Rarely do you just happen upon a restaurant that "just stands out"...certainly you've seen them...that is Mr. Thai Bistro...!!! Not a very large restaurant, perhaps with 6 or 7 tables...a seating capacity of 20-25...this is not large, but then again, they don't need too... The menu is quite diverse, curries, vegetables, rices, meats...take your time. I had chose a starter...fried tofu, followed by the Tom Yum Koong soup, then my main entrée the Spicy Green Beans with Chicken. I like spice, and did discuss levels of spice with the server... I elected to go with the "just as it's prepared" level of spice. What's that you ask...well, don't add anything additional than how you normally prepare the meal. The fried tofu was perfect...a light brown outside yet soft inside...very tasty. The soup had a good flavor and two large prawns. Very tasty. Then arrives the spicy green beans with chicken...I'm glad to have not ordered additional spice...it arrived mild, not spicy hot...but the taste buds came alive with all the flavors...oh this was remarkable, truly a masterpiece...!!! What you have here is a real "Gem"...they are certainly a small business. These are your friends, neighbors, family...doing what they love...the love for Thai culture and culinary "awesomeness". Take some time and treat yourself and a loved one to a remarkable experience. If you've not enjoyed much variety of Thai, well my friends, this is the place to go. Delicious! I came here 20 mins before close and they still made me some takeout and treated me with respect! I got the drunken noodles hot and it was very very spicy. I almost got extra hot but the nice guy on the phone said hot would be spicy enough! Boy was he right, if you enjoy things very spicy get it! It cleared my congestion up and had me sweating! Meh. Food was okay but not great. Customer service was good but not great. The decor needs serious improvement and everything could use some updating. The food isn't good enough to have the "hole in the wall" look. There is potential, though, so I hope they make the necessary improvements to take their restaurant to the next level. read more

The basil chicken tasted good but the chicken was so small!! It looks like it's just the right size of chicken but when you bite it, it's all breading with a tiny piece of chicken inside . We also ordered pad Thai in Hot, I guess we ordered the wrong level of hotness. The pad Thai was extremely spicy! It burned our mouth! Lol we love spicy food but the level of this one was extreme!! So be careful! We also ordered chicken spring rolls, the wrap inside was barely cooked. The outside looks crispy but when you bite it it's chewy because of the uncooked wrapper. OMG, THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! Yelp has once again served me well. We were craving Thai food and this place is 5 minutes from our house and had excellent reviews! I had the Pad Thai with "less than mild spice" and it was AWESOME. I'm a whimp when it comes to spicy, so wanted to make sure the spice didn't ruin the dish! My husband had the Thai Rama chicken with medium spice and he said it was pretty spicy (he can usually eat food that is suuuper spicy and not care), but he also said it was very good. Maybe next time he should have it mild spicy. He is sweating and his nose is running, that's how spicy the medium variety is. We also had egg fried rice with NO spice and it was really good. Basically, this is our new fave restaurant!!!!!! If you are a spice wimp, make sure to order the mild or less than mild spice. read more

Today I ordered takeout for the first time in 30 days... a month!!! Due to the coronavirus, we have hesitated on ordering out... but being new to the area and having a craving, led us to order Thai. I was so excited not having to cook for the first night in forever! We ordered the mild Pad Thai and the medium Mr Thai's Fried Rice Supreme. While consistency and flavor was good, both my husband and I could barely taste the food because of both dishes being SO spicy! The crazy thing is I almost ordered medium and medium plus because other places we've tried haven't had much spice at all. Thank goodness we had milk to wash everything down. My husband & I absolutely LOVE Mr Thai! Honestly, I don't think they have anything bad on their menu lol! We've had their pad Thai, pad see ew, yellow curry, kua gai noodles, khao soy, and mango with sticky rice - alllll amazing & delicious. Their portions are so generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the owners & staff are great! Their customer service just makes you feel right at home. This place is fantastic. Best fried tofu around makes their Pad Thai amazing. The heat is perfect. Sometimes, I have to order 'Thai hot'. Not here. The regular 'hot' has the perfect sinus clearing heat. My wife had the Tom Kha Gai and said it was top notch. We also had the veggie rolls (Spring Rolls), and they were crisp, light, and had the perfect sweet and hot sauce. The service is also great. I'm guessing the woman helping us was the owner. This restaurant for Thai food was great. The great chef and owner puts a lot of passion in the business. First impression of the Thai environment is it is clean and nice, we were warmly greeted and escorted to our table, as soon as we sat down they brought free crackers immediately. The staff was beyond friendly and happy to discuss the menu and their personal favorites. They didn't rush us, they took ample time to talk through the menu and make their own recommendations. Patience required... I consider myself pretty picky when it comes to Thai food. We ordered Mr. Thai on a whim and let me tell you, "hit it out of the park!" It took 3 tries to get thru to place our order. The young man who answered the phone was friendly and efficient. He informed us it would take 30 minutes to prepare. We waited patiently... picked up and to our surprise the Chicken Pad Thai was perfectly on point and the Crispy Orange Chicken was above & beyond flavorful and crispy. I think the common ingredient in both dishes that made them so good was *FRESHNESS*! - freshest veggies & healthy ingredients at time of order. THIS is the single biggest reason why this food was so fantastic. According to the nice young man who took our order, their number one complaint is not getting food fast enough. So, if I may...please be patient when ordering here. It's a small family owned business with dad cooking and kids helping. It's not McDonald's insta-food, so it won't be insta-ready. We are grateful to have found this little gem and will continue to support them and plan our order in advance to allow for the needed cooking time and be grateful for their healthy & flavorful meal choice in our home town. read more

The egg fried rice, egg rolls and pad ginger we got were hot, fresh and authentic. This will be a regular takeout place for us going forward. Just had dinner here based on a recommendation. Really happy that I listened! The service is great! Radon and his wife are really friendly and talk with their customers. The food is awesome! We had the Pad Thai, which my son loved. He's actually a little bit of a picky eater when it comes to noodle dishes too. The curry was both flavorful and had the right amount of spiciness to it. Why we found this restaurant just now beats me.. but we're so happy that we have a good Thai restaurant down the street from our house. Tom Kha- really good! The broth was well-balanced, sweet, sour and spicy! We loved it. Basil Fried Rice w/beef- well seasoned. I might ask for it next time maybe with less oil though (if that's even possible) Mango Sticky Rice- delightful!
