggettes in the sunset. Many choices in filling. I definitely like this place compare to all the other milk tea in my area. It melted immediately in my mouth. Service was okay; she was friendly but a little timid. ( two other people kept me company in the process, ordered different drinks and i tried theirs; i believe it was the mango and the cantaloupe slushies ) you do get the option to add toppings and the maximum is three and it's all free. how great is that? the flavors didn't overpower one another and they balanced each other well. with my strawberry milk tea, i can taste the fruit and tea without one overpowering the other. the toppings were chewy, but it wasn't too hard; flavorful and the right amounts too. as for the snacks i did try their potato fries and their ice cream egg puffs for now. the amount of variety and selections are possibly a main reason to why i continue to come back to try some more. potato fries that were on a stick, designed into swirl rings the taste of it was savory and enjoyable. i tried the strawberry/mixed fruit ( strawberry and banana ) ice cream egg puffs. it's egg puffs besides ice cream, coated in syrup and pocky sticks ( marshmallows on them too! ) if you're not one who has a sweet tooth, it might be overwhelming but i promise it is so good. it's worth the sugar rush. i recommend getting it with a companion, it'd be tough to devour by yourself. do keep in mind, depending on arrival and how hectic the place is - waiting is something you have to endure. but it's worth it. also, they do have stamp cards so every boba you buy you receive a stamp. read more

It's about time I wrote a review for a place I've been to for more than 20 times since they first opened. I strongly recommend their lavender black milk tea! Same taste without the milk as well but a little stronger. Before drinking, I would wait for the ice to dilute the milk tea for about 3-5 minutes. Initially it can be very strong and sweet but it grows on you. Hence you should wait for the ice to melt. I also don't have a sweet tooth so this was a drink I can at least tolerate. Their egg puff ice cream dessert was a bad experience for me. I saw a customer get it once and it looked really delicious. So I opted to get one for myself. Major regret for spending $5+ on it. They literally threw on random snack on the whip cream. Pretzels, a SINGLE Pringle chip, almonds, etc. All I wanted was an egg puff with ice cream in the middle and whipped cream on top. In the end, I couldn't even finish it as my ice cream melted. HOWEVER THIS DOES NOT STOP ME FROM COMING BACK. It's the lavender milk tea man. It keeps me coming back. Hands down, one of the best lavender flavor I've tried yet. If they do use a lavender syrup... please don't tell me and leave it to my discretion or else the flavor isn't as legit as it seems... my friends and I did compare it to Boba Guys for the lavender milk tea. (A well known milk tea place to a lower level milk tea place). Let's just say the final winner was Mr T. Y'all did it fam. Boba Guys was lacking something for theirs.. trust me I love boba guys too. Also, I don't think their tapioca pearls are good... it has no flavor to it and is very chewy.
