I've been going to Mt Lowe's for years at this point but really started going weekly on Wednesdays for trivia and somehow it's an even better experience! The staff are all incredibly nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Stepping in to Mt Lowe's is like stepping into a friend's house - there's music and some TVs as well as games you can play at a table, plenty of seating too. They have food vendors there almost all the time which is great so you don't have to wait in line at the nearby In N Out for 25 minutes just to order. The staff source the vendors themselves and love taking feedback from customers, which is something I appreciate. Such a cool brewery tucked in Arcadia. The space is pretty big with an indoor section and an outdoor, dog friendly section. My friend had a baby shower here and all of their friends' dogs were able to play. They have some games outside too. Got a cool glittery drink because it's nonalcoholic but they have a wide variety. I've been here another time before and people could definitely miss it because it's not on the main streets but definitely worth checking out. read more

Ahh I love Mt. Lowe. The vibes, the events they host (Paint Nite, Beer and Magic, UFC Nights, Bingo, Trivia etc.), and they always have different beers on rotation. They have indoor and outdoor seating, enormous booths and food vendors on some nights. They also have board games you can borrow, but if that's not your style, feel free to bring your own and play the night away with some friends. Restrooms are generally clean, and bountiful street parking. Also they have a really cute cat roaming around the place. My one feedback which isn't really feedback more like a request, they used to do Schitts Creek Trivia night but they don't anymore! If you're reading this Mt. Lowe bring that back!! So came to Mt Lowes for our usual Sunday bingo. We had our usual "bungalow blonde," my guy ordered "the hills have eyes." They had a pizza vendor "Bad Boys pizza" thought we'd give this vendor a try. Visited this brewery for the first time and it happened to be during the halloween weekend. It was packed, so we barely found parking which seemed to just be street parking. As we walked in, it was like walking into a party. The whole atmosphere was lively and fun with people dancing and having a great time. They had unique drink options and even had special halloween drinks. I got the hocus pocus drink which was just a michelada, but it was great! I loved how they had an indoor area along with an outdoor patio with plenty of space. There was also food trucks outside. This is one of my favorite breweries, wish I lived closer to go more often. If you are in the area and love beer, you have to try this brewery. read more

4 Stars We happened to visit on a Trivia Night, so it was super crowded, and no booths were available when we arrived. Despite the packed space, our group joined in on the trivia fun and had a great time! For snacks, we grabbed some small tacos from a vendor in the back outdoor area. They were the only food option, and while tasty, they were a bit pricey. The outdoor area was mostly empty because of the brisk night, but the heat lamps made it a viable option, especially for larger groups needing space on the benches. While waiting for seats to open inside, we passed the time playing the giant Ring Toss in the corner of the room. Eventually, we snagged seats and ordered a flight of beers. You've got the brewery and a huge outdoor patio with plenty of seating and tent like easy-ups over some the tables, which are picnic style. They have a inflatable TV in the patio with a big screen that play movies. It's Halloween time and they were playing Nightmare on Elm Street. There is a delicious food truck serving up some bbq goodness that pairs perfect with a cold beer. Great place to stop by with friends, plan a party/ celebration, date night, solo, it's all good! April 2022 - Went on a Thursday night. No wait. Food/Pricing - $2.25 for most tasters. $3.25 for the Glitter AF. They had a food truck but I didn't partake. The beers were okay and didn't taste the same as when I last came a couple of years ago. Service/Ambiance - Service was okay. At one point I could've sworn I saw one of the bartender sniffing at the taster after he poured it... almost like he was trying to figure out if he poured the correct one?? Then proceeded to place it onto the table to serve to customers. It was a bit disturbing to say the least. We really came here to enjoy the chill vibe and it usually is but little did we know they had live (and too loud) music that night. Even when we sat the furthest we could from the music, it was still difficult to hear one another speak. Will I be back? Likely not for awhile, unless friends want to come. read more

Came here for my best friend's birthday recently and we all had an awesome time!! Loved the vibes inside. Everybody was super chill and friendly. They had a pretty wide selection of beers to choose from. I'm not a huge beer person but they offer some fruity or sweeter alternatives which were so light and refreshing. We got the flight of beer so we were able to sample a few different ones and it was such a great idea. They also had a BBQ food truck outside when we were there and we got a delicious Brisket Sandwich & Fries. We didn't get to go outside that evening because there was a private event at the time but we'll definitely be back to check more out. read more

I like coming here for the good vibes, the place can be packed sometimes but they have so much seating inside and out it isn't an issue. The staff is great always friendly and active. They always have someone cooking outside or you can order delivery. The only thing I don't like is the beer menu, it's not a lot of options and the flavored ones are not that great, prices are tho so...Hope it stays open! read more

We got to try a few beers from here yesterday at the Monrovia Beer and Wine festival. Their Glitter AF beer was one of our favs of the whole festival! It even had edible glitter in it. It was very light and fruity. It's definitely the type of beer you could accidentally drink way too much of without realizing it, especially on a beautiful weather day like what we had yesterday. LOVE. I'm not a beer girl, but I found myself craving Mt. Lowe's beers days after my first trip here. We came here after doing a local hike and everything was great! We sat outside and ordered via phone which was super convenient. It's a very cool, casual spot with a nice outdoor setup. I tasted: Tears of 1000 Apricots, Blonde Awakening, Beer Float (made with the Thaddeus beer, a delicious chocolate stout), Quad Decker (thick!), and Glitter AF (they were out of the Weisse so I got this instead; it was delicious and actually "glittery"/pretty) :)) All of the options were unique and delicious in their own ways. Very few places that I can say this; that even in current Covid restrictive times, I love going to. Mt. Lowe Brewing Co. It's at the top of my list of breweries right now. I absolutely love it here. I seriously suggest Mt. Lowe to everyone. We may not be able to crowd and enjoy the indoor space but the outdoor space is smart. I appreciate the more than 6 feet separation and all the safety measures they have in place. It's extremely clean and well maintained. I feel completely safe. What I love the most is that instead of making everyone feel like they are not allowed to be near other people, they make you feel like you are getting the VIP treatment. Each party has their own eazy-up tent that feels very private. You encouraged to stay within your area unless making a B line to the restrooms only. The friendly servers take your orders at the table, bring the drinks and food directly to you. You can place orders on your phone as well using the scannable QR code at each table. The beer selection is great. If you're like me and want to try them all.. just go for it. Tasters are available for each beer. The food is pretty good to. There is a resident food truck with some killer garlic fries and sliders. Did I already mention I love this place?! Already planning my next visit. *Reservations are a must since this place is pretty popular. Reservations are for 2 hour limits but they won't bother to rush you at when your time is up unless they have people waiting. *Parking is available on the street right in front if you are lucky. I try to be there when they first open to avoid a wait and so that I can snatch up a good parking spot. read more

Came in on a Friday night for some beers. They have a great outdoor space in the back. There's tables, tents, and they have heaters for when it gets a little chilly. It's a big space, plenty of room for social distance. It's a good spot for a date or small group. The beers were great. I liked their fruity beers like the Passionate Kisses and Tart Apple. Their blonde ales were good too, they'd be a good refreshing choice for when it gets warmer. A food order is mandatory. It's a pretty simple menu with tacos, a burger, and fries. They also have a brunch menu for the weekends. I got the fish tacos and vegan tacos. They were good but needed some spicier salsa. Service was good. Friendly staff in masks and gloves. You scan the qr code for the menu and order and pay thru the square site. Took me a minute to get it going but it was pretty simple. There's street parking up and down the block. Great brew, great crew. The beers are great and a good selection and prices, for in-house pints or to go Crowler, growler or 4-packs to go. My favorites are Space laser, Hedda Hopper and Passionate kisses. But a lot to choose even the good Quad Decker! I have been coming since 2019 and place was great and booming pre-covid and found myself picking up crowlers during covid. Now they have reopened following the guidelines and doing a great job. Felt safe as seeing the place so clean and staff really working hard to serve you drinks food and cleaning thoroughly. So tip well if you can, they deserve it. My favorite local brewery in Arcadia area :) This review is specifically for their pre-COVID times. What's not to like for a brewery that offers so much for their customers? Mt. Lowe is a spacious area that's decorated with lots of market lights (I love market lights). It offers amazing beers, food trucks, lots of board games/games, cool events, and it's even dog-friendly :) I've been here a few times and it's great for date nights or just to catch up with some friends/family. I came here one night with my brother and sister-in-law and it happened to be their bingo night...I won a few prizes here and there so that was pretty awesome :) With lots of beers on tap and even merchandise to purchase, I'd say this brewery is a gem of Arcadia for sure. I really liked Mt. Lowe pre-COVID, but our recent visit back here on 10/25/2020 was just inexcusable. I came here with my family visiting from out of town to support local breweries. Instead we were met with a rude confrontation from the server and manager for not ordering one food item per person, a rule we weren't told about until we were confronted. Our party of 4 arrived around 4pm and was seated in the back patio. Prior to seating us, the server told us no one can get up from their seats unless it was to use the restrooms and we had to keep our masks on. Okay, sure. We each got a beer and ordered 1 carne asada fries and a garlic fries to share. The server brings out the fries with two sets of utensils, and when we asked for additional, she mentions that she'll bring them over soon and walks away. We all order our second beers, when she comes over and says "And you guys are waiting for more food to come out, right?" Confused, we told her we just got the 2 fries and she mentions now FOR THE FIRST TIME that each person is supposed to get a food item per their policy. With two beers in, no one had the stomach space to order more food. We told her we didn't know and the server tells us it's on their social media. ARE YOU SAYING WE HAVE TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO KNOW WHAT RULES WE'RE SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT? This is the worker's responsibility to let us know once we arrive, not after everyone has ordered two beers. Cue the manager. She comes over with a no-BS attitude and tell us to get up and leave. We try to explain to her that we'll go, but the hostility and confrontation were not necessary ESPECIALLY SINCE YOUR STAFF FAILED TO INFORM THE CUSTOMERS OF THE ONE RULE YOU GUYS WANT TO ENFORCE SO BADILY. No, we don't want your boss's contact information. I get that everyone is just trying to do their jobs, but the onus of informing the customers of your latest policies should be on your staff, not the customers themselves. My recommendation for Mt. Lowe: Inform the customers of the "one food item per person" rule before seating them. read more

There's an entrance on the north side as well as the south side. They both have parking locations. The restrooms and game area was on our left and the bar/order counter. There's a variety of seating choices that ranged from countertop seating, table seating, as well as comfy booth seating. Berry forward and a slight farmhouse tang made fun to watch and drink. The breakfast burrito was huge. The tortilla was fresh. The flavors mixed well. I love this local brewery. I'm so glad it survived the covid era and is back up to speed. The good that came out of that tough time is the outdoor patio they created which they have kept. It's a nice biergarten-style outdoor space to drink a beer and chill. You can really stretch out. It's a great area if you're bringing kids or have a support dog etc. The beer is of course really solid. A good place to go if you like hazy IPAs.
