Ugh! I hate to give a bad review but the meal I had here was gross. I ordered ShuMai and it tasted antiseptic. Also ordered the Shrimp Tempura which was okay but the breaded oysters were the worst. I took one bite and could not eat anything else. People around me were ordering Sushi so Perhaps that's the trick. I would avoid the appetizers there. :( Just got back from a Las Vegas trip where I had the Best Asian food Ever and I was looking for a good place here but it has been a disappointment so far. Very entertaining, good food, good price. It's a family tradition to go to a Japanese steakhouse around my birthday, which is near Christmas. This outing usually consists of a large group of family and friends with drinking involved. We started with drinks and ordered appetizers and our main course. Shortly after the chef came out to prepare the meal on the open grill top table we were sitting around. He performed all sorts of knife tricks and juggling and tossing skills. We got lots of Saki sprayed into our mouths from a squirt bottle.... kinda odd but fun nonetheless. The food preparation was very entertaining and the chef stayed very involved. My friend ordered a couple Saki-bombs for him and I after eating. Soon after we noticed the table behind us have a Saki-bomb drinking contest. It was a dentist office having a Christmas party. My dad being the competitive type, and single, noticed the dental assistants and hygienists right away... My dad volunteered me for the challenge that I could drink my Saki-bomb faster than any of the dental office crew. The doctors said they would pay, and invited me to join in. The shot didn't drop into the beer on the first round and it was a toss up who really won. The manager brought out another round on the house, she claimed her setup was bad and it was her fault the shot didn't drop. The second round I beat everyone but secretly I was only drinking against the 2nd and 3rd place finishers from the ladies previous contest. The third and final round of Saki-bombs they brought in their best drinker. She was a fierce competitor and talking lots of smack. By now the whole restaurant was watching us and the manager brought out the drinks on the house once again. We slammed the Saki-bombs and I beat her fair and square. It's always nice to beat a person who talks a big game.... With my fifth Saki-bomb.... I was done... Props to the manager for letting us all have a really great time and for buying us some drinks. We had a great evening and I am sure a one time experience here. We will be back to have another memorable night of food, family and fun. read more

For the non-teppanyaki (benihana) eaters: Avoid this place like the loose girl with the clap. I went there with a few co-workers this past week and had the major misfortune of eating there. Do not repeat my mistake. I ordered the beef negeyaki which is thinly sliced steak rolled around spring onions. It is then grilled and served with some sauce. This is usually a spot-on dish at a good resty. Here it was nasty. The beef wasn;t grilled and it was doused in the most plain teriyaki glop ever tasted. It was difficult to tell that this was even teriyaki sauce. I asked for some other sauces and even they did not make this dish taste any better. At least the service was OK but our server was Chinese and mandarin was spoken quite frequently throughout the resty, which is generally a red flag for less than authentic food. read more

Visited here with a few friends for the first time because we were craving hibachi. Nothing like the mount fugi in Westminster. Service was pretty good but at the hibachi grill you pay full price for a dinner and get about half the size of the portions you'd get at any other decent hibachi spot. Honestly quite disturbing how little amount of food you get for the price you pay. If you're looking for quality go elsewhere, this location is definitely skimping. 66.00 later and still hungry. I have only had Sushi here so I can't comment on the teppanyaki or other dishes here. I just order sushi, sushi and more sushi. I originally started going to the Castle Rock location. It is very small and nothing awesome inside. The Parker location is larger and more modern. The sushi seems to be pretty much the same. I usually order the more elaborate rolls and they all tasted pretty good. Nothing amazing but still pretty good. The one roll that always has me coming back is their spicy tuna. I'd say in general the spicy tuna is my favorite roll and Mt. Fuji does it different than anywhere else I have gone. They put a little red onion in the roll and it makes for a really interesting and yummy flavor. My mouth waters anytime I think of it. There are always some good coupons for this place either in the mail or at restaurant.com and so on. read more

I've been to the Parker and Aurora locations, skip the Parker location if you are looking for good Sushi. I haven't had the teppanyaki at either so I can't really speak to that. The food wasn't terrible but service was extremely slow on what looked to be a slow night. I spent $100 for two people which seemed to be a bit much compared to other nearby sushi places. The rolls on the al la carte menu such as spicy tuna, California and such are super tiny however the specialty rolls are good size and quite tasty but look to pay anywhere from $13 to 15 per specialty roll. When we walked in the music was blaring loud and I could barely hear when conversing. The sushi rolls were okay, but when I went to eat the sashimi I ordered it was not fresh at all and tasted way to fishy to be fresh. (Mind, I lived in Florida for countless years and know what fresh seafood tasted like) I didn't mind the fact that the food was bad, but when I mentioned it to my server she gave me attitude and told me the fish was fresh. I asked her to take it back since I would not be eating it and not to charge me for it. I got the bill and she had charged me $5 for old fish that I had not even taken more than one bite of. I love this place! The one in Castle Rock is the best in my opinion (better atmosphere) but the one in Parker is great too. I've never had a problem here. The food and service are always stellar. Whenever we have company in town that have never done Hibache we always take them here and they love it! My only gripe would be that if you order Hibache but you don't sit at the Hibache you get a significantly lesser amount of food than you would if you were sitting there getting it cooked in front of you. I had high hopes for this place. All of the rolls we ordered sounded delicious but ended up being disappointing. The rolls were not rolled tight at all and the flavor was just not good at all. Variety is good, fast delivery, salt level extremely high. Couldn't even use the soy sauce because all the sushi, fried rice, miso soup all very salty. The fish I have to say was very fresh. I have usually enjoyed my meals at this location in Parker. Have run into Poor waitstaff/Service on a few occasion, but no complaints in regards to the hibachi chef. The food is good and because they constantly put out coupons for dinner time online and in various ads. You do not have to wait for a special occasion. you can enjoy a nice meal for around 50 or 60 bucks for two. Minus the alcoholic beverages. Don't waste your money!!! I've lived in Hawaii for five years, travel to Tokyo & Okinawa, and eaten at many Japanese restaurants across the US and Mt Fuji is by far the lowest quality of Japanese food I have tasted. Though the food was fresh and the chef was friendly, they just put zero effort into cooking the food leaving it with zero flavor! When looking across the room, everyone else received the same experience. In addition, the bill was over $160 for six people. Needless to say I will not be back! So if quality Japanese cuisine is what you are longing for, buy a cookbook and make it yourself. Even if you mess it up, I bet the taste will be much better than their food. Best of Luck! read more

Pretty average hibachi place. 3 stars isn't a bad thing. I'd come back because it's the only hibachi place around it seems but it does the job and fills my hibachi craving when it comes around. It's nice on the inside and all the staff are attentive and helpful. Certainly isn't the best hibachi I've ever had but it seems like it could be a pretty consistent spot to go back to from time to time. read more

I agree with the overall three star review. I took the family here for dinner the other night and the food was good, but nothing special. It was 100% what you expect in a Hibachi restaurant. We all had hibachi of some variety with the rice, noodles, soup and veggies. Like a lot of hibachi restaurants, the dinner prices seem really high for the quality of food. With the average dinner entree costing about $28, I would not return for dinner. The service was just ok. Not overly warm and welcoming but efficient. We made a 6:30 reservation and waited for over half an hour for a table only to watch a party come in for a 7 pm reservation and get seated immediately. Why? Two teenage boys running the front. We called the manager and asked why? She agreed it was a poor decision. They offer a free appetizer to make it up to us. Well...you decide. Worth it? The food is pretty good, but I haven't experienced service this bad in a while. No joke, I ask for miso soup as an appetizer and the lady asks to see my ID. I never got the miso soup. Then my food comes out and half the rolls I ordered are wrong, but of corse my bill is charged with the correct rolls which of corse are more expensive. The best part of Mt Fuji is the entertainment provided by the hibachi chefs! They are talkative and so funny and it makes for a great interactive experience!! The servers are nice too. The food is always delicious and there is plenty of it. Our family of five always has leftovers to take home. We like the hibachi dinners with shrimp, scallops, chicken, and steak. The hibachi soup, house salad, vegetables, and noodles that come with the hibachi dinners are always delicious and we upgrade steamed rice to fried rice. Our kids love the Japanese sodas. The atmosphere is ok, the place could definitely use some sprucing up (this is the reason for the four stars instead of five). read more

Mt Fuji is my go to sushi place! Their chefs know how to serve and prepare fresh sushi in a land locked state....someone needs to give them a medal. The quality of their fish is always consistent and I'm amazed at the freshness of the sashimi. I have tried new things solely because of how delicious everything looks walking by my table! I've also always wanted to check out their Hibachi, they have great Sunday/Monday deals. My usual order is salmon sashimi and a spider roll but my "Lazy Special" includes Mt Fuji's (free) delivery service. Their delivery is FAST, I've had my sushi delivered to my door in less than 20 minutes before! Definitely give them a try read more

We've ordered from here many times and have been pleased with the food. They haven't changed their menu during "Covid-19" as a few of the "other" restaurants have in Parker to "Dinner Only" menu. We would recommend them for take out or dining within the restaurant. read more

I order off yelp delivery & ordered the spicy tuna crunch, 2 shrimp tempura rolls and a Cali roll. They all tasted pretty good, my favorite was the shrimp tempura. Each lunch special came with two rolls, soup and a salad for a little over 8 dollars. I also ordered the veggie tempura and that was really good as well, still warm when delivered! I ordered spicy mayo and panzu sauce and realized once the driver left they forgot my sauce :( I called and they told me that they would send would the driver back. Solid 3 Star - Eh, Meh, Just OK Joint. We had good luck at our neighborhood Mt.Fuji in Southlands, so when we spotted this Mt. Fuji coming home from a Costco run ( side note: The Parker Costco ROCKS !!! ) we jumped -- And who wouldn't -- Costco shopping is hard work Service for us wasn't an issue -- it was 5:30pm. The joint was practically empty. Not only did the young server check on us often , the hostess dropped by a few times. My gripe was food itself The hubby's sukiyaki was served pre-cooked. Instead of the ingredients on the side, so you can cook the meat to temp. yourself...everything was already in the broth, so the meat was over-cooked even before serving. I didn't try it, not my thang, but I also noticed that 1/2 the standard ingredients weren't included -- it was basically meat and a boy choy looking green. My sushi was pretty bad- I love sashimi, but the selection was very limited, so I had to stick with the standards -- tuna ( 2 varieties) and salmon The presentation was Ok -- the chef made an attempt to make it look pretty, but his knife work stunk. I was served huge slabs of fish -- sure that's what sashimi is, but usually they cut it so it melts in your mouth -- this had the silver tendons all through it -- YUK It was so thick and not very fresh, it was hard to eat. I left allot on my plate -- Totally SIN We won't be coming back to this one -- too bad, it's really convenient after our weekly Costco run. read more

I called the restaurant twice and they told me it was on its way but could provide no other information or help. The food was cold and disgusting. I am disputing the charge! I do not like this restaurant at all! I tried the sushi here and it tasted like the sushi you would get out of the refridgerated deli section at a grocery store. It by far is the worst sushi I have ever had. My husband had a terryaki bowl and he said it was meh. The only saving grace was the service. The waitress was very attentive and friendly.
